  1. I don't know what happened, but we're all getting that message, Anthony. I was on a couple of times earlier to re-set the draft order and to set the time limit, but now I can't even access the site. Damn!
  2. The draft begins in just over half an hour (it was moved to 7:30pm).
  3. Still looking for 2 interested players for this league ... Yahoo! ID#: 270130 Password: BALL4FSP06 Online Draft Date/Time: September 3rd (this Sunday) @ 5:00pm EST Come one, come all!
  4. Wasn't that Chuck Norris and not Willis?
  5. He was also playing out of position. He should be playing guard, where his weaknesses (like his quickness) will be limited and his strengths (like his pass blocking) will be increased. Now, that said, I saw Joseph get to the 2nd level fairly well in their first preseason game, so maybe he has been working on his game. I remember from the pre-draft stuff I read about how astute he is and how much he studies game film and is constantly working on his techinique. Sure would've been nice to see the Bills grab him after a trade down, but I digress.
  6. Sigh.... Stating opinions is never a bad thing. Everyone here does it. What bothers me is when people take it to the next level and act as if they know something for a fact that hasn't happened yet. You don't see it that way, and I respect that.
  7. It's possible, but you do have to consider that New England does spread the ball around as inkman stated. Watson does seem to be a better than average receiver for them, which I honestly can't say for the rest of them. Maybe Branch, but even he isn't as good as people think he is. Better than average, but not an upper echelon WR.
  8. Here's my point: there is no way we can know whether he will be a successful head coach in his next go 'round until he is given the opportunity. Anything else is just stating opinion as fact, which is, @ the end of the day, opinion only.
  9. Thomas been passed over for the Power Rangers, eh?
  10. I like it just the way it was. Born in the 60s (okay, REALLY LATE 60s) Childhood in the 70s (great time to be a kid!) Teenage years in the 80s (likewise) Wild and crazy 20s in the 90s (I can barely remember it) Broke down 30s in the 2000s Ahhh, what fun it's been.
  11. Wait until he takes part in the pile on @ the opener.
  12. Fans? Irrational about a coach? I just can't see that.
  13. Tiger Woods is black?
  14. Good one, Kenneth. I believe that may have something to do w/ why the Texans went after a defensive player w/ their first pick instead of a running back. After all, they're getting production out of the RB position in Domanick Davis. What would Reggie Bush add to that? A few more TDs? How does that help if you have a defense ranked last statistically in just about every category? You're still going to lose unless you address that. Even though it wasn't the sexy pick, I applaud Houston for going that route.
  15. How insightful, Joseph. I'm not saying the guy won't fail a second time around. I'm also not saying that I KNOW for a FACT that he will. I lived in Erie surrouded by many Browns fans who would gladly hang Belichick in effigy just like we would do to Gregg Williams. They were just as passionate about seeing him run out on a rail, and were just as wrong about his chances to improve on his stint in Cleveland in another location. Bottom line: time will tell.
  16. I did, and I have the championship belt to prove it.
  17. To me, it's about having the ability to evaluate talent. Sometimes, you're going to get really good players in the high rounds. Other times, especially if your staff is good, you'll find guys who are able to play and more than willing to work for their shot. If you think there aren't many players out there like Kurt Warner (meaning they'd bust their tail for a chance to prove they can play pro ball), then you're kidding yourself. The key is having a staff that can accurately evaluate which players can make the transition and which ones are just dreamers.
  18. Now: don't have one All Time: Kent Hull
  19. Making snap judgments about where to take individuals is nearly as bad as just looking @ certain "indicators" (like 40 times) when making selections. There are many examples of lower round offensive linemen who have excelled in the pros, just as there are @ other positions. And, people's sometimes idiotic reliance on 40 times is the reason a receiver like Jerry Rice is available later or a more recent example, S Anthony Smith of Syracuse, who had a poor 40 time and slipped in the draft, much to the delight of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
  20. I only watched Tampa's first preseason game, but what I saw from both Joseph and Jeremy Trueblood was encouraging.
  21. I wonder how many Cleveland fans said the same thing when Belichick got his second chance at becoming a head coach. Probably as many as there were Raider fans who laughed about that Shanahan guy getting a second chance, too.
  22. 27 Days And Counting!!! Almost time! I'll be on my way up to Buffalo in 25 days.
  23. My alma mater, Shippensburg University, actually used to make these lists back in the day. I see WVU is still one of the top party schools. What a shock.
