Bills fans sure worry less about Trent Edwards and more about their present QB who has lost Nine of the last Ten games he's played in.
-
Well they have to start getting used to winning . Even though it's only preseason they've now lost nine of their last ten games.

Schumer To Announce Plan To Keep Bills In Buffalo
Joe W replied to uncle flap's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That was so underwhelming as to be embarassing to Shumer. Esmoinde got it right two weeks ago, this franchise id DOOMED in Buffalo. The wheel-chair bound owner (Graham's description of him) has no intention of participating in G4. -

Schumer To Announce Plan To Keep Bills In Buffalo
Joe W replied to uncle flap's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Will other other stellar elected officials be there like Higgins and Byron Brown ? Or is Byron too busy bringing the Olympic games to Buffalo ? -
They're called actuary tables. Read Esmonde's column, he brings up good points about the lease. The media should try to contact Wilson for his views on the situation. If Wilson won't or can't address them, there's even more reason to be fearful of their long-term viability in WNY.
-
They don't have to ask for medical exams just a quote about the lease, have his succession plans changed etc. I think there's beena single two sentence quote from Wilson in the past year. Again because he's asking for $200 million ++ from the tax payers he can't leave everyone in the dark and thats where the media has to do their job and it least attempt to contact him.
-
His condition becomes a public matter when he asks for public asistance: taxpayer $'s. Hopefully the next owner will want to stay in Buffalo but given the Cleveland Browns sale price that is going to be very difficult.
-
Esmonde can be kind of pompous with the whole preservation thing but he brings up a lot of good points about the lease and the Bills. I don't understand why the Bils media including Wowrow of the AP haven't tried to contact Ralph Wilson so the community gets some some of his condition and his plan for the team.

Nice article by Donn Esmonde today. He does lay out the realities of the lease situation.

Newsflash Mr. County Executive
Joe W replied to Logical Reasoning's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wilson only had two opportunities to move the Bills. in the early 70's before Rich stadium was built and in '98 when the first 25 year lease expired. At the age of 94 he's not going to move them, call his bluff and make him pay his share of the improvements. -
Stadium Lease being Hammered out
Joe W replied to Hammered a Lot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you believe that the states going to kick in $300 million just like that I have a signature companion Peace Bridge to sell you. This is going to be quite a fight to gt them to contribute anything over 100 million. -

Bills/Toronto series extended 5 years
Joe W replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is obviously an important strategic decision, he doesn't have to come to Buffalo for a press conference but a statement could be issued on his behalf. If they can't even do this you have to wonder how much he's in control. -
Bills/Toronto series extended 5 years
Joe W replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry but this does nothing to lock the Bills into WNY for the next five years. I'm sure Rogers can break it if a new owner wants to move the team. We'll see if the media questions Brandn about these provisions. What is most ominous is there's no word coming from Gross Pointe, makes you wonder who's running this asylum. -
Bills/Toronto series extended 5 years
Joe W replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wonderful, and the only preseason game played there will be the one that Rogers jammed back down here this year. Do the math, the 44% increase in Canadian season ticket holders equals a 1,500 increase. Give up home field advantage to gain 1,500 season ticket holders, what a great deal. -
It's not a done deal that this series will be extended. Rogers is not going to pay the $10 million / game that they are now. Brandon is going to have to come clean as to where these negotiations stand when he begins the stadium lease negotiations. And where is this stadium improvement report ? How long can they take on it ?
-
So during his tenure as GM he basically just sat there with his thumb up his ... if he knew he wasn't a GM he should heve resigned the title. How he got this reputation as a marketing wizard is beyond me, season tickets have declined by a third over the past three years and the Toronto series is a travesty.
-
I thought this topic was about the Toronto series but if you're bringing up the worst GM's in Bills history, Brandon is hands-down the worst ! And Wilson decided to promote him to CEO, talk about Peter principle !
-
Brandon will point to Canadian season ticket sales increasing by 50% (3,000 to 4,500) !! Five years of neutral site games to pick up 1,500 season tickets - some trade-off. There's no $10 million / game windfall coming in the next contract. Time to end this travesty. By the way the Packers haven't played in Milwaukee since 1994.
-
The media should be asking Brandon to quantify the effect of his Toronto regionalization efforts. He says S Ontario comprises 15% of season ticket sales, by my calculation thats about 5,500 Canadian season ticket holders. This compares to about 4,000 before this series began in 2008. Not much of an increase compared to the competitive advantage cost of giving up a home game. This was all about the $78 million and Rogers will not be paying close to that amount again, if they choose to renew. Rogers actually has all the leverage this time.
-
Obviously there is going to be tremendous state wide opposition to funding $200 million for a facility that's used 7 times a year. That's why this improvement report has to be released and let the process begin. Wilson has to come clean on his succession plan, it's a concern that he has made little comment about what's going on with Bills Have any reporters including Wawrow tried to contact him ?
-
Brandon has to release this stadium improvement report immediately so we know exactly what we are looking at. Reporters should be badgering him as to why it is so overdue. The county is also supposed to do a study on the concrete structure of the stadium, where is that? it is getting very late in this lease negotiation game.
