  1. You hit the nail on the head, there's a light year difference between Elway and kelly. Contrast Elway's business accomplishments and Kelly's post football failures's - his "night club", espn firing, Harabaugh punching him out, etc etc His dentist commercials are good though If they're looking at kelly as a saviour everyones barking up the wrong tree.
  2. The answer is : The home team, Team A. Duh.
  3. Buffalo home games in December should be a big home edge, unfortunately there won't be a windfall in the next Rogers agreement if there is one. Rogers took an enormous bath on these games. probably close to $40 Million,
  4. Branden neglects to mention the Canadian Dollar has strengthened by 40 % over the Toronto series period. Probably the biggest element in the ticket rise.
  5. It'll be interesting if Rogers renews the series, they took an absolute bath on it. Theyre probably proposing an incredible drop in the price they pay, something like going from $10 Mm to 4 MM per game, at what point do the Bills say it's not worth it. The windfall all went into Wilson's pocket.
  6. The Bills have approx $127 m in debt per forbes. Doesn't make too much sense to have borowed against all the equity, it still has to be paid back.
  7. Mary Wilson won't have to pay estate tax - spousal exemption. Wilson won't sell the team until he dies to avoid capital gains tax. Pick your poison, Wilsons alive and holds on to the team but nothing changes or he dies and team goes for sale and probably moves.
  8. Time for Brian Higgins to start up his blackout spiel It's his most pressing issue
  9. LaterDude, I have to go trick or treat, maybe I'll go as ralph wilson wonder if anyone will recognize me.
  10. If the Bills had opted into the new blackout policy, this game wouldn't be an issue. They didn't so it is. There's 3500 tix on stub hub alone, why anyone would pay face price to OBD box office is beyond me.It could very well be blacked out unless the Bills or a white knight buy the remaining.
  11. Look at teh august thread, its what you said.
  12. Interesting, i know you haven't. Rogers was going to be resolved but they were busy with the olympics, Cuomo hired a sports lawyer that was going to take care of the lease negotiations.
  13. Well Hubba like I said back in August, maybe if the media did their job and shed a little spotlight on this mess maybe it wouldn't have snow balled into the situation we have now. It's even worse now than what I said in August, that both negotiations are at a stand-still, the owner is 94 and is a recluse and the CEO spouts pablum thats accepted at face value. If I'm clarion of doom, I'm just preparing everyone for what's inevitable: there's a very good chance there's no lease tying this team to WNY and they could very well be gone soon. So you can dismiss what I say as just rants, everyone can take their happy pills and sing Kumbaya together and watch this franchise set onto the horizon. The clock is ticking, to ignore what's happening is irresponsible and the economic damage for WNY is going to be huge. The only bright spot is the owner wont sell until he dies so he can avoid the cap gain tax and he won't move it in his advanced age. So as long as he keeps living the team remains here, he'll keep his front office intact which will prolong the on-field losing and the franchise will continue its death spiral. Remember it was Forbes that dubbed them "the most troubled franchise in the NFL", I don't think even you would argue with that assessment. And remember it was you and members of the media who accepted at face value the statement that negotiations were going smoothly, dare to ask this guy Brandon some of the tough questions. JW
  14. In time you will all see that I am the beacon of clarity. And by the way: rack me. Later
  15. Really not sure why you have such difficulty comprehending the concept of Turnstile atendance vs ticket sold so I'll quit trying to explain it to you. Here is one fact that I think everyone will agree on: Brandon is a tool and don't believe the farts out of his mouth. He, Wilson and Littman are the constants in this 13 years of incompetency. Both negotiations are nearly to the FUBAR point and this franchise is "the most troubled in the NFL" - Forbes characterization not mine. And with that, GOOD NIGHT NOW !
  16. Well Bud then go back and see if Wilson did that, he certainly didn't do it for the Oilers playoff game, and you'll find he didn't do that for the two games in question. That's all.
  17. What the ? is right. You are well aware that there is a blackout policy, a game has to be sold out to be televised - both games were televised ask your buddy Ross thus they sold out. Brandon implies there was the same level of difficulty selling games out in the nineties not true and as I've shown much more ticket inventory fort he season back the. the 2009 actually was sold out thus it was televised - TO's last game, large season ticket base (55k). if you think the NFL allowed the Bills to televise the 94 playoff game with 61k sold you're plain wrong. Beacon of Clarity
  18. That's great news -you'l be able to see all the December games this year !
  19. Well aware that they played Raiders twice, the second was played in in -15 wind chill, it was televised ergo all tickets were sold. 1999 season finale was played in year 2000, also televised - it was Rob Johnson's big game. Your confusing turnstile atendance with tickets sold. Beacon of clarity - JW
  20. See my reply, Son.
  21. Hmmm the raiders playoff game and 200 finale were both sellouts. The Raiders game ws played in Zero degrees thus the low turnstile atendance, both games were televised. Thus your sample is reduced to three games. Branon implies in his staement that there was the same level of difficulty in selling tickets in the nineties - just not true. I'll stick with Beacon of Clarity. Thank you. JW
  22. Sorry dude that dog don't hunt. Someone else posted the wikapedia about attendence in the late eighties thru late nineties, showed consistent attendance around 75k per game, despite the fact that they played 11-12 home games per year - remenber they went to the playoffs then. Thus they had an inventory of tickets of up to 960k per year versus the present low inventory of 585 k per year, not even a remote comparion. It's why this Rogers negotiation is so troublesome, if they bail he's got another 73k that he has to sell, his blackouts start in October. Brandon stammers a lot of half truths to extreme falsehoods and this one of the myths of hisd that I've busted ! No, for now I'll stick with Beacon of Clarity. That's all.
  23. OK call me a troll and negative and while you're at it refute my beacon of clarity points. That's all.
  24. Not a ray of sunshine but a beacon of clarity. I think everyone can agree that the off field issues are messed up, both of these negotiations have been going on forever and there's no resolution in sight. And lest I remind you the owner is NINETY-FOUR years old and has been seen in public once in the last year.
