  1. Makes plays and refs do not matter, I would say the late hit out of bounds on Hogan was the worst no call of the day.The second defender has his whole body out of bounds and continues to attack Hogan.

I agree totally, should have been a late hit call without a doubt. The only other call I think sucked was the "pushoff" on Chandler. I was pissed on the Henderson false start, but upon watching replay, believe it was the right call. Undisciplined on his part, that's all you can say
  2. What hate mail? And if I don't know boo, what does that say about you? If you think his performance is worthy of the 11th pick, and DON'T see him consistently getting beat and playing chase, then you know less "boo" than I do! As for him being the best corner the last two years, compared to what? I love this team and want them to be better, not be satisfied with subpar play, that we have had for several years at corner, regardless what an expert like you may perceive.

Check out the tape of the Pats last TD, and see him running like his ass is on fire to catch up, and tell me how good he is!

  3. What are the chances we will see some changes on the offensive line before the Jets game? I don't know how the horrendous guard play can be ignored moving forward.

We are finally getting some solid QB play, and would be a shame to see Orton knocked out of the lineup because we have a pair of tackling dummies at the interior line spots.

  4. he's terrible, doesn't matter how many picks he had yesterday. 1 was a freebie on a tipped ball anyhow. he was probably out of position which put him in the right place at the right time. someone check the all-22

He is terrible, I don't care how many picks he has. If there was a stat for missed tackles, getting burned regularly, and failure to at least bat down a ball, he would be leading those categories as well.
  5. I hate trading up in the draft. I probably would have just stayed there and hoped Evans fell or picked Ebron. That said, yesterday, he showed he was a special talent. That pass from Orton had pick 6 all over it and he made an unbelievable catch to help us win a game.

It's such a risky trade but he can be one of the best wrs in the NFL.

I don't get the Bradford love. What has he really proven so far? He also has struggled with injuries since college. Way too risky for the amount he will cost IMO.

Please don't make a play for Bradford, he has shown little if anything, and cant' stay healthy
  6. I love the fact that our new owner has a higher net worth than Jerry. Suck on that . . .

If that is true, I LOVE IT! Jones is nothing more than an arrogant, self promoting douche, who cares about nothing unless theres something in it for him.

Pegula shows how genuine he is as a person when he choked up at the podium. That said volumes to me.

  7. for months before the 2013 draft i pumped up Mike Glennon as being the best QB in that draft. I wanted him as a Bill. People here laughed. all he does is stand in there and make plays when needed. Rarely does he lose them a game. now we are stuck with EJ and once again i hate being right. ugh. We got maybe the wrost QB of the past 2 drafts. I think even Geno with all his flaws has more potential. This dude here could throw 50 times and still not rack up 300 yds in a game.

I'm right there with ya, I was preaching for Glennon, too, and nobody wanted to hear it. Another wasted #1 pick by good ole Buddy Nix! NEVER should have used a first round pick on Manuel, he likely would have been there in the second or third round.
  8. I have been preaching this the passed two seasons. Leodis is simply terrible. Yes, he had 13 tackles against the Bears, but 12 of them were after the guy he was covering made a catch and he finally makes the tackle. He plays chase every game, and gets lit up every game.

As for Gilmore, he has shown nothing to warrant the high pick that was used on him, another one of Buddy's great choices. Nix and his scouting department did nothing to improve this team.

  9. We haven't been good in 15 years, and what is the one constant through this period of time? Russ Brandon! I don't see where he has done any good for the franchise, and has had a hand in some of the worst hires in team history, notably Marv and Nix as GM's, a position that neither one was even close to being qualified for.

If this team is to move forward, they need to do it with a 100% fresh start, not more of the same inept management that is directly responsible for a decade and a half of ineptness. None of these guys has been able to see how poorly we have been at quarterback through this time span, doesn't that say enough?

  10. If you're not from the southern tier, you may not be very familiar with Chuck Pollock's work, but he is as good as anyone anywhere in the print media.

I have been reading Mr. Pollocks work since 1974, and will be lost when he steps away from covering the Bills. Check out his articles on oleantimesherald.com. Always has an insightful gameday piece, a detailed post game story, as well as a gameday notebook. He also covers media day, and usually has a Bills column on Thursday.

I like to listen to Shredd and Reagen when they talk Bills. I would love to see a new station challenge WGR for sports talk, or see GR make some much needed and overdue changes, notably with new afternoon talent, and the Howard Simon show could use a new spin, also. I miss Bob Gaughan and "The Coach!"

  11. Anyone else growing to really like him?

If I'm WGR management, I fire Schoop and the Bulldog and replace him with Sal and a former player---like a Darryl Talley---for the 3 pm show. I know what you're saying--but they'd need a hockey guy for hockey season. I haven't heard one on at 3 in a long time so what does it matter. I get my fill from the morning crew.

Anyway, as someone mentioned today here, Schoop is an absolute joke. You can trash certain things our local teams do (actually for him its never the Sabres--at least nowhere near as hard as he does the Bills). But he trashes them just to trash them. There is no insight, there is just EJ EJ EJ EJ. Remember when he used to go by the whole "sports talk for smart people" crap. Back when he endorsed Rob Johnson over Doug Flutie. The WNSA days.

Today the moron started his show wanting to talk about the USC player who lied about saving his nephew or something....and Schoop turned into a TEN MINUTE monologue about how when he was in 3rd grade he told this crazy lie to his teacher. End take. That was it. And I'm so sick of his "I need something interesting to talk about" crap. Find something idiot! There's a ton to discuss that matters to us fans. Don't troll us for callers. I'm so freaking done listening to this clown.

Back to Sal...really appreciating his work on the radio. He brings good balance and insight. Puts things in context and perspective--criticizes what needs to be criticized. But he manages to do it in a way that doesn't make you walk away hating life. Like Schoop seems intent on doing.

I think Sal is great with the callers to. My one criticism of him would be to talk slower---but I'm assuming he's Italian, he's from NY, maybe Catholic, so the fast talking would make sense. I envision him using his hands a ton.

So kudos to you Sal..I think you're doing fantastic and I'd put you on that 3 o clock show in a second.

Hope the WGR higher ups realize it.

I agree 1000% with every word of this post! I think Sal is the best local football analyst since Chris Brown was on GR years ago! With all the anti Schopp stuff I read here as well as on their site, why don't they take notice that people hate the douchebag? I refuse to listen to his show, period. I miss the Bills talk, especially post game, but refuse to support someone that is such an arrogant assclown!

  12. Laugh at Tebow all you want, but when was the last time we had a better 'QB than he is? He's better than all 3 that we have, and with the training and coaching he received in the last year, might come in and do well. We have a big, physical line, and what can be a dominant running game, so how much pressure would be on him? Additionally, he proved the year he started in Denver that he was money down the stretch, winning multiple games in the waining seconds, and made one hell of a throw to win a playoff game.

I'd give him a tryout tomorrow, and hope somehow it happens.

  13. I wish another station would go with a sports oriented format. I think it would bury WGR. I for years listened to GR almost all day, but now mostly only listen to Rome, and a little bit in the morning, but Howard and Jeremy get old real quick.

I refuse to listen to Schopp. That arrogant A-hole has no listening value whatsoever! I miss the old days and "The Coach!"
