All in all a nice situation to be in. Maybe one of their proven forwards can be moved for younger blood late in the season. Sabres are going to be pretty decent this year I believe. They didn't lose a lot in the off season and I have always liked Miller in net. Nice solid leader in Rivet on defense. I wish the Sharks could have kept him as depth on their blue line is a question.

I experienced an emotional disconnect with this team a couple seasons ago. Realized this when it just didn't hurt anymore when they lost. It really is hard to get behind a team when you know management either incompetent or just indifferent. It's obvious to me that Ralph has no pride or dignity. If he did he would be more aggressive getting good management to organize his company. It's just hopeless with him in charge. Only good hire he ever did was Chuck Knox. I think he kinda lucked out with Levy. Even he had a losing record when he got hired! This season I called DTV fully intending to cancel Sunday Ticket. If they didn't give me $150 off and SuperFan for free I certainly would have cancelled. Hockey season started when I saw the same ole same ole vs the Saints. Reinforced with that mess Sunday. I'll back the Sharks because at least thier management tries. Sure they have had playoff disappointments but they never stop hiring FA's or making staff changes to TRY to make them better. When a organization does that they at least are in the game. Bills couldn't be farther out of the game.

Good news for the Sabres. If he ends up being half the player Pronger is, Sabre fans will be more than happy with him. Another player you guys got that was also on Team Canada Jr champ team is Tyler Innis. Should be another quality guy in the near future

Judging from the few games Ive seen him play in jr's, I think he is Chara/Pronger capable. Not sure if he is as nasty as Pronger though. If he can get to that edge to him he is superstar material. imho

Are you talking about those games they did with HD cameras at ice level? They have done a few games like that with no announcers and only crowd noise. During breaks they would give you some color commentary and some behind the scene pieces in between periods. I think they have only done those games at the Duck pond and the Staple Center. I really enjoyed those games.

Thats about the time we got Chuck Knox isn't it? We really could use a proven, stable, competent coach like that again. I remember when he came here he really seemed to bring a level of professionalism to the team. Yes he was conservative but at least they had a direction. And because they ran the ball a lot when they did run something different like a TE screen or something, it really worked well.

I just can't take this team seriously anymore. Emotional disconnect was last season and my Sundays are more pleasant because of it. What really is disconcerting is that Ralph won't fire Dick. He will blame a brand new offensive line and too many injuries on D.

Homgren is a coach with a history of winning. Hard to imagine Ralph hiring him when he could have a proven loser like Dick for much cheaper

I actually didn't see the goal your talking about. I thought the OT goal was unfortunate though. Sabres are going to be ok based on what I saw tonight. Good experienced/skilled/decent speed forwards. Rivet schooling Myers on D will only improve as the season progresses. Goal tending is grade A. Sabres make the playoffs np

At our Safeway, there are always some sort of organization asking for money when you leave. Outside at both exits. I don't mind once in a while but now its just annoying. I used to feel bad walking by them now I have no problem ignoring them. I have no problem giving once in a while but enough is enough. Now I resent them.

Not a qb but they also made Cadillac Williams look like Barry Sanders in one of his first games. We have a knack of being kinda the Washington Federals(is that the team the Globetrotters always play?) of the NFL. We are only a nameless opponent that some budding rookie comes of age against. Hard to say for sure if it is going to happen with Henne, but I wouldn't be shocked in the least. Id say this may be the best shot Henne has of having a good game.
