So you would walk knowing half the information?
I wonder what the prayer says? Can't really determine things until they state what has been said... I guess I have to reserve judgment... I guess he can always go to a Catholic school with out a problem?
I wonder if they will realease that information?
-
He made is money in the payroll cashing business right?
Great, just what we need... A master of the "float" in the GOP camp.
Should fit in well.
-
If he single-handledly lost the game, maybe... But we were a Josh Reed holding penalty away from scoring a TD, then Lindell missed the kick, then the defense didn't show up... And the game unraveled from there.
I'm not sure I really believe the coin-toss thing personally; if it were true, I would've expected to see a lot of people talking about it, besides our favorite coffee-drinking reporter.
Regardless, it did work out for him. And it could work out for others and the league wouldn't be able to stop it, assuming the player wanted to risk it.

That is what I was thinking all along. That is why I am against the salary system/free agent system that is in place.
Look at what TO did to Baltimore.
Teams are gonna get a bad rap and nobody will want to go there. There will still be parity. But, mark my words... The good teams will stay good and the bad will stay bad. The bad will just hover in mediocrity.
Cincy is breaking out of that mold because of the wholesale attitude adjustment made by their management and coach. Got to hand it to them.
Just my $.02... The old way of doing business favors an old-school owner like RW.
The Bills would have competeted just fine.

What is OLN?... Is that Outdoor Living Network? TSN is Total Sports Network?
I noticed that the game was listed and couldn't believe it was on that channel... So I didn't even bother switching the baseball game off.
-
You are right.
Then there was the coin toss thingy... What if DB planted that himself to get the heck out of this hell-hole?
-
I just thought about it... Not that it did happen in the DB case.
How would the NFL handle collusion. That being a player that plays badly because he wants to end up on another team... Therefore tanking his value.
It has been speculated that Bill Parcells wanted DB all along and would take him back... The cry out of both DB and BP camps was always no, no, no.
They had to be talking?
Then wham-o. They hook-up.
BP does seem like this kinda guy... Look at the whole Pats-Jets-BB fiasco.
Just your run-of-the-mill conspiracy theory, I return you back to your regularly scheduled program.

Geez Marie! How in the heck am I gonna drift to the PPP and Baseball Forum with raging topics like this!

You do realize that posts such as this are proving the point that Fezmid makes above so well?
People are raising the bar higher each and every time the guy takes the field. Now, let's call him out because he didn't beat the superbowl champions. The thing is, he did so once, and doesn't play them this season.
When does this get ridiculous, I mean really?
One point that I WILL readily concede to the haters.....Drew would have been murdered behind our shabby, sub-par line, even with McNally!
Hopefully, our current qbs won't get hurt behind this moley crew, but stranger things have happened.
You are right Bill!
I could never make your team... The minuscule hate that oozes out of me at times wouldn't cut it. I'd post ARod crunch-time numbers.

Why do some want to see him fail ?
He kept his mouth shut and showed class the whole time he was in Buffalo. He could have easily bitched to the media in regards to his s-t o-line and game plans he was given. He should have been brought back for one more season but wasn't. And he still hasn't blasted the Bills organization like he very well could have after he left.
although I hate the Cowboys I do wish Drew luck.
I agree.
Because it is my mean and vindictive side. I am still loyal to the Bills first and the Bills let him go.
I know it isn't right... Maybe more wins like the one against Philly will show me the errors of my ways.
I just don't want Buffalo to look stupid... Too bad that is an easy thing to do and they usually handle that on their own.
Is that frank enough for you?

Actually, an alcoholic is probably more likely to kill somebody... It is this kind of thinking that makes light of the situation and ends up with the problem drinker behind the wheel going unnoticed.
The numbers speak for themself... Especially on the water. Everyday people are being killed.
Thurman Thomas, Bruce Smith just happened to be lucky.
Who was the dude the Bills picked up from Detroit in the late 80's (Reggie Rogers?)that wiped out the kids?...

