Nope. Come for liberties and catch bullets. My faith is something I’m willing to die/kill over. Which is, of course, exactly why the left wants to come for your guns. You can’t oppress an armed populace. So, a reminder: when it comes time to bury/hide your guns, it’s time to start using them. Piles of dead authoritarians are far more valuable to humanity than rooms full of live ones.

So this is your declaration that candidacy for high office is a de facto insulation against being investigated for crimes? Or is it that this is only the case when a Republican holds office? Or only when Trump holds office? Do President’s have the authority to set and conduct foreign policy? Do they have the authority to pressure the governments of other nations to aid in the investigation of criminal matters which bleed across borders?

You think you’re unique in that you’re presented with the opportunity to learn? It’s an opportunity every one of us was, and is, presented with. Most here were anti-Trump. Most are not/were not Republicans. Speaking for myself I was a vocally anti-Trump, free banking, classical liberal (possibly closer to a minarchist). I’ve never cast a ballot for a Republican for the office of President. The information Greg has presented over the past three years don’t mesh with any narrative I support. I believe non-voluntary taxation to be theft, and that the Federal government as it exists today should be abolished, and a new framework established similar to the Articles. But even more strongly I believe that the consent of the governed, and self determination, are the only things that legitimize governments; and that failed states observably don’t produce libertarian utopias. As such the peaceful transition of power is paramount. Greg’s argument, which we have heavily scrutinized over the last three years, has turned out to be much more plausible than what you hear from the MSM. Our government is not “the things we decide to do together”. Our government is a control mechanism and a tool used to hold a certain class of people above the laws they create for the rest of us. Read Greg’s argument. -

Yes, engage with truth. You seem to be incapable of it. You’ve been offered the opportunity to learn, but you routinely rebuff anything that challenges your biases. Most recently you won’t answer the hard questions you’ve been asked about the Biden’s. Demonstrate intellectual honesty. -

I meant portrays. I originally wrote essentially what you have above, then rewrote it because I didn’t like the flow, and didn’t edit everything out because I was being too hasty Unfortunately it leaves me with a very dopey writing error. Honest men can admit to mistakes. Other readers should take note. -

It certainly fits with his character, though I don’t remember it. I’ve had him on ignore ever since I realized what he was, and only engaged him now because he responded to my post to Greg. The board is so much more readable when you simply remember to flush the toilet. -

You think I’m trolling you? I don’t engage in that sort of thing. My time is too valuable, and my posting history will attest to the claim. Whereas your posting history portrays a dishonest, dishonorable man. Greg has far more patience than I do, and he believes that most people have honorable intentions, and can be “reached” if just given a chance. It’s a point we disagree on. I find that when people refuse to engage with truth, and perpetuate lies in face of stark truth, that those people are knowingly choosing what they are. It’s possible you’ll prove me wrong, and you’ll be honest in honoring your wager; though if it’s your intent to try your hand at honesty you don’t need to wait until November of 2020. You’re free to give it a try right now. -

I don’t believe you. I’ve never seen you do anything else honestly here, so why should anyone trust you this one time? Even your profession is dishonorable, grading only slightly below tax-collector. -

He’s not going to honor the bet anyway. None if these people care about justice, or law, or honesty. Look at the folks here who refuse to engage with the truth: they actively obsfucate, and survive on a diet of logical fallacies they’re required to twist themselves into pretzels to present. It’s not even subtle. They know they’re wrong, and they know they’re lying; thing is for them this is team sports. They seek power for their ideas, and don’t care how they get it. They’re happy to lie if it advances their political goals. It’s why they were so happy to back the character assassination of Justice Kavanaugh and the Covington kids, and why they support deplatforming and unpersoning those they perceive as their enemies. They aren’t interested in shared values or peace through compromise. They view everyone who isn’t dogmatically aligned with them as an impediment to their end goals who must be ground into submission. The person you’re addressing isn’t a decent or honorable person. He works as a social engineer at a government indoctrination facility, because he wants to undermine parents and propagandize to children. A noble goal for which he’s happy to leverage the enforcement arm of the government to point guns at you and extort your wealth for his own personal gain. You think this type of man will concede anything? -
Rational individuals don’t make time for those who “engage” as you have. Why would anyone take the time to make a detailed explanation to a person whom has already dedicated themselves to wholesale rejection of new information which cuts across his preferred biases? Such a person isn’t worth trying to inform, as they’ve already told you they don’t value the information you can provide. I’ve gone ahead and humored you this once because you directly engaged a post I make in response to another poster; but please understand that you’ve already planted your flag and declared that you’re not worth my time. If you require an education, and decide to seek one in earnest: feel free to ask mea culpa, and I’ll likely honor it. Until such point, you and I are done, as you don’t offer me anything of value. Cheers.

The fun part about dealing with trolls, is that once reality smacks the ***** out of them, they’re exposed and no one takes them seriously. They’ve essentially relegated themselves to memehood, much like the doctor who used to post here frequently who was forced to flee with his reputation in tatters after the “Shah’s spleen” fiasco. You’re essentially the “Church of Tyrod”, only as pertains to things that actually matter. I’m perfectly content to watch you crow, knowing exactly where this path leads you. It’s a fine fate for the generally unlikeable. So, by all means, please carry on. My popcorn is ready.

Your assertion relies on the notions that: 1) a sitting President does not have the authority to set and conduct foreign policy 2) a President does not have the authority to place pressure on other governments to participate in corruption probes which reach across the borders of both nations 3) running for high office is a de facto insulator against being investigated for crimes because it harms electoral chances (an assertion that there should be a tiered justice system)

He’s the President. It’s his job to do exactly that. He conducts foreign policy, including pressuring other nations leaders to comply with investigations into corruption when that corruption bleeds between international borders. The President doesn’t forfeit this necessary power when the opposition party decides to investigate him, especially when the investigation is manufactured in order to prevent said President from exposing that corruption referenced. Further, running for higher office is not a shield from investigation and prosecution. Believing that it does is literally an argument in favor of a separate set of laws for the ruling class. It’s all crashing down. Your whole world is about to burn.
