  1. Im starting to like the scabs. They seem to call flags more evenly and not give better teams the benefit of the doubt.
  2. Arizona fumbled. NE went for the FG to win the game and missed it.
  3. I was busy enjoying Buffalo curb stomp KC. For those who watched, what did Arizona do to completely throw NE off of their game? Not many teams can keep NE to 12 points for 57 minutes. Clearly Arizona saw something in NE's game tape and took advantage of it. If Chan can key in on that same thing, 3-1 doesn't seem so unrealistic any longer.
  4. I feel a lot better after watching Arizona handle NE. I trust that Chan will study the Arizona game type and key in on what they did to throw Brady and Co off of their game. 3-1 doesn't seem unreasonable anymore.
  5. Where do you get the idea that this always happens? It absolutely doesn't. If it did, there would be no sacks in a game. THERE IS A REASON WHY IT'S ILLEGAL. Very amateur. He actually said it's almost never called. What? More like its almost ALWAYS called.
  6. Actually, yes. Ed Hochuli once said he always listens to players complaints and makes sure he looks out more attentively for them next time.
  7. There is a BIG difference between being aggressive and being illegal. And a few plays? According to the source, it was almost every play. You continue to blow off the fact that shoving your hand in a DE's face is NOT a small deal. You dont seem to understand that. So do me a favor. Put on some pads. Go out to your local college teams practice, and try rushing the passer. But wait, before you do that, tell the RT to shoot his hand into your facemask. Watch how fast you are stopped in your tracks. Ive had it happen mutliple times in my career. There is no fighting it off. Youre stuck. Bingo.
  8. It's context. He's complaining about it in a LOCKER ROOM, after a FOOTBALL GAME, to FOOTBALL REPORTERS around FOOTBALL PLAYERS. He was asked to explain why his production wasnt there. So he explained. He wasn't talking about it in the context of your mortgage or car payment or child support. Bringing up the motive of real life problems is just ignorant and hurts your case. It has no place in this argument. Anyone who has stepped on a Football field knows that there is no "fighting through" hands to the face. Thats why it's illegal. It stops you in your tracks. The only way to combat it is to stoop to their level. But there is no fighting through it.
  9. That has to be the oddest thing ive ever read.
  10. What do you do for a living? Alright, im going to give up on this thread. Its clear that those who are saying "he should have fought through it" and blah blah blah haven't played a down of football in their lives.
  11. I have no problem with him taking it to the media. Why NOT? There is no other way that the NFL is going to take notice unless someone makes an issue of it. For those who haven't played football, there is a REASON why hands to the face is illegal. It's damn near impossible to move like that. That's why DB's are not allowed to do it against WR's and why Linemen have the same rule. When your neck is snapped back, all leverage is lost.
  12. I'm stunned this thread hasn't gotten more views. If thats true, there is a serious issue. Its nearly impossible to get to the QB if you have an OL hand in your facemask every play. It ruins your initial push - which is part of why it's illegal.
  13. I don't think Peyton would have come here, but if it was purely our choice, Peyton is the clear choice.
  14. I dont understand what you are trying to say here. That his fumble ruined his 190 yard performance? Give me a break.
  15. Huge mistake by Irsay. Manning looks the best he has looked since 2006.
  16. Big Ben not so much. But Peyton Manning? Im drooling. He's just toying with the Pitt defense. Fitz will NEVER be that QB. I like Fitz, but it is what it is.
  17. Spiller averaged 12 yards per carry, Fred was great last season. MVP worthy. But If anyone was on another level, it was Spiller today.
  18. What is with these? If they were automated, why wouldnt they reply immediately to the thread instead of waiting until a few responses?
  19. They were pressing them hard the first half of the game and getting beat BAD. Stephen Hill was B word smacking Gilmore at the line and going right past him. Thats why.
  20. Complicated? This offense is freaking simple. Three step drops and slants.
  21. Aaron Williams played 10x better than Gilmore today. And he had a forced fumble.
  22. Based on what? or are you just pulling stuff out of your poop hole? Spiller took almost every carry for the last 7 games last season.
