  1. Couple of years ago I got a small radio with earbuds and I listen to the game on WWKB - AM that simulcast the games without the delay. If you listen to WGR at the game there is a delay and makes it frustrating. Much nicer listening to KB and not worry about the WiFi.
  2. My favorite is when folks say the Bills should spend money on a QB and I wonder how do we get said QB. Easier said then done.
  3. I am enjoying this post. I think Rex is jerking the media around but is honestly looking at all three qbs. I was surprised while listening to NFL Radio makes it seems as if it is a surprise that Rex is probably considering all three qbs. Why not? Chances are in this league one goes down to injury, either short or long term, so now the team does not have to scramble to find a decent backup. Now this is just my theory but from reading how an upright decent guy EJ is he would be ok being the number 3 qb, learning like it was originally intended to be when he was first on the team, and by hopefully this year or next be the starter. I believe St. Doug screwed things up with EJ hoping to have a winning record so he can showcase his miracles and move to a bigger profile of a team. Tyrod is a pleasant surprise but I am afraid with his running he would get injured and then where is the team. So my gut tells me it is Matt's job, he gets hurts or can not move the team, then it is Tyrod's until he gets a concussion and then EJ comes in......... Now if this comes true I am gong to the Vegas and make my first million.
  4. Thanks for the responses. To be honest alot of the times it depends who I go the games. Some friends tailgate, some don't. I appreciate your comments.
  5. In all honesty my days of tailgating have started to slow down. With old age I just like to go the game, have a quick snack, go watch the game, another quick snack and quickly home. I was not sure of prices in other NFL cites but it seems as if the average joe has to pay more and more and I am thinking of just staying home to watch the games but I do enjoy watching at the stadium. Thanks for responses. Interesting to read......
  6. I would like to follow up on this post on parking. I would like to try Hammers but I like quick and easy outs. Are there some decent places on Big Tree (20A) in which I can turn right to head to 219? $25 to park at the Ralph is getting to be too much..... Thank you!
  7. Planning to go watch practice tomorrow and it has been awhile since I went to watch practice. Use to go alot when it was in Fredonia. My question is how do some of you watch practice, do you sit in the stands the whole time or do you walk around and watch some of the different drills? Do you take a chair? How are the food stands? Would you take food with you? Peter King's comments on training camps got me thinking I should revisit the Bills. Thanks!!!!
  8. Just look at who they have as hosts, former players who when they played were playing against Bills teams that were not good, so they are not going to say much about them. I have also observed in the past 'we' (Bills fans) through reading information pertaining to the Bills via this website, other message boards, newspaper websites, etc, actually know more information about the Bills than they do. They have 32 teams to cover and I would imagine that it is difficult to obtain details of all teams that we (Bills fans) take for granted. I think these shows need to do a better job of covering all but I think of this when watching them. Besides I like being under the radar or as an earlier post said, "a snake in the grass"
  9. Hi, I was on the Bills website and didn't see anything about the traditional "Kids Day" for the Bills home preseason game. Does anyone have any information or should I just call the tickets office? Thanks.
  10. Hi, I usually get to one or two games a year and I am in my seat plenty early but this last game I was with some friends in the field house and didn't get to the gate until ten minutes before kickoff. I couldn't believe how long the lines were, how it was one big pushing mass with to me seemed to be no organization or limited personnel to do the searches. Is this usually the case and I should have been in my seat sooner? I thought I read recently in the Buffalo News of this happening. I ended up missing half the first quarter but to me the line was not moving very fast and you have angry people pushing that I am afraid of some young fans getting hurt. Who in the Bills organization should I aim my complaint? Thanks!!
  11. I was hoping to see a thread mentioning how the ESPN crew beat on the Cowboys and their plight. Trent Dilfer was particularly rough and I believe it was Mr. Jackson that actually came out and said that they had no "character." Took me back to the one draft and Marv stating that is the type of player the team wants. As a person that gets sick of all the Cowboys talk I loved it. I keep wondering when Mr. Jones is going to just jump onto to the field and just name himself as the head coach. You know that is what he would love to do.
  12. I found the answer in Chris Brown's blog. http://www.buffalobills.com/blog/index.jsp?post_id=3956 Against the Raiders and the Niners.
  13. The league makes the teams submit a year in advance of any uniform changes. So if the Bills want to make it permament it would be toward next year. Too bad they didn't realize how popular the throwbacks would be this year.
  14. I wasn't sure if folks knew that Marv is writting a monthly column for the USA Today. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/co...9-15-levy_x.htm Does anyone know if this means he is not going to have a column in nfl.com
  15. Yes, also if you check the WSEE's website it has a statement that the NFL requires them to show the Bills' away games. When the Bills are home they must have an option since they showed the Steeler game. It must be tough on the station, there are alot of Bills, Steelers, and Browns fans in that town and you can't please everyone.
  16. Sorry I didn't spell check. I meant to say one that folks prefer over others.
  17. I know this would be better suited in the trading post section but I thought more folks would benifit from posting here. Are there ticket brokers that are more prefitable than others? And which ones are ones to avoid. I have a friend looking for Steeler tickets. Thanks!!!
  18. I too felt that Steve is a lousy play-by-play announcer. An earlier post pointed out how much help did they have in the booth and that is a good thought. But the last couple of years I have been wanting to give Steve the benefit of the doubt but that job is not for him. I liked him when as a player he had his own show or appeared on AM Buffalo. I thought he gave very good insight.
  19. I got a copy today. I was wondering if it worth subscribing to with all the information we get out of this website and others. I just glanced through the issue it seemed to have updated infor. Does it? I don't want to read old news. Thanks.
  20. ESPN also played a clip of Jim's HOF speech where he salutes Hunter. Nice to watch and have Steve and Dan mention the Kelly family.
  21. I read it and enjoyed it. Marv even admits that he is writing from memory and may not have every thing correct. I too, like the folksy way he writes. It is like sitting and having a conversation with him. It was interesting to read about his experiences in Kansas. Marv doesn't ususally say anything bad about anyone but this particular person must have really hurt him alot.
  22. I was curious if anyone else is frustrated listien to Criqui do the call? I use to enjoy him in the past but it seems he is always making mistakes in identiing players and such. I know we who read about the Bills may know more than someone who covers more teams but he must have to do a better job of doing his homework and such.
  23. Hi, a fellow teacher is getting tickets for the Steeler game and she was wondering where to sit, her two choices were the club level endzone under the scoreboard (cheaper) or in the upper level row 36 but on the fifty yd. line. I am leaning toward the endzone. It is her first trip to the Ralph and I want her to be able to see halfway decently. Thanks!
  24. I am glad someone else gets a headache listening to the station. I would much rather hear the ESPN Radio shows than what they offer, especially in the morning. I would love to hear Mike and Mike on the way to work. Being a football fan I want to hear about other teams and such.
