  1. accurate…that’s why it’s so weird to see people make politics and politicians their personalities. like if you’re wearing anything with a politicians name or slogan on it (any party) then you’re ***** weird. these people aren’t our friends.
  2. Honest question…what is happening in this picture? This is photoshopped right? Right?!
  3. as the token homosexual here…I don’t truly believe Trump gives a ***** about gay rights. however, his rich ultra-religious donors/PACs would love to see gay rights removed. the GOP will absolutely overturn gay marriage and return it to the states, again creating a group of second class citizens in the southern states. AL, MS, TN, AR, etc would move quickly to ban gay marriage. the landslide Trump would have if he told the religious nut bars to ***** off would be insane. but those Jesus dollars are too strong ha. people are making fun of special needs children? ***** ghouls man…
  4. Religion is a ***** plague…to be honest, if Trump didn’t feel the need to capitulate to the religious nuts (all GOP candidates have to) he’d actually be an attractive candidate to me. He can keep his foreign policy, border, and economic policies…but cut the social issue bull#### that the religious whackos make part of his agenda. dude has probably never seen a church service in his life but the evangelicals have such a big voice (and $$$s) that he needs them to win. Ugh, religion sucks.
  5. I thought the slurring was because his dentures weren’t in right or he recently had dental work? Being around stroke victims regularly it didn’t give off that type of impairment.
  6. im probably going to feel dumb for asking this…but there’s a news site called Catturd? God bless lol
  7. Not that I won’t touch it, I just don’t think there’s a strong correlation between reassignment surgery and suicide as much as there’s a stronger correlation around suicide and people who identify as trans in general. I can’t fathom being a teenager and going through gender dysmorphia in today’s culture…your struggle is people politicized and in some areas demonized. It has to be absolutely devastating to a teenager. So you’re implying all people who don’t want children suffer some type of mental illness? That’s your opinion to have, but just want to make sure I’m understanding.
  8. No, I responded, I just choose not to debate that topic as I don’t find trans people deserve the scrutiny they receive from conversations that they’re not directly engaged in. They’ve been around as long as time, and it’s bizarre to me it took until like 2016 to become an issue in our country. Empathy has always been my approach with trans issues, bc I cannot imagine the feeling and mental torment of feeling you were born in the incorrect body. The dysmorphia sounds awful and not something anyone would wish for. Too many times the trans issue is being discussed without having trans people involved in the conversation. It’s also disheartening to see how much of the vitriol is aimed at trans women as opposed to trans men. Both are valid expressions of gender. The messaging in this topic also seemed to somehow get conflated with children. I am not a medical professional or a parent and I do not envy the decisions they make when raising a trans child. Express yourself however you would like. Because children do suck ha…am I not allowed to share that opinion? Loveeeeee your children and enjoy every moment with them…just don’t be offended if other people are not particularly fond of children. It’s ok to not have children.
  9. good suggestion! The process is fairly easy in NY as well, I know in 2020 they were looking for people pretty aggressively. Good way to get out there and participate in democracy!
  10. I believe her campaign committed to having them available prior to the DNC. However, if it’s a bulleted format like the Trump policy on his site…is it really even worth? They all just read of jargon, buzzwords, and very few specific actionable items. For an example, how hard is it for either campaign to come right out and say “Yes, we support a ceasefire” or “No, we don’t”…instead it’s all political work salad.
  11. I mean, it’s kind of a dumb talking point. Is it really that far fetched that a wealthy man from NY could eventually lease or purchase a deceased wealthy man’s plane (also from the same area)? Theres nothing to see here, just seems like nothing but an attempt to try and stir online fervor and fuel useless conspiracies.
  12. Who is we? I’m sorry you process things that way, hopefully you’ll become a little less jaded, life really isn’t that long. while statistically they may not be relevant to everyone, they’re probably more important to your local community than a presidential election so def stay engaged and recruit others! didn’t realize this place was filled with so many non-WNYers.
  13. I was referring to TB, and while some of these are illegals, there are some that are asylum seekers escaping war torn lives. They have an immense benefit to our country, I highly recommend checking out the work our local WNY Refugee Center does. We’ve had a really strong group of Burmese refugees in WNY that are cultivating a resurgence on the West Side and being placed into carpentry, food & bev, and light manufacturing jobs that were previously unfilled in WNY. But def protect yourself and your kids against TB, not a disease to play with.
  14. dont give the internet that much credit, this hellhole (the internet in general) will never be a positive and engaging place l.
  15. that’s very true! I was looking through old posts and even with Bidens policy in action it didn’t seem like much discussion. Mostly Twitter shares with no context. The “share” feature has permanently damaged our ability to converse I fear…it’s just too easy to hit share then present your own thoughts and engage with others. sir, your engagement was literally all Twitter shares and memes, so I responded with such thinking you were putting on an act. ive known see that isn’t an act you put on, which is COMPLETELY OK but you’re doing yourself a disservice by not articulating your own thoughts and instead using Twitter mouthpieces.
  16. dude this is wild in here…are there literally any people who engage in actual policy talk here?
  17. That record rules…365 and Spring Breakers are incredible but Obama/Harris jumping on the Charli train makes it pretty cringey. But I guess, point made?
  18. yikessss…this could be very bad those not vaxxed against TB.
  19. I truly enjoy seeing both sides, and I’m critical of all politicians regardless of affiliation. I just see a ton of stuff on here that looks like propaganda for both sides, it’s very weird behavior.
  20. Just curious, new to this part of the forum…but is it always just shares, memes and reposts from both sides? Theres very little policy talk, and even less talk about actions that can be taken in our local communities. Is this just a pissing match? I’d love to see more people share about local elections and WNY orgs that could use assistance. For those looking to help in our local community, I highly recommend both the Journey’s End Refugee Center and the Buffalo City Mission…both orgs have an opposite political allegiance but do invaluable work.
  21. Not sure man, but feel free to keep tabs on me! Enjoy the day!
  22. what is this? why not spend your time being productive and go phone bank for a local representative that aligns with your views or volunteer for a local org you support? God bless…
  23. any context to this one? What got 1 billion views? That’s seriously impressive for ANYTHING to get that type of exposure.
  24. is there any data behind this? Nothing against you, but it’s just so frustrating seeing what social media has done to us as a culture. Anyone with a keyboard is now a data scientist, I just don’t get it.
  25. Obama laid the blueprint for how to ultilize social media (but at the time it was much more limited than what we have now). In 2016 Trump was able to use meme culture and 4Chan misinformation to invigorate his base, which was incredibly smart, if not morally dubious. It got to the point where memes were actually guiding the mainstream news narrative (remember when Hillary was reportedly dying bc she was coughing lol). Hillary lost bc everyone hates the Clintons and well, a lot of middle America dreads seeing the day a female is President. (Ya know, they might get wonky around that time of the month with the nuclear codes or whatever BS). Trump is very smart going after the online males 22-38, this why you see him courting streamers and b-list hip hop stars. This plan is well thought out, however I think the demographic is generally too small to help him win. However, I could be wrong and we’ll see the largest young male turnout ever, who knows?
