  1. I think this team can consistently put up 28-31 points a game. TT is going to have a great year, provided he stays healthy, and McCoy looks lean, fast, and hungry.

Watkins is only going to be better, after finally arriving the last few weeks last season, and I think Robert Woods will also be a big contributor.

Tell me if I'm crazy, but I see plenty of excitement this season.

  2. Thread is useless without Solomon Wilcots being at the bottom of the list.

I have to agree. Wilcotts is painful to listen to. Ever notice he substitutes a "T" wherever a "D" needs to go? This may seem a bit trivial to some, but how do you get a job broadcasting at this level, and your use of the language is this poor?

  3. I haven't been able to understand why all the experts refer to Cardale as "raw," or a "project." The kid had played at an extremely high level at one of the most successful D 1 programs in the country.

He has all the intangibles, as Bocephuz stated above.

I thought he looked real good, albeit against a 3rd string defense. But you can't coach that size, power, arm strength, and desire he exuberated Saturday night. E.J. might be watching from the 3rd slot before seasons end.

  4. Great guests for the first show, wish it was Sal's show thou

I will second that. Sal, in my opinion, is far and away better to listen to than anyone else on GR anymore. He has a great knowledge of what he's talking about, and his voice is clear and precise.

Some of their reporters voices are just grating to me.

  5. Fitz showed what he is, and has always been, the last game of the season against the Bills. Our D was mediocre all season, but forced him into several poor decisions, and he imploded, like he usually did.

He has been with how many teams now, doesn't it make you wonder why he never hangs around very long?

He is average at best. I didn't like him when we signed him, and couldn't wait to get him out of here.

  6. I miss Don Criqui and also miss Dick Enberg.

I would punch Phil Simms in the face if ever given the chance. Ever notice he doesn't "him," he says "eme,", which drives me nuts!

Piss poor english from a guy doing national broadcasts, plus I think he beats off to a poster of Tom Brady!

  7. This is the reason that Whaley and Nix never drafted a QB early until EJ. They don't want to "reach" for players just because they have a need at that position, but you have to realize that you almost always "reach" for QBs because they are so in demand. Whaley needs to take Bill Polian's advice when he said that no pick is too early to take a QB if you think that he might be a legitimate NFL starter.

Unless the Bills still believe in EJ as a legitimate NFL QB they need to take a QB somewhere in the first 3 rounds. QB is the most important position on the team and backup QB is the second most important, especially with a guy like Tyron and his injury risk.

There can't be any possible way they see anything in E.J. moving forward, is there? I held out hope for him, but saw all I needed to see against Jacksonville. Cut him and move on, and find someone else.

As for Cook, I think his draft stock fell dramatically the last few games. I loved him going into the season, but now, not so much.

  8. I wonder how many other Head Coaches report to the owner.....not to many I am guessing. (maybe Bellicheck) Reason we have it....a light weight GM....Rex (and many other coaching candidates) would not agree to report to Whaley. I think the whole thing either needs to be blown up at the top....and bring in a football guy to run it....or, take a chance and see if Whaley can grow up fast and hire his own coach. I think the Pegs bought Rex line of BS....great interview, meh coach.

I think BigK is spot on here. A competent GM, a competent coach, and find a big time quarterback for the first time in 20 years! This whole thing is just so redundant, I can't even stand to watch anymore. Same old story for 20 years now, and enough is enough!

  9. They hold cities ransom for new stadiums then have games outside of America

That is such a great point, JR1. I wish the players union would put their foot down, and tell the league enough is enough.

Something dreadful is going to happen one of these times, be it a bombed stadium, a shot down plane, or some other horrific terrorist act, and then where will the league be?

I hate that greedy C%^k S$#@er commissioner worse than anything, and while the owners approve, all this bull **** that has happened to the only sport I have left to enjoy has came under his watch!

This screws the fans, the fanbase and local businesses the support and depend on home games, and Assface Goodell and the owners couldn't care less! I watched some great college games last evening, and may just start to concentrate on that, and tell Goodell and the NFL to kiss my ass.

  10. I saw a story about Welker this morning online, and wondered the same thing. He surely wouldn't hurt the team any, and I think could help a young QB like Taylor.

I don't see any negatives to this, as long as his salary wasn't real high. He might add some sort of spark, from a guy that has been a t the top multiple times.

  11. Whatever, WEO, keep kissing his ass while the league continues to regress. I swear you went to elementary school with him in Jamestown, as you're the only fan I know that defends him!

If I'm so off base with my opinion, why has there been so much call to remove him? From fans, to players, to major media that covers the game, and some owners, although the latter is hard to get out in the open, as they "defend the shield."

The most important part of the game, the players, can't stand him, and neither can most of the fans, other than yourself.

He is taking the game the same direction that NASCAR went, all corporate, all about growning revenue, and forgetting what its all about, the game (or race).

Tune in a race now, the stands are half empty at most events, all because Brian France had the idea to "run more races," take the sport out of the country, and so on.

  12. I agree with Johnny Gold, and stated as much last season, only to have Mr. WEO jump up and defend the lying, dishonest, game ruining hypocrite called a commissioner.

If he is doing such a bang up job, why is the one the field game suffering, just as was stated above? And why, rather it be the draft, HOF ceremony, or any time Goodell is in front of the fans, is he booed uncontrobably?

Say what you want, but the quality of the game is slipping away at a rapid rate, and all under Goodell's watch.

He has made a mockery of the league with this whole Patriot fiasco, and should have been run out after the Ray Rice mess, that he handled with such high integrity.

My interest in the game, and the league, took a huge hit today, and I have been a loyal fan for 40 years.

But don't you have to wonder how the Bills (or any team) can charge right down the field and score, show the defensive muscle they are supposed to have on their first series, only to have the offense look like like a Jr. high team, and the defense look like the 0-16 Detroit Lions on the next several possessions?

I am at a loss tonight, as all I ever did was love football since I was little, and as of now, don't care if I turn it on again.

And my feelings, like several other long time fans, is a problem for good ole Roger and his 44 million salary.

He's an a$$hole, and that is a popular opinion.

  13. Not writing off the season but the optimism entering the season is gone. The loss is not the reason it is the sloppy and undisciplined play. Penalties drain the life out of the team. Offensive line is a mixed bag. Frustrations will build. Bills will have to regroup and focus on next week. Taylor is not the answer and needs to sit.

I just wrote it off, and am done putting any effort or emotion into watching this joke of a team! Tell me ONE thing, ONE, that is any different than anything we've seen for the last 19 years? Buttalo, and Bills fans are today, the laughing stock of the country! all this national hype, "maybe greatest defense ever bull ****, are you even remotely serious?! Oh boy, we beat a team last week that has about two good players on either side of the ball, go buy your Super Bowl tickets....

They can't even stay on the field with those assclowns, yet we are supposed to be excited and get ready for the playoffs?

    Not me, not anymore...............