The progression around here is hilarious.
1) We cut Bledsoe, fans cry out, "Bledsoe is washed up! He should retire!"
2) Bledsoe plays poorly in the first preseason game, fans cry out, "See, we were right!!!! Bledsoe is washed up!"
3) Bledsoe has a bad first series against the Chargers in week 1. Fans cry out, "See, we were right! Bledsoe is washed up!"
4) Bledsoe bounces back from bad first series to defeat the Chargers. Fans cry out, "Bledsoe doesn't play for the Bills anymore! Why are you guys praising his play?!" followed by, "The Redskins will expose Bledsoe to the entire league! He'll be sacked 150 times!"
5) Bledsoe is not sacked against the Redskins, not even once. Fans cry out, "But look, he lost! He can't win against a real team!"
6) Bledsoe leads a late drive to win the game, but his pass falls short. Fans cry out, "See, we were right, Bledsoe sucks!" while at the same time saying, "It's ok that JPL throws the ball like that, he's going to the Hall of Fame!" Fans followup with, "Wait until the Eagles game, Bledsoe will be lucky to live through it!"
7) Bledsoe destroys Philadelphia, and isn't sacked at all. Fans cry out, "He always plays well at the start of the season when he's on a new team! He'll soon suck again because he never plays well late in the season!" Those fans apparantly forgot the 9-3 record at the end of last season....
It's pretty humorous, considering the non-bashers are simply saying, "Look, Bledsoe wasn't the problem here last year. He's still got plenty of gas in the tank." Comments like that always seem to bring out sexual attacks though. Maybe Bledsoe-bashers are all gay? (not that there's anything wrong with that...)
CW
There is no doubt that DB has gas in his tank.
I still like him and believe he can get past the wall. It just wasn't going to happen in NE and Buffalo anytime soon.
To me, the Washington game showed where that wall is. The Philly game, IMO, showed how much the Philly braintrust took DB lightly. You still can't take him lightly and that is the most important thing he brings to the table.
As much as I hated to see him go... There was no reason to keep him tied down in the Buffalo environment where he was destined to die on the vine.
I really hopes he makes it... Not to prove anybody here wrong... Not to prove anybody here right... Just want to see a good man succeed in a climate that is favorable to him.
My mean and vindicative side likes to see him fail because I am so loyal to the Bills. That I can't hide at times and it isn't right.

Give me a break.
Don't you guys remember his first 8 games as a Buffalo Bill?
He was being brought up as an MVP canidate, and was passing very effieciently, and was lighting up the scoreboard for us.....Until the Patriots exposed him completely.
I like the guy, but he won't continue to play at this high of level, he'll come around sooner or later.
What you are seeing right now is just a mirage.
Gurantee the cowboys go no where this year.
Exposed him?
Maybe the Pats exposed the Bills OL/ coaching/ play calling?
I think this is more a product of Bill Parcells being his own man.
We will see.

In a sick way... The privacy and anonymity so many stars seek has been achieved.

Force people to conserve... Go socialist on their arses. We need to win the war on terror?
So during WWII we all did it on our "own?"
I wonder what would have happened if we had a conservative in office during the 1940's?
We surely would have been pushing and pulling the cart.
Hmmmmmm?
-
He is not connecting... If terror is such a problem and needs to be wiped out, we should be throttling our economy back like we did during WWII. Put it into full military mode. A town like Buffalo would soar again!
He is sending us mixed messages.
Telling us to shop till we drop... Yet, conserve?
??

Does that mean at work I can't leave my tractor idling during lunch? Can't wait till wintertime comes and they pitch a fit that our compressors at work (to keep the bubblers going) are running too long... I am just gonna let the gates freeze in.
All the hot air coming out of the administration should be enough to keep us from springing for a new set of glow plugs.
Didn't Jimmy Carter get roasted for telling us to conserve?

What about Shaw?... He was rookie of the year. Where was he a few years later?

If you are in the city... I did a search for Delilah's... The link is here:
Lincoln Station is here:
Both are on N. Lincoln.
I am on the Nothwest Indiana border... Though.

Must be the Cubs fans?
I know several die hard Sox fans that rooted against the Cubs during their last playoff fling.
It is a one way street in this town.
Sox fans want no part of the Cubs fans... Would you?
If there was ever a EL Series... There would be "blood on the streets in the town of Chicago."
Yuppie Cubs fans v. Blue collar Sox fans.
It has really polarized me... Being an outsider, Sox have more in common with towns like Buffalo, Cleveland, or Pittsburgh.
Cubs=Red Sox.
I always knew and always fooled myself that Chicago should be lucky to have two teams... I was wrong.
What part of Chicago are you in... Gee, I hope it isn't the North Side...

Flaws and all we should be thankful for Ralph. He kept the team in Buffalo when he's had the opportunity to move if he chose. He didn't hold a gun to NY State for a brand new stadium and instead renovated Rich Stadium. For those of you who don't think that's such a big deal, the majority of nfl owners would have issued a new stadium or I'm moving ultimatum and we wouldn't be watching the Bills right now.
Finally, I get sick to my stomach seeing rich boy a$$clowns like Bob Kraft, Jerry Jones, Daniel Snyder, et al on the sidelines and in the news. These are not good people.
Those owners you mentioned have half the integrity RW has.
Buffalo's debt load is low.
Even in the pre-cap days... Buffalo had no problem competing.
-
It is a double-edge sword when it comes to RW and the Bills.
As much as he has been a cheapskate through the years... His fiscal conservatism has very much kept an NFL franchise in Buffalo.
Yes... Only Marv really had his ear and pushed the Bills to consistent winning seasons.
Any other type of owner in Buffalo through the years would have abandoned the city.
RW with all his shortcomings bascially ensured Buffalo will keep a NFL franchise.
And that I thank him for...
When the Buffalos of the league go... Try getting a seat in another stadium.

That is okay... Just being groomed for the "snitch world/society" we live in.
I wonder if the US offers aid to any country that helps turn in terror?
