  1. Who's McNair?
  2. A few not mentioned: Otto Graham Terry Bradshaw Randall Cunningham Archie Manning Roger Staubach
  3. It's more the drunken, retarded "fans" @ RICH that I have issue w/. The building's fine. How much did that run you?
  4. I'll buy it. Eventually. The game I buy when it comes out is NCAA football. I'll probably get a used copy of Madden some time later.
  5. He didn't say "the best offensive weapon". He said "their best offensive weapon", which he was in terms of scoring. Owens had 10 TD receptions for Dallas last season, as many as their next three best receivers combined (Jason Witten-4, Patrick Crayton-4, Marion Barber-2).
  6. Folks, can we get back to football discussion here? I'm sure you can have your catfight via PMs or some other way.
  7. Now there's a ringing endorsement.
  8. Maybe it does to him?
  9. Um.....okay.
  10. Hey, I know a Tuffy Maul. She told me her name was Lisa...

  12. I believe we had this discussion a few months ago. We got a $51.99 rate for the first few days and a $45.99 rate for Sunday evening @ Motel 6 and I booked it weeks before the HOF announcements.
  13. And, he got those 4.5 sacks on one good leg, as he was struggling w/ the foot injury his rookie season. You see what the guy can do when healthy. And yet, all the experts just knew he was going to be a bust. Bush isn't a bad player @ all. He's just not going to be what everyone thought he'd be. I've said numerous times that he's best suited to be a flanker type back, much like Raghib Ismail was for that school back in the day. And like Ismail, Bush is just as explosive. But, he's just not suited to be an every down, 20-25 carries per game RB. That doesn't mean he's a bust. If he can stay healthy and they get solid production from an every down back (if they can find one to stay healthy), he'll continue to cause matchup problems and give the team game breaking ability.
  14. Not exactly. On one hand, it doesn't mean that someone who looks impressive in shorts will look that way once they have to do contract drills, but, on the other hand, to actually be there and to begin to grasp your team's concepts is never a bad thing (see Russell, Jamarcus).
  15. Moulds is a pretty good mention. The guy played well despite a seemingly non-ending stream of changing QBs and offensive coordinators, ending up w/ over 600 catches and 9,000 yards in his career as a Bill. W/ all of that chaos and to produce @ the rate he did was very impressive.
  16. In an hour, we will begin the 2009 rookie draft. Please go to the sim league subforum and check in so that I know which owners are going to be present and which ones are no shows. I do have lists from a few owners who couldn't be online today.
  17. He did? If so, that's news to me. I ran the 110s in high school and college and I remember Skeet's 12.93 being the record 'til Roger Kingdom broke it by a hundreth back in '89. How good was I? Not nearly as good as they were. My best @ the college/amateur hurdle height (3.5 ft) was 14.86, the time I ran as I took 2nd in the PSAC Championships meet in '88.

  19. Yes. Watching the guy chase shots all over the court @ the French Open was awesome. Rarely have I seen that kinda hustle in a tennis match. To the best of my knowledge, Jordan never won THE major golf title on a broken leg, either.
  20. Tough one, but I may go w/ Adrian "AD" Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings.
  21. Hmm. Some very interesting responses in here. I was glad to see Wilt Chamberlain get mentioned. He was known for his basketball prowess, but he also was a very fast and incredibly strong athlete. Meadowlark Lemmon once said of how Chamberlain, when he was playing w/ the Harlem Globetrotters, could throw him up in the air and catch him. Lemon was 'bout 210 @ the time. Wow. Here's my short list (haha, yeah right): Olympians Jim Thorpe Rafer Johnson Jesse Owens Carl Lewis Babe Didrickson Zaharias Jackie Joyner Kersee Wilma Rudolph Football Jim Brown Tony Gonzalez Deion Sanders Bo Jackson Baseball Willie Mays Roberto Clemente James Bell Basketball Wilt Chamberlain Michael Jordan Kobe Bryant Hakeem Olajuwon Other Sports Tiger Woods Bjorn Borg Michael Chang Roger Federer Muhammad Ali Sugar Ray Robinson
