  1. I thought there were more knocks on his injury history, issues with being in shape, maintaining his weight (too light go figure), and attitude issues.
  2. He's more of a 2 year starter, and measured only 6'1" at the Senior Bowl. I don't think Upshaw has the size to play DE or the ability in space to play OLB in a 43 as an everydown player. He seems to be a perfect fit as a 34 OLB. I wouldn't hate it if he is the pick, but I'd be concerned about how they would plan to use him.
  3. I would say the Bills need an LT because they one they had starting last year is a free agent.
  4. Peyton's contract: http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/1493/peyton-manning He'll have been paid the $54.4M guaranteed through the option bonus that's due 3/8/12. So there will be 4 years $35.6M, all non-guaranteed, remaining on the contract. Not that this is at all likely.
  5. I don't believe the $25M number that you're quoting for their cap space is using the "cash to cap" method that you're then applying a potential Williams contract to. All this is likely meaningless though because the chance of him wanting to come here over some other team is probably less than 1%.
  6. Hines is now playing like some bum who fell off the back of a cabbage truck.
  7. The bills use a cash to the cap system, it appears as though the site linked determines players cap numbers amortizing their bonuses (prorated bonus column). So the numbers from this site showing 25 or so million in space may actually be no where near the real numbers the bills are operating with. It's the higher of the calculated value or 120% of his prior yr salary
  8. Rollover is new with new cba
  9. His arms are short, same as upshaw, and that concerns me as to his every down ability as a down lineman. I think both will be better off at OLB in the pros. I certainly wouldn't describe them as twigs however.
  10. CBS has him going late 1st rnd http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1664154/rueben-randle
  11. Don't apologize, just share where your numbers are from. Also cap space from last year now carries over to this year. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/141339-the-2011-cba-has-a-salary-cap-carry-over-clause/
  12. NFL numbers aren't publicized, so what they have under the cap is unknown. Also there are multiple ways of calculating a teams cap number, so the cap room that you may see on one site may be accurate, but may not be in the fashion that the bills determine their cap.
  13. Barnett was pretty good this past season. Dwan Edwards is a guy you can rely on, will not make a huge impact but that is not the nature of his position.
  14. Isn't that what they're doing now? They've signed 3 or 4 guys each of the past two offseasons. I expect them to do the same this year as well.
  15. That's not accurate, it's around $9.4M. Franchise tag for Vincent Jackson would be around $13M as it would be his second year in a row being tagged and therefore he's due a 20% raise from his previous years salary. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d8247df3a/article/franchisetag-values-will-be-down-across-the-board-in-2012
  16. I suppose one could lineup at safety also, point is it's not very conventional. Wouldn't be gap sound.
  17. Thanks
  18. Tried to search but no luck, got a link? Never mind got it http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/playerbreakingnews.asp?sport=NFL&id=3183&line=227677&spln=1
  19. Umenyiora's not a free agent either. Top FA DEs include M Williams, R Mathis, C Campbell, C Avril or J Abraham. http://www.footballsfuture.com/2012/fa/dl.html Of course this is before guys start getting resigned or franchised.
  20. They both can't play the 3 tech, one will play shade or 1 tech (likely Williams), the other the 3. I'm guessing this is supposed to be Kiwanuka? He's not a free agent.
  21. Too much of an injury risk, PASS.
  22. Hernandez had positive drug test at the combine
  23. TBD myth Troup had no injury issues going into the draft. You've written this multiple times, and every time its still untrue.
  24. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/historical/1244303 So he had only began running in January when the draft was in April, the only thing teams had to go on was his 2008 season. Good pick by the Pats*, but very risky.
  25. They were playing a 46 under Gregg Williams, he was supposedly going to be a pass rushing OLB.
