  1. Oh great. Now I have to be the bodyguard here on the Wall as well. My work is never done. Welcome. See you next year at the Bills-Jets game (ask your Daddy; he'll fill you in on the details).
  2. Tell me about it. Year 4 of the Donahoe regime is looking pretty bad. We could use a miracle.......... (this is where the horse is supposed to come in, Mel Brooks!)
  3. Damn! I'm getting sick of this 'reverse Cycle' crap! The ultimate football weekend for me is if Penn State and Buffalo win while Notre Dame loses. Not this weekend. I was able to get to our hotel room just in time to see Penn State lose to Purdue. It was heartbreaking. After leaving the Browns @ Steelers game, we were able to get to Damon's just in time to see the Bills rally from 13-0 down, only to see them break down again. IS THERE ANY RELIEF IN SIGHT????????
  4. Steve, I was there at the game and their line looked pretty good to me. The Browns brought the house at Big Ben, and they were able to get into the backfield at times, but this kid handled the pressure well. Look at how Staley was able to run on the Browns. Most of the time, the Steelers ran 2 or 3 times in a row and still were able to gain yards. This line is healthier now, and they are starting to come together.
  5. Yeah, Greg. Big Ben is for real. My brother graduated from Miami of Ohio 15 years ago, and he first told me about Ben 2 seasons ago. I've been watching him over that period of time and he does look impressive. He seems to really be composed and not overwhelmed by being a pro QB.
  6. It was refreshing to see a team led by a QB who believes in his teammates and in himself. Ben Roethlisberger continues to show that he is NOT intimidated by playing in the NFL. His decision making is usually spot on and he's shown the ability to make plays both inside and outside the pocket. Imagine that. Pittsburgh's offensive line, which had been a sore spot in recent years, seems to be getting better by the game. There's noticeable improvement, unlike our line. They were able to keep pounding away at Cleveland's defense and Staley eventually got his 3rd straight 100 yard game. This looked like the old Steelers; "we're going to run on you and you just try to stop us!". If the Steelers do lose Plaxico Burress at season's end, it will be a lose/lose situation. He and Roethlisberger seem to be developing a nice working relationship there. Ward is still the man, but Burress is more than just the deep guy now. He's becoming more of an option on short to medium routes too. The Steeler defense didn't impress me a ton, but they were effective in keeping the Browns from getting anything started for the most part. They did break down on passing downs by letting WRs get open (when will people learn that soft zone crap doesn't work?) and by letting Garcia get outside of their contain men. Often. The one thing I take away from watching their defense is that they can be beaten over the top. Lee Evans could have a great game against them in January. Heniz Field is really nice too! This was my first time there and I was impressed at all the different options they have there. They have a walk of fame, various activities for children, a reggae band playing live before the game, and a lot of different food vendors with great looking-and smelling-stuff for sale (they have not only a Primanti Brothers stand, but also a Quaker Steak and Lube and a place right under their scoreboard called the "Steel Pit" where they grill up hot dogs, hamburgers, and sausages). I also thought the "Red Zone" gimmick, where the two bottles of Heinz ketchup on top of the scoreboard/Jumbotron tilt down and start 'pouring' whenever the Steelers are inside the opposing team's 20 yard line, was pretty cool. Bottom line? The Steelers look pretty good. Time will tell how good, as they have Parcells' Cowboys, the Patriots, and the Iggles coming up next. But, so far, so good for them. Even if they're playing scrubs at this point in their season, hey, they're beating them. If the Bills don't start to improve, the January matchup with the Steelers could get messy. Let's hope things start to turn around for us.
  7. I think he was the kicker for the Giants before.
  8. Now I wish I had a fresh turkey that I could fry tonight.
  9. If you play to stereotypes, you can write just about any kind of music.
  10. They're good that way, aren't they? We went to my Mother's place last year for Thanksgiving and she fried a turkey. Very tasty.
  11. I made the right choice, then.
  12. You forgot the other board rule: Rip members of a message board who don't agree with your views, as opposed to staying off the board. Repeat ad nauseam.
  13. Stop talking about food, guys. You're making me hungry.
  14. Maybe I'll fry a turkey on Monday. Mmmm...............turkey!
  15. But, what about the Steelers game?
  16. You going to either the Cards or Steelers games, Brandon?
  17. I would've been okay with that pick. Evans isn't bad though.
  18. Sounds good. I guess I'll see you then. Have fun at the Jets game. I sold my tickets for that one to Rockpile.
  19. SIKE!!! Hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!
  20. I could use some of that gold.
  21. Is this the only game you plan to attend this year? I'll be at the Cards game and the Steelers game and if you go to those, I'd like to meet you.
  22. I wish I could've been there. I thought about it, but that was just after we bought our house and money was tight then. I didn't even go to any Bills games that year.
