  1. I think you're pretty low in your projections for JP, considering last year in 8 games (not even full games) he had 1340 yards thats an average of 167 yds/game. Your estimates above would be only 147 yds/game. As bad as our QB play was last year, they still managed 2700 yards between the two of them. Your pretty much looking at a disaster of a year for JP and absolutely no improvement. I would at least suspect minimal improvement. If he finishes with only 2300 yards, I would officially say he isn't going to make it on this team and its time to cut ties with him and its time to look at Brady Quinn and another 3 years of development for him. To be honest, I'm looking for about 3000 yards from JP and 1/1 TD to int ratio. I wouldn't be ecstatic, but I'd be pleased that he is getting better and I think that would bode well for next year.
  2. Its a little early to be calling this draft a great success. Although, things do seem to be looking good this early. Lets see where this draft class stands at the end of this year and again at the end of 2007. We should get a pretty good idea by then. They always say it takes about three years to properly judge a draft class. Lets give them at least one, first.
  3. Cleveland Browns! Then the Superbowl against the Detroit Lions!!! Hey, if the Bills can make it to the AFC Championship game, why not?
  4. Does it really matter who starts Saturday? Right now Holcomb is penciled in as starter (at least he has been getting the first repetitions in camp), so I really don't think anything will change from now until the game. Holcomb will start this week and unless something drastic takes place in the next 10 days, Losman will probably start game 2. A final decision on a starter for the season will probably follow that game.
  5. To be honest with you, I think the reports on both QBs have been quite good. There is no QB that is going to complete everything in Training Camp or never make mistakes. To me it seems that they are both keeping mistakes to a minimum. It sounds like the only really bad day of practice was Wednesday. Another poster said something on how the Miami QBs were doing terrible in practice and we just aren't hearing that about the Bills' QB's. I prefer Losman start because there is so much more upside. We already know what we are going to get in Holcomb and to be honest its nothing great.
  6. I think that's what fans and media said might be a good plan, but Jauron has stated there are no plans of that taking place in the near future.
  7. By all accounts Buffalo has no chance to make the playoffs this year, so why not start Losman ALL season and see how he handles it? Why would you favor Holcomb this year?
  8. In one of the articles I read from TBD this morning, it said Ralph was at some Tennis tournament or something.
  9. Rivers has a more finished product around him, so I expect him to have a better season. Having LT in the backfield doesn't hurt either.
  10. Sounds logical, but unfortunately, Whitner and his agent aren't looking at where he should have gone in the draft, but where he was selected. In reality, that is how they should be looking at it.
  11. Holcomb's Arm, is that you? You are worried that JP hasn't seperated himself from Holcomb thus far in training camp, but aren't you the slightest worried that Holcomb, the 10-12 year vet, has not come close to outshining a still young JP Losman? Holcomb has been in this league for quite awhile now, he is not going to all of a sudden get better than what we are currently seeing. We know what we have in Holcomb, and its not really that good to count on as a starter. At least with JP there is a possible upside, if this year is dedicated to him being the starter. If Losman sucks, then I'm all for dumping him after the season finishes, but I want to see him go through the entire year.
  12. I actually liked the fact that JP was hanging out with his Center. I think thats a relationship that really needs building. Not the Running Back/Quarterback relationship.
  13. Sounds like the defense got back against the O for the practice last night. Seems like the Offense had a good night yesterday and this time the Defense wanted to show them who's in charge.
  14. According to an article in another thread, Marv said the offer is right in the middle of Huff's and Sims'. Doesn't really sound like much his agent has to argue with.
  15. Have to go with Losman no matter what. At least by the end of the season we'll know whether or not he is the future.
  16. Thanks Sven! Great Report, keep 'em coming!
  17. Cutting Posey would be crazy. He doesn't get all the glory (or any glory for that matter), but he's still a solid linebacker and would be great for depth.
  18. Well, then I have some "good" news for you for next year. Vincent will likely not be here next year, maybe not even this year. Also, Clements will probably not be here or if he is, hopefully at a very reduced rate since he gets a new contract.
  19. Never like to see that, I don't care what team a player is on.
  20. Thank God!!! Our prayers will continue.
  21. I'd have to agree with this. Marv and company pretty much forced Mularkey out. They can say they were surprised he quit all they want, but I'm sure the front office was breathing a sigh of relief when he quit. With the bonus of not having to pay MM for the remainder of his contract if he was fired.
  22. Does anyone seriously think we'll get anything for Holcomb in a trade? Either he makes the team or he's cut. We'll get nothing for him.
  23. You were right, we didn't get out of O'Hare until 2 hours after scheduled departure time. I have yet to leave that place on time.
