Talk about a pivotal SB in terms of legacy... If Seattle hands off to Lynch and scores a TD there Brady is 3-3 in Super Bowls at that point, Wilson has 2 rings back to back with wins over Manning and Brady in the SB and likely this is a slam dunk. Instead, after the game Brady was undeniably the GOAT to everyone and you couldn't question it. With Atlanta and Seattle wins Brady is 5-5 in SBs which still I guess makes him the GOAT but it would have been easier to take.

People around the league are complaining a little bit? Lol I read that and picture Harbaugh walking over to a noticeably crestfallen McDaniel at training camp. "What's wrong Mike?" After a long sigh McDaniel lets it all out: "Josh Allen apparently changes protections up in Buffalo." Then after an awkward pause, he adds: "Just bugs me a little bit. That's all. "

The wings seem like a needed item (because it's WNY) but a terrible deal. If you're hungry eating 3 chicken wings isn't going to help. Especially when you can get a chicken parm sandwich or even the stinger for basically the same $!

Garrett finally gets to play in meaningful games, so good for him! Poor Verse was my first reaction... talk about soul crushing gearing up for a possible SB run to going to hopelessness

This Sabres run and how fun it was after basically not following hockey for 10+ years made me realize something. I sort of miss the "innocence" (if that's the right word) of being a fan who just watches the games and enjoys them. This past Bills season was no fun for me. I barely enjoyed it, because I was guilty of consuming all the coverage I could on WGR, posting here all the time, arguing with people, getting dug in on certain points and feeling invested in being right... With the hockey team I couldn't have named more than 5 active players before the playoffs and it was cool that Lindy was coach again. My opinion was simple: "Go Sabres!" and it was exciting, fun, and I had zero knowledge or opinion of coaching, who to sign or not, or anything else. It was just fun to root for the team and go for the ride. Now, I am a much bigger football fan overall, so that will be harder, but I want to pull back on my 24/7 immersion in all things Bills/NFL and just view the games as something fun to enjoy instead. Lots of businesses learned during COVID that they could charge a lot more for their products and there would still be insanely high demand. NFL saw that and made all these streaming service deals in the years since. Exclusive game here, exclusive playoff game there, Wednesday before Thanksgiving package rumored, Black Friday package on Amazon/Netflix/Peacock (I lost track at this point!), Wednesday/Friday games in South America or Australia now... Meanwhile we all go "THAT SUCKS!" and then "where do I subscribe to ________?"

It's hilarious to me that the owner blasted this player in a press conference discussing how people should stop blaming Beane for bad draft picks and now there is a full PR press to sell him as an exciting part of the offense. It makes me think that originally there was no way Brady was going to be the HC, or that Terry is just that clueless, or that nobody was talking to each other. It is incredible, really.

My worries about Brady have nothing to do with how he sounds, or looks or whether he wears shorts and how "cool" he is or isn't. I did not like his work as OC, by and large, so I did not like the hire. For me it's that simple. McDermott had run his course here, that much most people agree on. But I am not in the group that thinks an OC that many here wanted fired is automatically an upgrade over him, either. I worry when I hear that McDermott was too "intimidating" and "too intense." Sure it can be overdone, and he was definitely sort of an awkward personality, but choosing those specific criticisms is odd to me when discussing an NFL coach with the W/L record he has. I get that nobody wants to hear that and a new season is starting and a new stadium is opening and it's time to come on in for the big win, so to speak, so people will rally around the new HC. And that's cool. I am not a Brady fan, simple as that. Time will tell.

It's amazing how self destructive some highly successful people can be. He was seen as an all time coach in football. If he just showed up and wasn't a complete and utter dumpster fire of a boss he might have been ok. Literally everything he did to destroy his career in a handful of months was self inflicted. Not one part of it was football coach ability related.

A lot of what is seemingly paranormal hits when it hits and is not controllable and thus not testable. However, if it is real then it's not "para" normal at all, just a normal, albeit unusual, condition of our existence. The theory in physics that all time exists at once and is always adjusting to current events even though the future technically exists is mind bending but also could explain things like ghosts, EVP, psychic visions, premonitions, de ja vu, and the Mandela Effect, to name a few. OR it's all in our heads. Which story do you like better? I like the one with the tiger.

IMO the psychic meant the 2026 season for the Sabres and the 2026 season for the Bills which ends in 2027. This means a SB win on Valentines Day of 2027 for the Bills and a Stanley Cup win in June 2027 for the Sabres. Due to the way sports leagues structure their championships, plus the cloud of psychic distance and accounting for some razamadazzle, I can see the slight discrepancy there.

I don't even think it's much of a "conspiracy theory" honestly. Beane won, McDermott lost and now he has the power to fully implement his vision for the team and clean up loose ends. It's how business often goes. You want people who are on board especially after this past year. WGR is always free to grumble and gripe but the official team radio show and broadcast is always your Chris Browns and your Tasker types. Sal fit that as well but he was a huge supporter of the guy who lost the power struggle.
