  1. Crowell played ILB in a 3-4 @ UVA.
  2. Not @ all. People just want to transpose Bush onto a different team and believe that he'd perform the same. That's ridiculous. In New Orleans, he has a better line, better QB play, more receivers (though I feel Johnson is better than any one WR on the Saints' roster, but they have more in terms of young talented WRs), and a veteran RB who was able to carry the load in terms of carries, so that Bush did not have to. It's apples and oranges, and speculation on how he'd do in a less advantageous situation (like Houston) is just that: speculation.
  3. Hahaha!!! I've heard him compared to Archie Manning in that respect. Difference is, @ least Manning was able to carve some sort of career out of it, even though he was stuck on a real sorry Saints team. Being named NFL MVP while QBing that team is nothing short of a miracle.
  4. Hmm......Levi Brown or LaRon Landry, perhaps? Either would be a good move for them. Even if Spencer rehabs and returns to the lineup, they need all the OL help they can get, so Brown would be a good choice. Also, CC Brown isn't setting the world on fire in the secondary, so Landry would have little trouble breaking the starting lineup, I believe. Or they could go after Bledsoe, I mean, Quinn, if he falls to them.
  5. If only the Texans had taken Bush. No way he wouldn't have run for 1,900 yards and 22 TDs behind that line. In fact, he would've shown that he actually can run between the tackles and that there's no need for a Deuce McAllister type back to really carry the load. Oh, and he still would've had 'bout 98 receptions and they would've been for more than 'bout 6 yards a pop, too.
  6. Even though I don't care for sarcasm, I did appreciate yours.
  7. Considering how they benched Brunell toward the end of last season and replaced him w/ Campbell, I wouldn't bet on that.
  8. Or quarterback. Lest we forget, Neil O' Donnell could bench over 400lbs.
  9. Haha!! Exactly. All they would've needed to go w/ Bush is another back to handle the 20-25 carries (while he plays the flanker role), a QB like Brees, an offensive line featuring a stud tackle like Jammal Brown, and a corps of young wideouts like Devery Henderson and Marques Colston. Not too much; they're almost there.
  10. Good move for Schaub, as the Falcons seem determined to make Michael Vick their QB @ all costs, and for the Texans, where Kubiak is none too pleased w/ the development of David Carr.
  11. If one of the QBs fall to them, they could go in that direction. I believe there's a good chance the Texans would draft S LaRon Landry of LSU if he's still on the board, which he may very likely be @ their pick.
  12. Yeah. Since we still don't know what we have in McCargo, it seems a bit premature for the Bills to just cut bait and spend another first round pick on a DT. Now, that said, there are few positions I would be upset if the Bills used a pick on. We can use upgrades @ MLB, DT, WR, RB, C (I'm still not sold on Fowler), OG (maybe, if they don't move Walker inside), DE, and CB, so if the pick is on any of those positions, it would be alright.
  13. Good point, Brandon. Present both sides of the issue.
  14. Ma'ake Kemoeatu gets the Ravens a 5th round pick but Anthony Weaver gets them a fourth? Interesting.
  15. Agreed, Bills4154. Motley especially, as one of the big things teams look for in RBs is their ability to help out in pass protection. You'd be hard pressed to find a better pass blocking RB ever than Motley.
  16. The murderous ex player. Not where he belongs. I knew this was the "Greatest RBs of the Jim Brown era and beyond" thread. I just knew it.
  17. Agreed. You obviously spend the 2nd overall pick on the QB who can: a. get rattled easily when pressured b. put up monster stats vs scrub teams and chokes in big games vs good ones c. tip off the defenders before throwing by patting the football Who wouldn't want a QB like that?
  18. The guy was a phenomenal linebacker, but top ten running back? C'mon, now. Greatest RBs? Here's 10, in no particular order: Jim Brown (okay, he's first, so the rest are in no particular order) Barry Sanders (awesome; wonder what he would've done w/ a line like Emmitt had) Gayle Sayers (injuries cut his career short, but he still was awesome) TMEP Eric Dickerson (had great lines, which helped him play long enough to showcase his brilliance) Red Grange (dominated pro ball like no RB before and only Jim Brown did afterward) Walter Payton (Sweetness is a favorite because of his combination of speed, grace, and ruthless power) Earl Campbell (Skoal Brotha was as powerful as any back to ever play; injuries and brutal style have taken quite a toll on him though) Tony Dorsett (give him a slight edge over Thurm, but both are worthy) Marion Motley (great runner, maybe even better pass protector)
  19. You're least likely to be my least favorite.
  20. What makes it even worse for her is this 'flag' system they have. If a person's application has a red 'flag', they can't even interview the person. From what she's telling me, they're getting more red flags than yellow (can interview, but still tough to hire) or green (most desirable) flags.
  21. I'm salaried, Joseph.
  22. No pun intended, eh?
  23. You hurt my feelings. Big meanie.
  24. I'm finding this out. Still, it sucks though. She'll be scheduled off @ 5, but won't get home until after 11pm (people call out sick, can't hire any decent help, etc.). I'll be glad once she gets a full staff @ that store and can quit working these slave hours. She's basically putting in 'bout 15 or so unpaid hours weekly @ least.
  25. Ever since her promotion, she's had 'bout enough time to work, go home, sleep, and do the same thing over the next day, other than the week we went to Vegas (timing not right).
