Genuinely asking, do fans like that the Bills rely on them to clear out the stadium?

Or do people find it annoying that a multi-billion dollar franchise doesn't have any plan in place outside of paying fans $20/hr to do it (then those fans turn around & pay to sit in those same seats they just helped clear out)?

I always thought it was a unique & fun show of fan support, but this was the first time I heard a lot of criticism as well.

The vast majority of fans love it and are happy to be out in the community, meeting other people and sharing their love of Bills football.  No one is forcing the fans to do anything.  They are doing it for the community.  And that is what being a Buffalonian is all about.

I don't agree with you often but I agree with this. Why would they hire a DC? Unless I suppose it is a DC title but without playcalling.

I assume just to split up some of the responsibility to take a bit off of Sean's plate - especially with gameplanning.

  3. I feel pretty relaxed going into this one.  We've gone toe-to-toe with the Chiefs enough over the past few years to know what's in store.  It's going to be a hell of a game and a tough victory for whomever moves on to the AFC Championship.  And in some ways, given our start and the injuries to the defense, it feels like we are playing with house money at this point.

The thing that stands out to me is that our passing offense simply looks to be "behind the times".

When I look at the passing offenses of Sean McVay, Matt LaFleur, Kyle Shanahan, Mike McDaniel, Bobby Slowik -- so, basically, all of the Shanahan coaching tree guys -- I see creativity, cheat motions, orbit actions, variety, legal pick plays, and receivers who are schemed wide open.

When I look at the passing offense of Dorsey and now Brady, I see more or less static formations, less creative personnel usage and deployment, less variety, and much less of receivers being so open that you wonder "how the heck did that happen?". To be clear, it's not that there's NONE of this stuff. This offense does, at times, show some of these things. It's just that if you watch it over the totality of a whole game, and then compare it to the Texans, Rams, Packers, etc, it just doesn't seem nearly as dynamic and modern.

I don't believe this is something that can be fixed in-season. I'm hoping the Bills do a thorough offensive coordinator search in the offseason. Let Brady interview and give his vision for the offense going forward. If he wins the job, then so be it, but don't just hand it to him. I want more modernity and creativity in the Bills offense. I want to see what Josh Allen would look like in a truly forward-thinking offense that makes life easier on him.

I generally agree, but we've seen more of this stuff since Brady took the reins.  There was almost zero motion under Dorsey.  I'm guessing Brady has more of this up his sleeve, but it's hard to install late in the season.

Weird a bunch of people told me I was a fool that Bernard could possibly play this week after it was announced it was a sprain.

I was certain he had broken his fibula based on his reaction on the field.  He seemed to be in intense pain.  But ankle injuries can be incredibly painful in the moment as well.  I remember injuring my ankle in basketball practice in high school and I was certain I had broken it.  I was screaming on the floor that I had broken my ankle.  Went to the ER that night and it turned out to be just a high ankle sprain.  I hit it with the old ice bucket for the next few days and I was back in practice a few days later and played in games by the following week.

Meniscus, hit it with Cortisone and lidocaine and play each week. Go do a clean-up after we win the Superbowl.

I tore my meniscus, decided against surgery, and once the swelling subsided after a few days, I was back to my normal routine (running, golfing and basketball).  If it isn't a full tear, I can see Benford playing the remainder of the season.

An X-ray does not necessarily me a broken ankle.  An X-ray is a tool to look inside and can see dislocated bones, etc.

I have had more than 10 X-rays on my foot with no broken bones but doctors keep taking them.

Reminds me of episode on M*A*S*H where Hawkeye went loco again because doctors were getting paid to take X-rays.

    His diagnosis more clearly broken.

Enjoy your fine from the league.  Better to have mother, brother, etc say these things for you.

They're really whining about the refs?  I didn't think the refs played much of a factor yesterday at all except for on the two fumble rulings, and I think they eventually got them both right.  Is he just whining about the borderline non-call on the Dane play when they were already basically out of it?

What irks me, is that he doesn't seem to play with any intensity. And he was a leader in the past, not just a star player, but a leader that set an example.

I don't believe he trusts the knee yet.  Effort has never been a problem with Von throughout his career.

He showed some flashes late in the game yesterday.  Let's just cross our fingers that he takes a big leap in the next couple of weeks and can provide us with a little juice if we make it to the SB.

  9. Yesterday, after watching the block and the shank, and then also thinking back to the misses vs the Giants and Eagles earlier in the season, my knee jerk reaction was that Bass seriously needed to be replaced, maybe as soon as this week.  But, for the most part, this is another case where perception does not equal reality; at least as far as how his performance this season stacks up against his historical averages.  He's having a slightly down year, but if you look at his percentages they are not far off his career averages.  And this season is actually tied with his best on 50+ yard attempts (4/6).  One thing bringing his overall FG% down is the lack of attempts from 20-29 yards, which is really due to us being such a superb red zone team.  In 2021, his career year at 87%, he hit 15/15 inside 30 yards.  This year he's only attempted four field goals in this range (4/4). https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BassTy00.htm

Still, yes, he does "look" shakier, but maybe that's a bit of projection on our part due to recency bias.
