  1. It's a long season... IF we lost to go to 6-3 there are plenty of games left. I could see 12-5 in that scenario, or even 11-6 if Allen misses a few weeks. Either way, we get into the tournament.
  2. We need Allen's elbow 100% for the playoffs. It almost doesn't matter where we play or who we play. Yes, we WANT home playoffs games, and that bye is huge. But a close to 100% Bills team is going to beat anyone anywhere. If I play a 1:1 basketball game vs LeBron James to 20 points (using 2's and 3's, not the silly 1 point per basket rule some use) it aint going to matter where we play, I'm going to lose. I bet I'd score 4-6 points though!
  3. injuries We lost our all pro safety tandem, haven't had our top CB, and lost our playmaking beast of a LB in Milano. That taking 4 of the top defensive players off the field and replacing them with a bunch of rookies, who have played about as well as you could expect, maybe better. But that's a lot. Subtract 4 of the top players on any defense in the league and it's going to hurt.
  4. I truly believe it's a lack of focus that accounts for sloppiness and a missing "edge" Same thing happened last year. Remember the Schopps of the world gleefully having the stat geeks on to talk about Allen's "regression"? He was good, but there were stretches where it got a bit ugly and seemed like the offense was broken. Then, the playoffs started and we never seemed to punt and Allen and the offense looked unstoppable. IMO, we're to the point where most regular season games are games to get through without injuries and a W so that we can get to the REAL games.
  5. Allen not tweeting or saying anything worries me a bit, and IMO it's likely because the extent is just not known yet.
  6. Good lord Dalton
  7. I guess I had no no idea what Cousins is like but I wouldn't have guessed this persona
  8. Every single play is a Lamar run Falcons had a decent shot based on their schedule but their QB throws for like 50 yards a game
  9. Yeah that does give me hope. I was certain that yesterday would be his big turnaround but he was terrible and the Rams didn't play defense or even try to cover the WR that last drive. Bucs are bad and their HC is awful. Still... Hopefully they are at least 4th seed so they get Dallas or SF or someone like that round 1 They should have stayed with Winston. At least he made plays
  10. Stupid Saints... I thought they might have a chance to do something useful and win that division, ending any chance of a Brady Super Bowl. Oh well, honestly that was a little greedy to hope for anyway. Gotta have at least once super high stress playoff game to get through
  11. Dalton threw that right into Campbell's arms
  12. did it heal up eventually (no pain and no loss of function/strength)?
  13. Yup. Either say it or don't. This "I'm trying to be brave" crap from Lake Erie is just look at me type stuff that makes him look foolish. I won't be able to listen to him desperately trying to talk over other hosts on WGR in order to get air time the same way
  14. I don't understand where all that doom and gloom came from based on these latest reports That's the type of thing that destroys their credibility going forward. I was like "oh oh" because it sounded like some people who might be in the know were privvy to something they shouldn't have been and therefore couldn't say anything (but sort of were anyway) Now they're all firmly in the internet troll camp
  15. I know the team will be smart with Allen... we have to think long-term Hopefully Rap sheet is correct and it's something that will heal up over time with some rehab
  16. Will the UCL heal up after several weeks and be back to 100% or is it the type of thing that will remain an issue until surgically repaired?
  17. Josh's previous timeline with (maybe) the same injury I'm not expecting season-ending news.
  18. Mostly his previous UCL sprain. My worry is more long-term, as that's 2 UCL's in 3 seasons. I hope the damage isn't worse. I have no idea if the UCL heals the same way an ankle sprain would
  19. When it comes to elbow injuries, especially re-injuring that same UCL, my worry is Tommy John and his arm never being the same and not playing until 2024. So 4-6 weeks out would be amazing news. Perspective I suppose
  20. My main concern is injuries. If we had our guys (Poyer, Hyde, White, Milano, Rousseau, maybe even Allen) at 100% or close to it I wouldn't be worried. But we lost the top S tandem in the NFL and a top 10 CB plus a playmaking LB and a promising young pass rusher. That is a lot to overcome, and now we're worried about Allen's elbow.
  21. Most likely outcome is Allen missing 4-6 weeks, IMO That's a gut punch, but if we can win 3/6 and get to 9-5 when he returns after 6 weeks off we'll have a shot to make a run in the playoffs Not sure that's "sick to my stomach" type news though. It's bad, but typical NFL stuff The more important question is will the sprain heal in 6 weeks or will it still be an issue?
  22. I had no idea that Fox was on that staff... This is incredible though! LOL
  23. There is no blueprint. Last season the same thing happened, and once the playoffs started Allen and the offense were unstoppable.
