Well those who complain about off-topic posts unfortunately seem to miss topics like this. Nice to see a coach getting "talked down from the ledge" by those who support what he did as good coaching.... Sorry I don't have much else more to add than that, but I've enjoyed this thread...

Yup, looks are everything, aren't they? -
Does it rotate?

What team is he playing on in the 2005 season?

Hey, Mark, remember this at the next game. "Hello, 911? Yeah, I'm at Ralph Wilson Stadium and they're refusing to sell me a fried bologna sandwich! I want you to come down here and arrest them!"

Maybe he should have watched more Disney movies as a kid: http://www.othercinema.com/otherzine/ozissue2/vd.html -
Actually, all they'd have to do is rip the "n" and "y" off, and work from there....

(Way OT) What do they do in Buffalo
Dan Gross replied to plenzmd1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, I guess I spoke from my own experience being one of the youngest in my class (October...started when I was 4). I managed to get bored enough academically to make me lazy later on (and in fact the grief I got was from being one of the "smart kids/nerds"), I can't imagine how bored I would have been had I been another year behind.... I guess what I'm echoing is the sentiment that you should monitor how your child is doing and base the decision on what you think is best for your child. The fact that you bothered to post this shows that you care enough to do what's right for your kids, which is the important thing. -
Remember that shots for every area have to be more or less planned based on position of satellite, cloud cover, etc....that was probably the last time the skies were completely clear over Buffalo.

I'm still confused about the $6.2M. Weren't we at ~$2M a month ago, and didn't we have a net gain of people?

What you are talking about is a year off of what the guidelines are in this area (East of Buffalo). Sounds like (as you mention) the private school is trying to get a leg-up athletically by getting "older" students. -
He's so dreamy.

Yeah, I figured his career was over after that "indecent exposure" incident a few years back.. -

Coming from someone who only dates blind guys...(though I don't understand why...) -
Geez, details, details. How many games has Losman started, yet now he's the #1 guy?

Don't you know that pork is allocated based on acreage rather than population? Don't make Darin start with the "size" comparisons again, as you know how much that ticks off VABills.... -
Sorry, you're right, it's all a blur. It doesn't matter, it was Bledsoe throwing the ball wrong anyway, so having JP in there will automatically fix it....right....?

I'm watchin NFL Europe, & I hear the name.........
Dan Gross replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't worry, I think the NFL Europe season will end in time for him to get back to the booth. He has been vocal about wanting a coaching job, and this is a good first step for him. I don't think we can count on him being in the booth for too long, but I'm guessing we should see him there for the next season, at least, considering that most college and pro coaching staffs are pretty well settled right now... Of course, Miami only has 20 coaches, they could still use a couple more... -
Let me put it another way: Josh was catching everything that came his way the first year. While it was clear that he was a possession type receiver rather than a speed demon, it appeared (to my feeble eyes at least) that the Bills offense was better with him on the field than off the field. Maybe "the man" was too strong, but there, in my eyes, was a marked difference between '03 and '04 in what we saw in Josh Reed. I'd want the '03 Josh Reed as at least my #3 receiver, and I think, with no other option when Moulds retires, could be the complement to Evans. The '04 Josh Reed can make sure my burger doesn't have pickles.

What happened to Shane Matthews?
Dan Gross replied to Dan Gross's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, you know he did have a 149.3 QB rating last season...I mean, come on, you should start the hot hand! -
I know there's a "fan club" here, so I'd like to ask of them (and of course the rest of you): Barring any unforeseen changes, we will likely see the three man rotation of Adams, Edwards and Anderson. Putting aside the question of whether that's fine for the starting line-up, do we honestly think that Sape can step in if/when one of these guys gets injured? He hasn't seen a lot of playing time, which kinda scares me...your thoughts, besides "he has a cool name and hey, he's Samoan!"...?

In thinking about the roster, just trying to figure out where else we might be able to boost it. Looks like we're potentially done in the standard free agency period, and we're also talking draft, but the other important date is June 1. It seems that the deeper we get into the salary cap era, the fewer "good bargains" become available June 1st, but what have people been hearing? Who on the current roster might be let go on June 1st? Who might be available that would fit the Bills' positions of need?

Evans looks like "the Man," but of course Josh Reed did his first year too. Can Evans beat the Sophmore jinx, and can Reed get past the "dropsies?" Or was it that Drew was throwing the ball wrong, causing Reed to drop it? And of course, what about Moulds? I had good hopes for him last year, as it was an even year, and we all know that Moulds only plays well on the even years....Has he not recovered from the injury in '03? Will he ever recover? And I can't believe I am saying this, but rudy's question was a good one, is this his last year in a Bills uniform? I had always heard that TD was vehemently against restructures, but yet he did it with Moulds and only bought us a year of keeping Moulds at a reasonable cap hit... Behind those three, what do we really have? Can Fast Freddie make it as a receiver, or will he just be a return man? Will Aiken step up as the #3 if Josh shows that maybe it wasn't Drew that was the problem? And "the rest..." anyone see NFL Europe assignee LaDaris Vann in the CFL or AFL or at the U of Cincinnati? And George Wilson? Is this an area we need to address in the draft? Do we need to be looking for our Moulds replacement now?

Last I heard he was considering retiring, but I haven't heard anything since. Anybody else hear anything? He's listed on the roster as an "unsigned player."
