In a 6-3 decision authored by Justice Amy Coney Barrett, the court granted the government's applications to partially stay the district court's nationwide injunctions in the birthright citizenship cases, noting that universal injunctions "likely exceed the equitable authority that Congress has granted to federal courts." As we've discussed previously, the issue before the court here wasn't the merits of the executive order or birthright citizenship. Nor was the court asked to decide here whether nationwide injunctions might be appropriate in other contexts. Rather, the issue before the court was whether it is appropriate for district court judges to issue nationwide or universal injunctions in this context, although the language contained in the opinion certainly is encouraging as to the broader context. No doubt there will be further analysis to come on this one, but this is a solid win for the Trump administration. https://redstate.com/smoosieq/2025/06/27/supreme-court-rules-on-nationwide-injunctions-in-birthright-citizenship-cases-n2190964

Need Proof That Democrats Are Panicking About Mamdani’s Victory? By Matt Margolis Democrats are uneasy about Socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani’s recent victory in the Democratic primary for New York City mayor, and nowhere was that discomfort more obvious than in House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries’ evasive response when an anchor pressed him about Mamdani’s ideology. On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Joe Scarborough put Jeffries on the spot, asking him if Mamdani’s far-left views on economic issues and Israel were the kind of ideology Democrats should embrace in 2026. Instead of addressing the question, Jeffries pivoted hard, steering the conversation away from Mamdani entirely, and onto — you guessed it — Donald Trump. https://pjmedia.com/matt-margolis/2025/06/26/need-proof-democrats-are-panicking-about-mamdanis-victory-n4941205

ABOUT DAMN TIME. Supreme Court Allows States to Cut Off Medicaid Funding to Planned Parenthood by James Lynch The Supreme Court is allowing South Carolina to cut off Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood, a win for pro-lifers that will clear the way for red states across the country to stop taxpayer dollars from funding abortion. The justices ruled 6-3 along ideological lines Thursday to permit South Carolina to cut off Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood. Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote the majority opinion for the Court, siding with the state against a private challenge brought by the abortion provider and a patient. https://www.nationalreview.com/news/supreme-court-allows-states-to-cut-off-medicaid-funding-to-planned-parenthood/

While there's still an outside chance that the scandal-plagued current mayor, Eric Adams, could win as an independent in the general election if several other candidates, including Republican Curtis Sliwa, get behind him, let's just say I'm not exactly confident that's how things will play out. Instead, it looks like New Yorkers saw the destruction of Chicago's socialist lunatic of a mayor and decided they wanted that too, but even worse. So, who exactly is Mamdani? He's the son of a Columbia professor (because, of course, he is) and a radical in every respect of the word. But what about his economic and social policies? In short, Mamdani is a communist, and not in the way that word is sometimes used on the right to describe crony capitalist Democrats. No, Mamdani is literally just a communist. Two of his primary proposals are government-owned grocery stores and rent control. With all that said, I'm not in much of a mood to further lament what is about to happen to New York City. It's about time the rest of America stopped feeling sympathy, as if this was the result of misguided naivete. No, they voted for an antisemitic Islamic communist with their eyes wide open. The destruction that is coming was a choice, and New Yorkers deserve to suffer the consequences of that. No federal bailouts and no interference to try to save them from themselves. Let it happen. https://redstate.com/bonchie/2025/06/25/new-york-city-just-chose-to-destroy-itself-and-its-time-to-let-it-happen-n2190880

UN Nuclear Watchdog Chief: ‘Night and Day’ Difference Between Iran’s Nuclear Capabilities Before and After US Strikes 'It is clear that there is one Iran—before June 13, nuclear Iran—and one now,' says IAEA's Rafael Grossi -
“They can stomach many things, but losing to Trump — especially on issues as consequential as this one, is not one of them, hence the pearl clutching, handwringing, and gaslighting about the nuclear site strikes and the ceasefire deal. It simply does not compute with them that it’s Trump, not Obama and not Biden, who is the actual anti-war, peace through strength president in this scenario, bless their hearts.” https://redstate.com/sister-toldjah/2025/06/24/oh-my-word-cnn-panel-erupts-after-former-obama-official-claims-he-was-an-anti-war-president-n2190837
