You just proved my point on the private bakery, thank you. As for fact checking, I wouldn't care if i was factual and balanced, and not a terrible example of lazy journalism. However there is no such thing as balance in reporting anymore, so fact checking should be done away with completely. The Trump tweet on mail in ballots was a great example of lazy journalism. To claim that "many experts" believe mail in voting is not subject of fraud during a time when we are repeatedly shown fraudulent mail in voting on the news is beyond stupid! But the problem goes even deeper since most supposed fact checks today could be disputed with even a minor search. How the **** is he trying to control the media? Looks more like an argument in favor of FREE SPEECH to me?

Anyone else see the hypocrisy in all of this? Libs are okay with trying to force a private bakery for instance, to bake a cake for a gay wedding and scream free speech and a violation of civil rights if they refuse. But then think it is okay for a publicly traded company, that provides a very public forum to the public, to stifle speech?

The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
Cinga replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Well put, and this can't be emphasized enough! Even many of the vaccines being worked on are not a "cure" but are trying to achieve immunity through the use of platelets or replicating antibodies. The same thing that happens naturally through herd immunity! -

I suspect you are going to find that herd immunity is the way to go. Theoretically, when you hit about 20% immunity, it narrows the choice of hosts for the disease, limiting the numbers naturally because of it. We know now the NYC may already be at that level, with the entire state sitting right now at about 14% As for the elderly, yes, that is a tragedy that there is no excuse for. We left our most vulnerable exposed and a part of me wants authorities responsible to be held accountable. -

True, however I can go back through these pages over and over and show where some of us disputed those "experts", often even using their own data and are now proving to have been correct. -
The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

Not likely. Look at Sweden. ^^^^This^^^^ As well as the fact in most cases still, they only count as infected people that have been tested positive and not the many more who were asymptomatic. We know know by a growing number of studies that are counting people with anti-bodies dropping the mortality rate to a new CDC listed of 0.3%, MUCH lower than previously. And I think when all is said and done, that number will prove to be even lower. -
You're still not paying attention! WTF would we listen to anything WHO tells us at this point in the game?

Agreed... Even so many of the things we all posted here about numbers being wrong etc for the last couple months and the libs here bashed. So now these experts were not giving such good advice after all but unfortunately, the damage is done. -

Dershowitz is losing it... In a Republic, the rights of the individual is prioritized over that of the masses. He is talking about the "common good" crap that is born of majority rule. Forced vaccination and that whole welfare crap. I know, I know... precedent... Jacobson v Mass. But I would like to see that ruling challenged in modern times before lining people up like cattle. -
