Not exactly. On one hand, it doesn't mean that someone who looks impressive in shorts will look that way once they have to do contract drills, but, on the other hand, to actually be there and to begin to grasp your team's concepts is never a bad thing (see Russell, Jamarcus).

Moulds is a pretty good mention. The guy played well despite a seemingly non-ending stream of changing QBs and offensive coordinators, ending up w/ over 600 catches and 9,000 yards in his career as a Bill. W/ all of that chaos and to produce @ the rate he did was very impressive.

He did? If so, that's news to me. I ran the 110s in high school and college and I remember Skeet's 12.93 being the record 'til Roger Kingdom broke it by a hundreth back in '89. How good was I? Not nearly as good as they were. My best @ the college/amateur hurdle height (3.5 ft) was 14.86, the time I ran as I took 2nd in the PSAC Championships meet in '88.

Yes. Watching the guy chase shots all over the court @ the French Open was awesome. Rarely have I seen that kinda hustle in a tennis match. To the best of my knowledge, Jordan never won THE major golf title on a broken leg, either.

Hmm. Some very interesting responses in here. I was glad to see Wilt Chamberlain get mentioned. He was known for his basketball prowess, but he also was a very fast and incredibly strong athlete. Meadowlark Lemmon once said of how Chamberlain, when he was playing w/ the Harlem Globetrotters, could throw him up in the air and catch him. Lemon was 'bout 210 @ the time. Wow. The free agent draft begins today @ 11:00am EST. The draft is held over in the Sim League subforum. The thread for Round 1 will open a few minutes prior to 11:00am EST.

We just added two more owners, but there's still potentially 3 more spots open if anyone else is interested.

Taking over a team.

Everyone, though not as many times as Brady. Brady was pick 199 (6th round) while Canty was pick 132 (4th). There's nothing like the "Coulda Shoulda Woulda" game, is there?

It takes up a lot more of my time (as commish and owner of 3 teams) than the other owners. Only during the time of the free agent and rookie drafts (FA draft begins Tuesday) does it take any significant time. If you take over a team, you can relocate, but there are limits. If you're interested and need to know, check out the Rules and Regulations that are listed in our league subforum.
