1. As long as you continue to...ahem...tuck her in properly, you can watch all the ball you want!

And as far as you not working for the NFL, as far as I'm concerned if you said it, it happened. So get the hell away from the computer and grab your clicker (not that one) so I can read your report tomorrow!

Thanks Simon, you know I feel the same about your posts and insite and just the same, everyone knows that you're one of the most knowledgeable fans on this entire board. ;)

    ....must .......shutdown......PC.........!!!! ....... Got to........ grab. ..........clicker!!! ...... :(

  2. Our defense couldn't stop a leaky faucet early in the game AGAIN.  I don't understand their slow starts to games.  Hopefully just a preseason thing.

Just go back to last years posts at this same time about the running game. There were hundreds that sounded just like yours. Then comes the regular season and we stuff the run like it's going out of style.

  3. lol swamie... I have watched all the games , yes. I wouldnt make an opinion on Drew`s performance without watching.

Apparently you need to watch alot closer because Drew has shown some things we haven't seen until now in his three years here. He's been getting rid of the ball quickly and decisively, avoiding pressure by stepping up into or outside of the pocket when possible. And the strength and accuracy is still there. The OLine has not played as a full unit yet either but there have been obvious improvements at LG and C.

  4. "TD in his wisdom. . ."  WOW is that laying it on thick. His track record here is certainly not above some criticism. I have a feeling that you must secretly be TD's mom or dad.

The fact remains "ghosteroo" that I don't see too many other GM's getting 1st round picks for would be overpriced free-agents that in most cases leave with nothing in return. I would call that wisdom. You can call it whatever you like. :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:

  5. In general I really like eveything I've seen and heard from the guy. He looks comfortable in his position. He is honest and doesn't mince words. He has the player's respect already. He understands the game and played the game himself.

If I was to get picky I might admit just a little aprehension I have about his fondness for trick plays. I have some good knowledgeable Steeler fan friends who warned about this. They say things like "you'll love the guy, right up until that double reverse call on the 9th play of a drive where you've been consistently pounding the ball down field", which of course we've already seen....

  6. I mean 34 having the option of being able to have two great receivers I don't think you can just have with a snap of your finger I mean let's face it Eric Moulds is not getting any younger, I mean I hope Lee Evans pans out along with Josh Reed but it's all hope right now, when we had a guy that we was sure of

Again I agree with you on that point. I think many of us do. But the size of the contract he demanded simply would not allow a future for the Buffalo Bills TEAM.

  7. Kelly I think the same about you man, I know you know your stuff AND YOUR THE ONLY GUY ON HERE, that I've seen that can think Im nuts and not resort to names and bring something intelligent to the table about the bills, Im just a lil frusterated man, he was one of my favorite players when he was at Tennesee, and I said it's no we can draft him, and WE DId, and he produced and then we let him go becuase of his price tag

I don't think I'd be going out on a limb to say that last season one additional solid #2 WR would NOT have saved our bacon on offense in 2003. It's not always about players.... Sometimes there are schemes and coaches (or lack thereof) involved too.

  8. No Kelly Im not I said previously that I don't believe that he's in a class with Moss, TO, Harrison, Holt, but what's the difference between what Peerless want's and what Moulds wanted after his contract was up and had a great year, Eric wasn't a top 5 receiver at the time and still is not but got paid didnt he??? but the difference was is that Reed was at the end of the line and we didn't have anybody so WE HAD TO RESIGN HIM, he was talking about going to play basketball or something, So when Peerless tries the samething we say no you aint worth it, but Eric did the same stevestojan, and please don't ask me anything about Josh Reed

You're right Jay, Moulds wasn't a top 5 receiver when he re- signed.... He was a TOP 3 RECEIVER. AND signed a VERY reasonable contract to boot :(

  9. Production (past or future) is irrelevant when considering what two Pro Bowl Salaries would do to the Bill's cap situation and other positions on the team. And once again , I loved Peerless but he cannot hold EM's jock. Sorry.

BTW, Isaac Bruce is old and unselfish.... That's why Holt and he can co-exist.

  10. 34 you guys keep saying he wasn't worth it, but you won't mention anything about PRODUCTION, Im just not so sure about that now, yall keep saying he's not in the top 5 as far as maybe being able to be on his own and catch 100 balls, and I agree with that, but it's only a few guys that can really, IM not saying he's necessarily in a class with TO, MOss and Harrison, or even Holt but gosh darnit, LOOK AT WHAT HE DID FOR OUR OFFENSE, so what if he played for the texans he might not dominate, but why would you base anything off but what he did for the BIlls and he produced and the offense produced and now our offense suck as a result of that move, it's going to take Lee Evans 3 years just like it does any other WR, he's no exception, Im not trying to wait that long, when we had a guy HERE ALREADY,

    14483

Jay, I agree with you about his production here in our offense and I was one of his staunchest supporters while he was here. I watched him closely in his time here and disagreed with many about the "alligator arms" phenomenon and the whole attitude thing (atleast the extreme of it). The fact remains that NO team can afford two contracts of that magnitude at the WR position and not feel the effects elsewhere on the team. The lucky teams that have 2 great WRs usually have one guy who is vastly underpaid or one guy who is nearing the end of his career.

  11. I undertstand everything you just said 34 but who in the hell really wants to be TAGGED, yes that means you are paid in the top 5 category of your position, BUT IT'S ONLY FOR 1 YEAR, the bottom line was is that TD didn't draft Peerless, and didn't believe that he was worth the money he asked for and Tagged him, Most players in football around their second or third contract want a long term deal so they can secure their future as far as where they will be playing, their family and their financial situation, I keep hearing all these excuses but the bottom line is that we knew we had Eric so we figured we could lose Peerless sign someone like a bobby Shaw and that everything would work out fine and it didn't

    14455

Yes, but the fact remains that Peerless indeed WASN'T worth NEAR the money he was asking for. Only a John Butler (RIP) type GM would have retained him for that figure.

  12. TD did not in any way shape or form "get rid of" Peerless. Peerless and his agent did not wish to negotiate a reasonable contract with the team, thus the team used the franchise tag to reatain him. He would have earned an average of the top 5 salaries at his position and the Bills were willing to give that to him (which in itself was too much$) for a 1 year contract. Peerless and his agent incorrectly felt that they should be paid as a star #1 WR, which Peerless has proven not to be. TD in his wisdom even obtained a #1 pick for Peerless by creating urgency by ATL to sign him. We basically received something for nothing as Peerless no longer wished to play as a #2 WR.
