  1. Carr gets a longer rope because his team was garbage and his coach got fired week 4. He had some good games, with pretty good numbers. Agree on Teddy. The Vikings trading the decent vet QB behind him speaks volumes on their opinion of him. But, again, I reiterate that I'm not comparing EJ post rookie year to them, but EJ now to them.
  2. Did the Panthers and Vikings say they weren't doing anything wrong?
  3. The most interesting thing I see is that Foreign Born White and Black percentages are pretty darn close in the 1930s and on.
  4. You asked me why they have a better chance of being good QB's and I gave you one. Suffice it to say that I think EJ's probability to be good has dropped since the end of his rookie year. I don't know how many good or great QB's were noticeably worse their second year. Carr's and Bridgewater's haven't sucked their second year, and by that virtue, today, they have a greater chance of being successful. I don't care about mock drafts. I don't care what the media thought we should do. Admittedly, my desire to draft another QB in 2014 was more because EJ got hurt 3 times, and less about his performance. He had a decent rookie year, with injury concerns. He wasn't the clear cut starter for 2014 (obviously) and thus, I wanted another one.
  5. Link for percentages? I'd also be interested in seeing those same stats for the Irish-American immigrants during those time periods.
  6. Neither Derek Carr, nor Teddy Bridgewater have sucked in their second year OTA, training camp, practice and games enough to get benched. Especially not enough to get benched for a late August addition, semi-retired 30 year old QB. Just saw this. Hindsight is sorta necessary, or else Whaley can't "get it wrong" just because we can't get the #1 when there's a Luck or a Winston. However, I advocated for taking a QB in the first or second in 2014, and both of those guys were relatively obtainable, IMO.
  7. Is that a serious question?
  8. It's the same problem with Spiller though. Just how effective is Goodwin when he's a little banged up vs Hogan? Spiller, when hampered by injuries, showed some poor play at RB without his speed. If Goodwin is the same, that's an issue.
  9. No QB is a guarantee to be successful.
  10. In reality, it'll be Hogans 10 snaps per game vs. Goodwin getting 4 then missing 6 hurt. So, Hogan. Also, you need 11 STers, not 5. And those guys can get hurt. And Karlos Williams? Already? Nah. And I doubt Brooks makes the team.
  11. No. Boyuel because of how he plays scared. Meh Cassel because he's not that good. Both are indicators of their ability to play football, not a personal attack.
  12. Yes. The coverup is actually worse than the cheating.
  13. Even so, I don't get what Brady has to do with anything. You took a 16 game stat line and applied it to a guy who only played 12. That's wrong.
  14. EJ has had a 4 int game. Brady has had two in like 14 years. What's the comparison? As for, "why not," it's because it makes no sense. It'd be like giving total credit of the entire defense to Brandon Spikes with his limited snap count.
  15. Improving every year, having ProBowl caliber performances, and still being pretty young all work for him to be on his way. He isn't there yet, but he's getting closer.
  16. How can you look at 16 games of stats and claim they totally apply to a guy who only played 12?
  17. Who? Sammy didn't just play 12 games. Tanny is well on his way to being franchise.
  18. It showed that there are still a bunch of clowns in the USA that don't understand rights. Pretty scary actually.
  19. I don't watch for questions to be answered. I watch for games to be won.
  20. The best the Bulls could hope for was 1-1 in CLE. Plenty of series to go. I hope Butler tests FA.
  21. They probably look at where the QB is aiming?
