Report: Bills working on extension for Jordan Phillips
JerseyBills replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes!! I love the energy he brings. , He was a steal and very reliable in the rotation -
Josh Allen is a cheat code on 3rd and 4th and 1!!
JerseyBills replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah we were brutal the last few years with Tyrod on 3rd and a yard or less. So refreshing to have this kid basically be automatic. I'd expect them to develop some deep shots on 3rd down and if we fail just run the sneak on 4th , -
Brandon Beane press conference 12/31

Exactly. Which is why I never understood the McBeane hate. They essentially sacrificed this year for the long term success of the team. -
Bills fire OL Coach Juan Castillo

Trust the process!!! -
One thing I noticed since Allen has come back from injury is Buffalo being way more aggressive on 4th and 1 or less and seems everytime they just run the sneak with Allen. I can't find the exact numbers but there has been a few occasions and he has yet to be stopped. This is a very important and underrated part of his game. Just look at how much we struggled at 3rd and/or 4th and 1 last year and before the injury. Very inconsistent. Yesterday he did it again , on what was almost closer to 2 yards and easily got the first. Can Josh Allen be stopped in this situation? He looks like a cheat code in these situations , it's pretty incredible , he's automatic at such a crucial down and distance , I love it!!

Lorax - should he be extended?
JerseyBills replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has shown it all year , he doesn't have the miles on him that a regular 35 year old would. He only started playing regularly in 2015 . Get him signed Immediately . -
Our coach...say what you want but he's a class act.
JerseyBills replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm basically a McD Homer at this point , and I'm surprised by the amount of people that were/are actually calling for his head. I've been saying he's a natural head coach , and right where he needs to be , he belongs coaching at the highest level. I'm thrilled he's in Buffalo. I envision him being here a long time. I agree he has overachieved , but most of all I love what he has instilled into this team. He has built an identity and culture and has stuck to his vision and blueprint the whole time. A perfect example was week 17 , you see Miami banged up in the secondary and those young guys came in that looked unprepared and like they didn't belong. McD has had to do alot of shuffling in the secondary , and has Undrafted rookies playing at a high level. Not missing a beat. You can see the difference right there in McD and a coach like Gase. Something special is brewing in Western New York. McBeane said from day 1 , that they want to build a team that has Long Term, Sustainable success and they have certainly set themselves up to make that achievable. We have a ton of young talent that will only get better , just look at the back 7 , I think Wallace is basically a lock to hold that #2 cb role , him,Taron,Tre, Edmunds and Milano will all be 2nd or 3rd year players and just came off a year where they were the #1 pass D by a significant margin , they're going to be deadly with more time to gel. -
#95 will be playing in the probowl this year!

Posted this in retirement thread but probably got lost. I was looking up the Stevie Johnson God Drop game vs Pitt where Kyle played arguably his best game ever , old but a great, must read . https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/kyle-williams-beast Congrats to an amazing player and even better person . -
Kyle Williams: Officially Retires
JerseyBills replied to Clemfield2622's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow . U were actually serious? No offense but your football i.q is extremely low if you believe that. Who remembers when he almost single handedly won us the Steelers game in 2010 , It was the Stevie Johnson drop game where he blamed God... Just look at what PFF says about Williams, arguably the best DT that year , and here's the excerpt from the Steelers game, going against an all pro C .. The Pittsburgh Game If you asked me what the best performance at any position in the 2010 season was, then I’d be looking at Week 12 when the Bills hosted the Steelers. While much of the postgame focus was on Steve Johnson and his five drops (including one that would have won the game), I watched in amazement at what Kyle Williams did in his 74 defensive snaps. It wasn’t perfect, but it was pretty close. 29.73% of his snaps were graded positively, a ridiculously high margin as Williams dominated the Steelers interior for five quarters, with both Maurkice Pouncey and Chris Kemoeatu absorbing the brunt of his ability. Take what Williams did with 5:25 left in the first half: bursting through the A-gap with such explosiveness that neither Pouncey or Kemoeatu can do anything but watch as he engulfs Ben Roethlisberger. Or, with 16 seconds left in the first quarter, shooting off the line so quickly that Pouncey couldn’t pick him up, Williams met Rashad Mendenhall five yards in the backfield as he received the ball. There are many more highlights, but I’m sure you get the point. It was certainly a game worth re-watching. The full article is a great, must read... https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/kyle-williams-beast -
Could Tyrod Taylor Run Lamar Jackson’s Offense?
JerseyBills replied to BillyWhiteShows's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And we had the #1 rush offense. If we had a #1 D we would have been in the playoffs I haven't seen any evidence Lamar is better in the pass game than Taylor. Both extremely limited -
Cousins turns to below average when going against good defenses. We saw it against us , I think they didn't cross the 50 til the mid 3rd qtr. He will put up big numbers versus the below average defenses . Super overrated

