This is the argument my friend makes. "I'll never vote for Trump because he's evil." He gets his "news" from Facebook and CNN. Trust me - anyone running on the GOP side will be smeared in mainstream media as evil. JD Vance is the most normal guy there is. He grew up poor, went into the military, got the GI Bill to put him through college, did super well, had success in the private sector, wrote a book about his life and got famous, and went into politics. He has a wife and kids "of color" (not sure why it matters but to the Lefties it does), is super smart and a veteran, has good ideas and policies, and is well spoken. My friend thinks he's the next coming of Satan and thinks he's the next Trump. If you guys think they will ever give any GOP candidate a fair shot then you are living in a fantasy land.

Well I hope not. That would be quite a jump from 3% to 40% in the next 5 years. Sounds like scare tactics because that math sounds impossible but if that's legit they should do something about it now before it becomes an issue. Absentee landlords, no matter if they are corporations or individual investors that don't live in the area, are bad for everyone. They don't keep up their houses and only fix them up after the city sends them threatening letters. I don't like HOA's but I also don't like neglected homes so hopefully somewhere in the middle there is a common sense solution.

Of the 100's of real estate transactions I've been a part of I've never once had something sell to a corporation. I have had a good number of buyers from China though interestingly enough!

No money to be made in low cost housing. The margins would make it not worth it for anyone. So your plan I'm guessing would be subsidize development using all of our tax dollars. That's how you end up with ugly low class housing like the projects or those tall ugly concrete apartment buildings throughout Russia. I don't want any of those housing projects in my neighborhood and neither does anyone else. The easiest solution is get illegals out of this country. As Vance said, let's start with the over 1 million illegals with a criminal record. That's a no brainer. Please tell me which construction company is building low income houses? We build the best of the best which is not going to be affordable to most people 3. New housing is expensive because materials are expensive because gas is expensive, something Kamala will not help with 4. Rates are crap because inflation is high so nobody can afford a loan on a new house even if they need one. My brother and his wife had their 2nd baby and both make 6 figures and they can't afford to move to a house with more beds and baths because their mortgage rate would double 5. I think Vance made the point that she had 3.5 years to fix things and she didn't. I think that moves the needle for undecided. Immigration and the economy are the 2 biggest issues for voters and Vance won on both of those topics.
