  1. Peterman > Anderson? I mean, the offense did double the scoring output that they averaged behind Anderson in the previous two games.
  2. I don’t know how to explain Peterman. I liked him out of Pitt. Looked good in the preseason of 2017. Anyone who watched practices and preseason games will tell you that he bested McCarron rather handily. He’s bad in games. I don’t think that should be counted against McDermott twice. And I wouldn’t call him McD’s pet considering if it weren’t for Allen’s injury he would have been off the roster weeks ago.
  3. We’re barely though the first half of Year #1 in this offense. With three quarterbacks - two of which have no business being in the league, the other an extremely raw rookie. Stats!
  4. Allen was the biggest gunslinger and risk taker in college football. Your theory couldn’t be more abundantly off the mark. And this is where the “McDermott is too conservative for 2018!” argument goes off the rails. Tyrod is a conservative coach’s dream: never attempts a throw that may result in a turnover. If McDermott were as backwards and conservative as many here claim, he would have NEVER let Tyrod go.
  5. Normal person: That was an error and a big red mark on your record. If you repeat the same mistake it may be a fireable offense depending on the rest of your evaluation. Bills fan: FIREFIREFIREFIREFIREFIREFIREFIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. The NFL is about playing to whatever your strengths are and finding ways to win. Not everyone has Brees or Brady or Rivers at QB, not everyone has the offensive weapons that Andy Reid and Sean McVay have the luxury to work with.
  7. Calling for the Bills head coach’s head is one of Bills fans’ and local Western NY media’s favorite pastimes.
  8. Regardless, they still won 9 games with a roster that many thought would result in the #1 overall pick before the season began.
  9. Not happening. Daboll willingly left the greatest team in college football history to come home and oversee the offense - which included developing the new franchise QB. There’s no way they drop him after one year barring getting arrested for a sexual/violent felony.
  10. Id be more concerned if McDumba— er, I mean McDermott’s background was offense. But he’s a defensive guy. And the defense has been good. Under Marrone (offense background) our offense stunk so that really concerned me. Under Rex (defense) our defense stunk so again, that concerned me. At least our team’s strength matches up with the HC’s background. As for the offense, I like that McDermott was willing to make a change at OC after one season. I like Daboll and think he can improve the offense over time.
  11. High standards are great. But in the real world they should be accompanied by context, logic, and reason.
  12. There won’t be any coaching changes after this season so save your breaths. The Franchise hasn’t even played these last three games so it’s hilarious to me how angry so many are. These games are meaningless at this point. Once we saw McCarron look worse than Peterman in the preseason and then traded, we should have all seen the writing on the wall: the offense was going to be atrocious. The only hope this team had of contending for a playoff spot in 2018 was for McCarron (or Peterman) to at least be as good as Taylor was last season. Maybe Beane gave up on McCarron too early and should’ve given him two or three starts at least before getting rid of him. Then again, they never would’ve received a 5th round pick at that point. And would McCarron suddenly have become good if given a start or two? I doubt it. No one expected the O to be this historically awful but what difference does it make? Bad is bad. You can cry all you want about how terrible the offense is but in the end, this is all about Josh Allen. He’s all that matters. Allen will come back after the bye and get some experience in a terrible offense. Beane will upgrade the offensive personnel during the off-season and we will see if Allen improves. If he doesn’t then McDermott and Beane will both be on a pretty hot seat. If we reach the end of the 2020 season and Allen stinks, then kiss these guys goodbye. As for right now, anyone calling for a GM or coaching change needs a grip on reality.
  13. Many of the same impatient screamy-meemies who are calling for Beane’s and McDermott’s heads now.
  14. It’s not about expectations - it’s about having the proper amount of information to evaluate. That being said, things could get better than averaging 6 points per game simply because Allen is vastly superior in pure talent to anything else they have put under center these last three games.
  15. But TBD told me that Allen was the problem.
  16. It seems only fair that we hold off on the “How has McDermott earned another year to try and fix the offense?“ type questions until the season is over. Believe it or not, the offense could show some signs of life between now and Week 17 once Allen returns.
  17. If Allen doesn’t work out then nothing else matters. McDermott and Beane will be gone. Everyone knows this.
  18. You really think the two rosters - specifically the quarterback position - are comparable?
  19. Beane answers to Terry and Kim. Not McDermott.
  20. For the record, Darby was traded for Matthews AND Harrison Phillips. Personally, I’d rather have four years of Phillips than two years of Darby.
  21. All of the dead cap from the Whaley regime is gone after this year. Do you consider that a coincidence?
  22. pop gun literally said “IMO the Pegulas were misled and lied to from these two clowns”.
  23. Beane told the Pegulas the obvious truth: that the cap situation is a mess thanks to backloaded instant gratification contracts and if we’re going to build this right and set the team up for long-term success we’re going to have to dump players with the worst contracts which may result in some pain in the short-term. Or maybe you’re right - he’s working for the Jets and is trying to destroy the team from within. Mwuhahahahaha!
  24. Lied to? Are McDermott and Beane actually working for the Jets or Dolphins? And have penetrated the Bills front office for the sole purpose of destroying the team? Mwuhahahaha? Good Lord, folks.
  25. Right. Which was expected. Not sure where people are having difficulty following.