Cards Reporter hearing Mike McCarthy to Browns
JerseyBills replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. He had two H.O.F QB back to back , so I think he got severely overrated because he was always in the playoffs but I think this job will prove he's super overrated . Surprised they didn't take more time to consider Greg , who did a fantastic job with Kitchens and could stunt Bakers growth , implementing a brand new system , when he was excelling in the current one -
2021 playoffs - AFC Championship Allen v. Mayfield?
JerseyBills replied to chaccof's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Man if Beane cleans up in FA and has another superb draft , we're instantly legit contenders in the AFC . I'm also anticipating Allen makes a jump in his play , which is common in year 2 . This team is going places , I can see it, can feel it.. I think we can be hosting a playoff game next year and once you're in, anything is possible. Not familiar enough with Clevelands cap situation , FAs , etc. They had a very good draft themselves with Dorsey but won't have the luxury of an abundance of picks and picking first in every round. Very possible , that'd be awesome, both fan bases deserve it. Both teams are on the rise for sure -
End of Season Rank the rookie QB's
JerseyBills replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's listed as 6'3. I remember his combine , he's about 6'2 1/2. Agree on Allen too. He's put the O on his back since coming back. He has that "it" factor I just don't see in Darnold. I think Darnold can be a good QB , I just think Allen could be a special one. That arm talent with the running ability at 6'5 240 is unheard of. And you know he's going to work his butt off to clean up his game. I'm expecting a big jjump next year, that's a scary thought for our opponents. Glad 17 is a Bill baby!! -
End of Season Rank the rookie QB's
JerseyBills replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've said this alot recently. People point to the record but Tyrod would have had a great record when Roman was OC , IF we had the #1 D . You take away an OC that is a masterful run game coordinator and if that D dips to average and you got a Tyrod Taylor basically, who is currently a backup. Lamar is just sooooo limited in the pass game, I just don't see him progressing to a level that is sustainable for success. Even with this great run game , he only eclipsed 200 yards once, sound familiar Bills fans? He's been purely a product of a great , unorthodox run scheme and a great defense. I'd personally have him 4th, barely ahead of Rosen. If anyone wants to chime in as to why they are so high on him , I'd love to hear the reasons , not being sarcastic or condescending. I truly don't understand the hype Jackson is almost 6'3. Taylor is 6'1. Both are phenomenal athletes. Both also are below average at best in the pass game -

I don't understand the Jackson hype. Tyrod 2.0. Extremely limited in pass game -
I just can't help but see Tyrod 2.0... If we had the #1 D , we would have went to the playoffs with Roman , when we had the #1 Rush O. We would have been praising Taylor up n down but u take away Roman or the #1 D and he's a backup QB. Not saying Lamar can't progress, it's just what I see watching him. The kid is super athletic , the scheme is phenomenal and the D is great . He's extremely limited in the pass game though, and that's not going to get you far in the playoffs imo.

I like that we get Denver , Baltimore , and Philly at home.

Looking like we will be number 1 in D
JerseyBills replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Our run D still needs some work but our pass D is phenomenal. Look , it's a passing league, you're going to give up some catches but we held like 8 of the last 10 QB to under 200 yards, which is ridiculous. Hyde and Poyer are so underrated , they're playing S and this scheme at an extremely high level
