  1. None of the above. Derrick Morgan, Sergio Kindle, Brandon Graham, or Dan Williams are all likelier choices. My preference would be: 1. Derrick Morgan or Brandon Graham 2. trade to Baltimore for Jared Gaither 3. Cam Thomas or Linval Joseph
  2. Maybin is at OLB, where he should've been all along. See last year.
  3. I'm beginning to think we won't get our LT at #9 anymore. Seems Trent Williams and Anthony Davis are serious character concerns, and the other 2 of the top 4 will probably be gone. If Bulaga is there, then great, I have no problem with him. But I'd steer clear of top 10 money for Davis and Williams.
  4. I am continually amazed at the level some people go to to criticize others. Do they really need that to make themselves feel better?
  5. I do not scan other threads first before posting. I will not repeat myself. I do not scan other threads first before posting. I will not repeat myself. There are too many other insightful threads to waste my time on this.
  6. I'm guaranteeing he doesn't sign an extension with Buffalo. Listening to Mayock on NFLN tonight, who is very familiar with the situation, only confirmed it for me. He won't go to a rebuilding situation, with no OL and no WR's. Come back and rub it in my face if he does, but I won't be holding my breath. And I'm one of those guys saying if they do make the trade it must be contingent on an extension. See the catch 22? McNabb does have options and controls his destiny. Rather than finishing his career getting smeared behind the OL in Buffalo he will just play out his contract and find a better suitor who will pay him just as much.
  7. If the Bills are dumb enough to make this trade without an extension, he will be a one year rental player. McNabb will not sign an extension with Buffalo to make a trade feasible.
  8. 1.So we'll franchise a 34 year old guy who already doesn't want to be here and pay him $15M+ for it? 2. He would not sign an extension if the Bills made a lucrative offer. McNabb will not go to a rebuilding situation at this stage of his career, with our OL and WR's. You either consummate the extension before the trade, or don't do it. McNabb knows this and has the leverage, and simply won't do it. He'll play out his contract and seek the big money next year, and with more control over his destination. Exactly.
  9. You underestimate the value of a high 2nd round draft pick. And he would only be here for 1 year - McNabb is in charge here, and he will not be signing an extension to play in Buffalo.
  10. Luckily Buddy is running this team, and he has no such visions. Spiller at #9 and Tebow with our 2nd rounder?!
  11. No way; and only if he signs an extension, which he won't do in Buffalo.
  12. Yeah, ignore the elephant in the room AGAIN. BTW, that means address the trenches, early and often
  13. All I needed to read. What's the problem? This guy did us a favor by typing this all in. I'll be buying the PFW book once it hits the stands, but I for one appreciate the sneak preview.
  14. Same here. I've been away from Buffalo for awhile now, but started a family tradition of visiting for the home opener every season, which has been going strong ever since I left. The Bills bring my family and friends together, much moreso than if we didn't share this common bond. In some cases, I still see friends who grew up on my block or went to high school with that I probably wouldn't ever see otherwise.
  15. I fear the OLB position for 2010 will be akin to what happened for the OL in 2009. They had an asinine plan in the first place, after getting rid of Peters, to switch Walker over to LT, then cut him before the season. And moving Butler out, before the injury of course, wasn't a great move either, and the injury only exacerbated that decision. They did at least invest wisely on the interior. If they proceed with the current plan at OLB and again choose not to address the position in the draft like they ignored the Tackle position last year (hello, Oher), it will probably play out similarly at OLB this season. I have about 0% confidence that Maybin, Kelsay, Schobel (if he even returns) or Ellis is equipped to make the transition. And they really have nothing else behind that, other than maybe moving some inside guys out. That makes this a high priority in April. C'mon Buddy, I know you're smarter than last years crew. At least build that D up with a NT and OLB. Sprinkle in a LT. Do this with our first 3 picks. We'll probably have to make due with what's on the roster at QB, but add your scatback and throw in a WR, and we can be well on the road to recovery if you can truly pick out "football" players as well as we think you can.
  16. If the Bills draft him anywhere before the 3rd, we'll be called suckers. Anyone else takes him in the 1st or 2nd, they'll be geniuses. Gotta love ESPN.
  17. Wow, I had no idea. I remember when we drafted him in the 3rd round, he was supposedly rated as a first round talent, but he slipped (was it due to injury?) Also, didn't he have like a modeling gig off the field and Fabio hair? I seem to remember the ladies of TBD taking a liking to him. Anyways, I enjoyed his play in Buffalo. Wish him the best.

  19. Doesn't this belong over in the all Tebow, all the time thread? Jesus.
