  1. That's 'cause he always dresses for the occasion. He wears a tie.
  2. You have my cell number. If it gets too late in the week, just gimme a call.
  3. What he said. If anyone needs any tickets, I have 4 extras on the Bills side for $45 each.
  4. 49 days and counting!!!
  5. Psycho Ward 86 and I will be there.
  6. It certainly will be a nice change, huh?
  7. That really is a shame. I thought he would become a good pass rusher in the NFL. Unfortunately, his illness prevents that. My prayers go out to him.
  8. Creative as it may be.
  9. Hmmm.....one guy modeled his coaching career after Paul Brown (Landry), one played for him (Shula), and the other coached under and was greatly influenced by him (Walsh). Maybe that Brown guy was pretty good after all.
  10. Paul Brown should be the first football coach mentioned.
  11. Since I can't make the tailgate, maybe I can get one of these T shirt thingys. One 3XL and one XL
  12. Only when mentioning the Greg 'backer, seeing that Pudge was a guard.
  13. You're all so helpful. Sam: strongside LB (lines up on side of TE) Mike: middle LB Will: weakside LB
  14. Plus, they're not as well known. Victims of the "I've heard of 'em" syndrome.
  15. Yeah, like that'll take care of this. These kind of posts will just be replaced w/ the up to the minute reports on what the players have for breakfast.
  16. 59 days and counting!!! Getting closer...
  17. Well, in terms of the entire secondary, they also had Thomas Everett, who was very good as well @ the other safety spot (Woodson was a corner then). Everett would go on to get a couple picks in the massacre that was Super Bowl XVII.
  18. Lott began his career in San Fransisco as a corner before moving to safety. He was an excellent corner.
  19. Well, I'll throw some to the not so old timers, @ least in terms of the secondary: Dennis Smith and Steve Atwater Outstanding tandem @ safety.
  20. Sigh. Here we go again w/ this. Ryan, in addition to being one who could be the "real deal", also had the benefit of playing w/ one of the league's top rushers in Turner and an emerging wideout in Roddy White. Not to mention a defense led by one of the league's best pass rushers. He certainly has ability, yes, but he also didn't walk into the same set of circumstances as Losman. Maybe Losman will never be much of an NFL quarterback. I, for one, hope that he can work his way back into an opportunity to change that and that the opportunity he gets be a bit better than his first one.
  21. Poz is a guy who gets the most out of his athleticism. That's great in terms of range for a 4-3 middle 'backer (worked for guys like Ray Lewis and the late Sam Mills), but inside, you have to be able to take on interior blockers, shed 'em, and attack the run. Poz isn't quite big enough or aggressive enough in shedding blocks (a weak area in general for all Bills LBs) that I'd feel comfortable in putting him inside in a 3-4. Mitchell got heat in a 4-3 scheme w/ a tremendous amount of pressure coming from the front four. In a 3-4, he's primarily responsible for pressuring the QB. Apples and oranges. In my opinion, I think he's far better suited to do damage inside in a 3-4.
