  1. My thoughts exactly. The top pick in the draft by the Falcons and a total waste of a roster space.
  2. I am a Booster Club member, knucklehead! I just have never made a meeting in the 2 years I've been a member. This will be my first meeting. I'm pretty sure Steve is a member of the Boosters as well.
  3. Happy birthday. This time, I mean it.
  4. The difference being that Randle El was a very good college quarerback, good enough to be the Big 11's Player of the Year his last year of school. I don't think Jones will be a bust, but he probably will need time to adjust. Don't expect big things from him immediately.
  5. I can recall when people thought the same of DT Bryant Young, after he broke his leg for the second time.
  6. With the Ravens' switch from the 3-4 to the 4-3, they are entertaining the idea of using Boulware as the rush end instead of as the WLB. If that happens, it'll test your theory.
  7. Thanks for the info. LancasterSteve and I will be there.
  8. Don't forget that other FSU scrub at DE: Peter Boulware.
  9. Correct.
  10. It depends. You can have an average 40 time yet still have good closing speed. Some people have to build up to top speed and it may take more than 40 yards for them to reach their top speed. Also, if they have good man/ball skills, including good reaction time, that plus the ability to close can mask a 'slow' 40 time.
  11. Not bad. I think Terry is a pretty good prospect at tackle and is probably on the Bills' short list of candidates. Tuck, if he lasts to this pick, would be a nice addition as a pass rusher. It's been a long time since we've had a pass rush specialist (since the days of Jim Jeffcoat) and maybe he'd eventually develop into a starter. Jason Brown's mobility is a concern (he's slow as molasses), but that notwithstanding, he's still a highly rated prospect at C in this draft. Some have him as high as 2nd. If he lasts until our pick in the 3rd, we'd be wise to draft him. I had him drafted in one of my early scenarios. As for the others, I like Dustin Fox and think he'd be a steal in the 5th. He could become a solid player at either safety (more likely) or corner. Travis Daniels is okay, but nothing special, still in the 7th it would be a good pick. I'm no big fan of Tyler Jones: I'd rather see the kid from Minnesota, Rhys Lloyd, drafted late.
  12. Now that's a law firm I have much to fear from.
  13. Happy birthday.
  14. Excellent idea. Bitching about ideas always works.
  15. Nah. We'd better make sure we get "our guy". I wonder what the Dolphins would want to trade up to the #2 spot? Hmmm. Maybe they'll accept our 2nd and Travis Henry. I just hope the Niners don't draft Nugent w/ the top pick.
  16. I agree.
  17. Just as long as the cat takes proper care of itself. Nobody wants a big sloppy kitty.
  18. We need to draft a kicker. Don't you realize that? Sure, we had our troubles w/ the interior OL and our pass rush could use a little something extra, and we could use a little more depth in the secondary and/or LB, and we could use a good DL, but getting a kicker is our top priority. Nugent may become the next Vinatieri, Akers, or Vanderjagt, so we must draft him early.
  19. I thought the boyfriend was for the carpet......uh........cleaning.
  20. Okay, let's go. Ken is buying.
  21. I've been to the Dave and Busters near DC. It's not that bad. No pool tables? Damn, that sucks.
  22. Yup! I'd say DJ also. Then again, we could use a couple kickers...
