Josh Allen now has 29 TDs against 6 turnovers in 11 playoff games. 100+ passer rating.
Lamar has 11 TDs, 9 TOs and 81.2% passer rating in 7 playoff games.
If we can find a way to slow Henry, I like our chances of advancing in High Mark.

Last year has no bearing on being MVP this year... (other than voter fatigue).
If you think Lamar's stats are a mirage, you haven't actually watched him play. His plays have been AMAZING. Much more impressive than even his 2019 season. His pocket awareness was absurd this year. So many times he was forced from the pocket and has decided NOT to run it like he used too but then launches amazing TD's instead.
The stats he has earned have been just as impressive as Allen. I think Allen probably should get the MVP, and Lamar is my favorite player ever... I mostly think that because he shouldn't have gotten MVP last year. Was unearned. Probably should have been Dak Prescott. But it's pointless to act like he hasn't been in the same league as Allen with how impressive his play is in the process of getting those stats.Good post. Both guys are very deserving. Lamar with the better stats and the head to head win. No doubt that he is an elite passer now. But I also think he has the better supporting cast. Josh did a ton this year without much elite talent (outside of Cook). Just a very tough vote this year.
Here's to an entertaining, hard fought game next weekend.

Total team victory. Both lines got it done, especially the o-line. All short kicks, but I'd like to give a nod to Bass too. Made all his kicks today.

I'm nervous about the Broncos. Once it's one and done, every team gives me the heebee-jeebies.

Is Dawkins the #1 or #2 tackle in the NFL? Is Brown?
I meant it more tongue in cheek and as a demonstration of the type of circular reasoning you occasionally see people engage in.

Exactly. Josh avoids multiple sacks every week on pressures that would fell every QB not named Allen, Mahomes or Jackson. Nice o-line, but it ain't Joe Gibbs' Hogs.

I kept hearing all mvp talk crap on X for half the year "what do you mean Josh doesnt have any help.. he has the best oline in football." Ok where is that reflected in votes?
And then they'll say, "Spencer Brown only looks great because he plays among the best line in football and protects the most elusive QB in the league. Same goes for Dion Dawkins."
I'm not typically a crybaby or conspiracy theorist, but it sometimes feels like there is a some sort of bias against the current iteration of the Buffalo Bills.

I think Allen is the better player and more valuable to his team, but it is very hard to ignore Lamar's numbers this season. I really can't blame the voters for going in Lamar's direction this season.
I honestly believe that Allen is an all-time great. Top 5-10 at his position. It's wild to think he may never win an MVP or first team all-pro.

We live in Westwood just west of UCLA and it just feels eerie around here. The Hollywood Hills are now also on fire.
Thoughts to everyone impacted.
Go Bills!
I lived in Westwood during undergrad. Blows my mind that they've had to evacuate Santa Monica.

I think it's way too early to judge him and frankly most wrs in general until after their second year. Many make a big jump in year two. There is a lot of potential there, obviously he has good body control and is strong. The lack of separation is something that can't be ignored though, I have watched him all season and it's troubling. Let's see if he improves his route running and if they do more to get him open as time goes on.
I agree with this. Moulds looked like a bust until breaking out in his third year.

He is closer to #2 WR (his stats prior to injury were pacing for 800 yard 50 rec 6 TDs #GabeDavis!) but I still see your point and agree. Even if they resign Cooper who is older anyway Coleman elevating to a role he can be a #1 when called on is big on what moves they do long term for WR or not.
Yes, but Josh made Gabe Davis a "#2 WR", but we saw what he really was in Jax before his injury. And Keon has worse efficiency numbers than Davis did with Josh.
Coleman is light years away from reaching #1 WR status. Just watch that Steve Smith breakdown up-thread.

He needs to make a huge leap between year 1 and 2. Right now his ceiling looks like a number 3 type of receiver. As it stands now, the Bills absolutely need to continue to address the top end of the WR room this offseason.

Would love to see a halfback option with Josh catching a 70 yard TD to cement his MVP.

I agree. This week is essentially a bye. And then Dolphins in January in Buffalo? Arguably another week off.

They aren’t lining up that way at all.The Colts have the Giants next then at home against the Jaguars. They aren’t lining your #7 seed if Denver falls out.
You're right. I retract that. I had failed to look at the remaining schedules of the Colts and Phins. Cincy is still a LONGSHOT to make the playoffs as of today.

Don't get me wrong. Ravens scare me too.

Things are starting to line up where we will have Joe Burrow and company rolling into town on wildcard weekend. That frankly terrifies me with this defense, and I can easily see a one and done postseason in that scenario.

I took it as a pun. After reading your response, I hope I was right. 😬I always play it straight. In that vein, it's possible that a few weeks down the road the Falcons might find that inserting Penix was a huge mistake.

I voted Benford. Guy is a stud. Then either Shakir and Cook as a combo right behind him.

Penix isn't going to grow if you keep him under wraps.

Probably going to get flamed but if there is a second flaw (consistent deep ball being the other) in Josh's game it is these quick throws to WR screens. He really doesn't throw them well. He bounced a ball to Samuel in the Detroit game. It's almost like he doesn't have the ball fully gripped.
These bad throws and Samuel's injuries have hurt him. Shakir took most of the Isiah McKenzie crossing routes. Just not much else for Samuel to do.
Maybe it's been answered already, but he's successfully thrown a bunch of these LOS screens to Shakir this season. I don't think it's a Josh issue. I think Shakir is just far more dangerous than Samuel with the ball in his hands, so these looks are being schemed primarily for Shakir.
