  1. Nash was drafted by PHX and was traded to Dallas. He didn't test FA twice. So the 2007 era Cavs couldn't attract FA's? It was widely reported that Lebron was de facto GM by the time he left there. He talked guys up and they signed them. That terrible team he took to the Finals? All acquired in order to please Lebron, who wanted them, even with terrible contracts. And when it didn't work, he bounced. My comparison with the Spurs is more about how Duncan didn't test FA to find a better team when they got embarrassed in the Finals. Like Lebron did. Twice. Kobe is still in LA. Hasn't left once. Quick ?'s for you. Does Lebron leave the Heat if they won their last Finals? Does Lebron go back to Cleveland if they don't have Kyrie/in talks with Love/first overall? The answer to both, IMO? No. He doesn't. Which makes his "I'm going home because I've grown as a person" schtick a load of crap. I'd say Lebron's Heat team has been comparable to Duncan's Spurs. Maybe a little top heavy, but I'd take 2011 Wade over Ginobli and etc. Also, are you really gonna blame Duncan for a Spurs tank before he even was drafted? Weak.
  2. Yeah okay. Two of the most successful seasons in recent FSU history, and millions to the school. Sure.
  3. Outside of draftees, who was a bonafide NFL QB FA? Like I said, I'm not trying to exonerate Whaley, and I generally agree with you, but we weren't so different from the Hawks.
  4. Why'd he go back then? And how many years did the Spurs tank to draft HoFers with Duncan? Or the Lakers for the last 10 years when Kobe was healthy? Nash refused to even leave PHX until he was a year or two removed from retirement. The fact of the matter is that Bron chose the path of least resistance to get to the Finals. Twice. He's a mercenary.
  5. Bingo. The rabid posters who make the same arguments over and over, make the same responses over and over, and respond with such emotion, you can picture them steaming over their keyboard, are the ones who usually attract labels.
  6. That's because the premise of your thread is incorrect.
  7. It actually quite simple. People view events and write down their thoughts on those events, without putting them through the lens of someone who has a ulterior motive in how they view those events. The quality of the evidence can be called in to question. The "responsibility" can be called into question. People have different opinions, and don't paint themselves as "Bills' fans" first, people second.
  8. I'm right there with you. I'm just advocating a bit.
  9. Those are the ones that make headlines. I don't have any doubts that there are many more unreported incidents that are thwarted by these programs. Also, just because a single terrorist attack was successful doesn't mean the programs are useless. We lost VIetnam, should we disband the military?
  10. Instead of forfeiting picks, they should have had an AFCE lottery that distributed them to us, the Jets or the Phins.
  11. Yes. Yes. He may get canned even if they win it all.
  12. I meant more the "I love Napier" comments. And that Riley said that they thought he was coming back. And Lebron telling DWade that they'll team up again if CLE doesn't work out. I'm not a fan of the friendly, mercenary NBA. Give me guys who play on the same team for 10 years and have rivals on other teams. Not guys who lose to other teams, then join them in FA. I actually don't like Wade, but I respect him. I don't respect Leb.
  13. There weren't too many good bodies to get in 2014. Also, think back to before camp. Thad was almost a lock to be at least the backup. Can you really blame Whaley when his top two QB's got worse? Was he supposed to predict that? If two QB's on another team turned into bad players, how many other teams would still have good QB's?
  14. You hold it against Lebron that's he's friends with a QB of his "hometown's" football team? Weird. I hold it against Lebron that he swindled Wade and the Heat into thinking he was coming back.
  15. Except we had a competition in 2013. And we only didn't have one in 2014 because we couldn't find a guy good enough to compete. Check the 2013-2015 Bills and compare it with 2010-2012 Seahawks. Both teams searching high and low for QB's. There's quite a bit of similarity. Pre-Whaley though? Yeah, that was a trainwreck.
  16. We traded for Cassel, signed Kolb, signed Orton, drafted EJ, signed an UDFA Tuel, signed Thad. What's the comparison again?
  17. Also, more Lebron being the worst. “I’m a father with three kids. It got very disrespectful,” James said. “I’m OK with competing against Jo. I love the competitive nature, but we should leave it there. The disrespectful words that he said to me were uncalled for." He complained about trash talk. In the NBA postseason.
  18. Because he sucks. The Decision sucked. His speech to his team when he returned to Cleveland sucked. That was the one where he said "[My debut back in Cleveland] is the biggest sporting event in history," to his teammates in a huddle. Quotes like this suck. Wow, pat yourself on the back harder Lebron, no one has ever rolled an ankle in a basketball game. That's a real quote. I don't think I could have made one up that parodies Lebronness more than that. He's pseudo-humble. He's delusional. He's #Blessed but also #NoDaysOffBecauseI'mTheGreatest. He's not even good at spewing PR garbage, but he thinks he is. He sucks. Lebron is what you get when you take a PR drone like Russel Wilson and give him an ego/a delusional sense of the world.
  19. Guess how many Melo's got? Or Chauncey? Just let me hate in peace Yolo.
  20. Tanny has proven to be the 2nd best young QB in the AFC. Not bad.
  21. To infuse some Lebron hate, isn't that like his third ever?
  22. Not explicitly, but the original Reek was Ramsay's for most of his life, so it's possible they crossed paths. Definitely didn't cross the TheonReek. And didn't cross Ramsay pretending to be Reek.
  23. I thought the whole argument was that record doesn't matter, developing a QB matters. I wasn't happy or confident in EJ. That's why. Content is not good enough. Do we really have to rehash the KO signing? I think it's quite obvious how and why he was signed. Juxtapose that signing on the Vikings trading their vet "backup/mentor." I'm not a draft one every year kinda guy. I know they need time. I also know they need to earn that time. Which is why you need more than one if someone doesn't earn that time.
  24. No. That's not my point. EJ had 1 good game in 2014 btw. Who said those reports were overblown? Doug Whaley when he panic-signed Orton? And my opinion was to take a QB in 2014 back before the draft. Don't WGR me and say no matter what happened, it'd be dumb. What's better? 23 TD's in one year, or 15 in two? Remember when I said I wasn't comparing rookie years? And you did it anyway? To make no real point? This is a low hanging fruit.
