  1. He wasn't a starting QB for all of those games. Do you consider playing Special Teams and 2 WC snaps as starting QB time? If EJ was on punt team for week 6 last year, would he have 15 starts?
  2. If you consider one snap at wildcat "starting," he probably does have 35. Anyway, there was no problem claiming Timmy sucks after 2011 because of x reason even though he only played 14 games. Which is why "needing y amount of games" is a case by case and subjective distinction. Have you seen their W/L percentages?
  3. Because I wasn't making an argument in this one.
  4. Oh good lord. I posted a page of stats 3 pages ago. I've made hundreds of arguments on this board. I think it's quite fair to summarize at this point.
  5. I think looking at his numbers over 14 games were also a big indicator. The dude completed 40% of his passes in like half his games.
  6. Because it's irrelevant. I suppose you assume my thoughts on the turmoil in the Middle East or the Keystone Pipeline are also uninformed, because I haven't espoused them when talking about how EJ Manuel hasn't been that good at QB.
  7. What makes you think my opinion is uninformed? Here's a mirror of this conversation. "Tim Tebow kinda sucked when he played." "He's only played 14 games." "Who cares? He kinda sucked when he played." "Yeah but if you can't give me a baseline of how many games someone needs to start before blah blah blah blah blah" "Who cares? He kinda sucked when he played." It's over, Tom. I support EJ. I just think he kinda stinks.
  8. Why should I lie to myself about how I feel about a player? Just because he plays for my favorite team?
  9. I never hat. I make simple points because I've already made long-winded arguments. Instead of giving an elaboration on my feelings about a player, it's easier to point out that a stat, that's being used to support a position different from mine, is incorrect.
  10. In other words, few things in this world are facts with easy to define baselines that don't have exceptions and exceptions to those exceptions. It's a little bit arbitrary and a little subjective. Some scouts will say 1000 attempts, but I don't subscribe to that. I know what I believe. However, describing what I believe and why I believe it is IRRELEVANT because it is most likely different, even in a minor way, to what you or another believe. And because it's a conversation on a different matter of opinion, that has nothing to do with how well the QB in question has played in his 14 games. So there. Stupid.
  11. I remember when I used to enjoy things.
  12. Why would I complain if he wins the starting job? Unless he sucks, and everyone sucks a little bit more, I don't see that happening. Case by case basis.
  13. Oh, so you were playing the "I know what he means but I'm gonna take it to a ridiculous literal level" card. What a waste.
  14. He didn't puke on himself against TB? Against HOU? Irrelevant.
  15. Nah. Chicago is considered a "good" game to many. 173 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT. Miami? 202 yards, 1 TD. Decent, I suppose. Baltimore? 167 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT's, but we won. Is that a good game? NE? 150 yards, 2 TD's. Decent. Cleveland? 129 yards, 0 TD's. Only 3Q's of play, but I doubt he was reaching 250+ and 2 TD+. Pittsburgh? 155 yards, 1 TD, 1INT. Tampa? 184 yards, 4 INT. Jax? 193 yards, 2 TD's, 1 INT. Not bad, but going against a terrible squad. Here's some more fun stats. EJ has thrown over 250 yards 1 game in his entire career. He has thrown less that 200 yards 7 times in his career. He has thrown 2 TD's or more in only 4 games in his career. So no, it's not funny that he's done the latter more often. Because he hasn't.
  16. A good game for EJ is not puking on your shoes and blowing it all. A good game for every other QB involves 250+ yards and 2+ TD's.
  17. Well, that means Bowden goes to bat for convicted rapists, and not accused rapists. Weird guy,
  18. I'm surprised Bowden didn't go to bat for Winston. He's got a track record with FSU rapists.
  19. Personally, I coach my kids to throw the ball where a defender can easily make a play on it. Nothing more exciting than a DB making a play.
  20. Noah has been playing really poorly lately. In wondering if he's got something going on. If Chi drops this series, Thibs goes right?
  21. Nah, I just don't like the "hypocrisy," if you can call it that, of college athletics. No one at FSU was embarrassed when Jameis came out of the tunnel to play Oregon this year (they were after, for different reasons). They're pissing on him as he's leaving, and it's pretty obvious.
  22. But that's my point. Bron wanted those guys, and they sucked, then he left. He didn't feel any responsibility for those bums. You're basically saying that Miami drafting Napier had nothing to do with Lebron. That's silly. Carrying the load or not, who bails on their team when they just went to the Finals? Lame. How many "great" players did the Heat draft for Wade's tenure? He hasn't bailed once.
  23. No, they can't. Their "embarrassment" is cancelled out by both of those things. Especially when the "embarrassment" is petty theft, an allegation, and saying some curse words really loud that one time.
