  1. The Bills had their QB playing in the USFL. Anyone with half a brain knew that league was on the verge of folding.

We had drafted our QB first, then fortified the other positions with high premium picks. Something we don’t have.

    There is literally no comparison.

Did they say who they thought the Bills would draft in this scenario?

    i don’t  think so.

They know very little but it’s between them and ESPN who only pimps the NBA.

Not interested in basketball to the degree they discuss it.

If it was the season opener maybe. In recent memory the Colts game followed by the Pats game were pretty loud and crazy

The 1990 and 91 AFC Championship games were deafening, even in very cold weather.

Theres no way to say what games were the loudest but I’d take a logical stab at it and say the 80k seat Rich Stadium was much louder than out current stadium.

I say, what are you asking?

That's negotiation basics. Don't be the first to show the hand. If they're calling  (and they will be) we're in the drivers seat.

If they come back and say two firsts this year, and a first next year I counter with 12, 22, and 96. (likely expecting them to ask for 65 back instead of 96, which i am fine with).

In bartering and negotiation, as soon as you decide that you absolutely must have a thing, you've already lost.

Yes, whomever mentions numbers first loses.

Not sure it works that way in this business but it would be foolish for the team with the pick to just ask for a final offer.

It would likely be something like this:

New England is offering both firsts and seconds and something next year to move to our spot, can you beat that?

When we do they will go to NE and play the same game until a team bows out.

of course he is.  Christ almighty- if someone wanted to trade me 12, 22, 53, 56, and next years 1st- I don't care if Aaron Rogers is in draft- give me the picks and watch my team destroy yours the next 5 years

    Really? You think so?

This isn’t the greatest draft after the first 20 picks, I’d take the strongest players(QB) long before those second rounders.

I consider 22 a second rounder in this draft.

  6. The problem with getting to 6 if you have an end goal of 2 is what it will take to get to 6.

If Arizona knows their competition to 6 is the Bills they know the number of draft picks needed to beat the Bills is going to be high.

We can likely beat their offer but it may come at a price of losing a lot of draft picks,or capital. Then trading to 2 might be out of the question if NY wants picks this year.

Having a bidding war isn’t what we want.

  7. The Cleveland fan is stuck on value and that’s understandable.

Hes not understanding that if the Browns really want Allen and Chubb and moving down a bit gets them those two players anyway then it’s a very good deal.

If the Browns truly want Darnold and Barkley or even Darnold then the deals not happening.

    Why would Cleveland do this?

Because it makes complete sense to acquire high draft assets while getting the same players you would have selected anyway, sans maybe Barkley.

If the Broncos are included then I agree with the Cleveland guy, there’s a risk you lose both Barkley and Chubb and don’t do this deal.

Been interesting, let’s see where these rumors take us.

Richie was great his last 3 seasons , even did his best to learn a complex blocking scheme last season. So they rewarded that effort with a pay cut . That was a real insult.

I agree but he signed the contract.

Beanes almost done removing players from the previous regime. I don’t agree with their move on Incognito but it is what it is.

I don’t understand what their coaches are looking at when grading these guys because he’s been a very good lineman for them.

The reason why they accumulated all of that draft capital is to finally fill the QB void and now some are afraid to spend it.

I do not understand how any fan of this team, fans of mediocrity at best regarding the QB position, can

honestly believe we are better off skipping a QB. This is the year to do it.

The strength of this draft by far is QB.

our oline is a mess, as are our linebackers and wide receivers.  We could use CB depth.  If we trade both 1s, both 2s, and next years 1(which will be top 5 IMO if we trade all that) that will set back Buffalo 3 years at the very least IMO

    Lamar Jackson in 2019

Like who in 2019 for C?  For G?  For WR?  For MLB? For OLB?  For CB?

The assumption that we will hit on those draft picks to fill said holes would be premature.

Id prefer to take the risk on hitting the QB spot.

It’s also an assumption we will not have any quality picks left once trading up.

Yeah I heard it may come down to Mayfield or Rosen for their QB, and it may not be at 1 but could be at 4. Thoughts on that?

You didn’t ask me but I’ll give you the scoop.

The Giants are doing their best to get the Browns to take Darnold, because they want Barkley or Chubb. The Browns know this, most believe Barkley. The Browns want Barkley at 4. The Browns want a QB as well,so there is an internal struggle of what to do.

The Browns love a couple QBs. It’s one of the two they have been linked to not loving.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they took Barkley at 1, then the Giants would be inclined to trade out, and the Browns get one of the two QBs they desire, because the Jets will screw up,as per usual and take Mayfield (and I love Mayfield,he’s just not one of the two best).

Its going to take a lot for us to get to 2, unless we move up to 6 or 7 before the draft. The Broncos are in the spot the Giants want to go back to.

The patriots are not after Lamar Jackson.  It is a smoke screen.  He would not fit their system.  They are after Allen or Mayfield and are just trying to get someone to take the bum.  Jackson is like TT.  Inaccurate and athletic.  It wont be in the NFL long.  RG3.

They are not getting either one. Any team in this league that allows the Pats to trade up that high should be blackballed.

The Rams are on the list.

It's looking more and more like Allen, Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield, Jackson and Rudolph go with the first 16 picks.

    My thoughts are

Allen to the Browns, Darnold to the Giants, Rosen to the Jets, Mayfield to Broncos, Jackson to the Bills and Rudolph to the Ravens.

I'm thrilled if this happens.  Bills get the best athlete with the highest upside in this draft.  Can he start in 2018, no, can he play in specific packages during games to add something else to game plan for, absolutely yes.

The secondary benefit with 6 QB's going first many top players will slip to our spot at 22.

With holes at MLB, OLB, WR, Interrior Offensive line, 3 technique DT, Slot Corner, OT and RB we have exactly 8 picks remaining.

Lets use this draft wisely and fill our roster.

If it’s a QB in your scenario it will be Rudolph, not Jackson.
