  1. Good gracious this kid is impressive as a communicator... Been trying hard as hell not to like him in the 1st... This makes it hard, tho...
  2. in the 2012 draft, during the run on QB's, NE had the 21st, and 25th pick.. They took Chandler Jones, and Dont'a Hightower respectively.. That alone Set them up on D for years to come... While our circumstances aren't the same QB-wise, I think the depth at positions like DT DE and LB is comparable. There is GOOD depth there... Da'ron Payne, and Rashaan Evans could be a move that makes us right on D, at least.
  3. Honestly, I think he does deserve consideration... Just not in Rd 1... Trusting your mom, and putting her in charge of you business affairs are two completely different things, John... Ans yah, I'd prefer the face of my franchise be able to carry on an adult conversation... -Even a brief one.
  4. Setting mom up as your agent because you want to keep your entire rookie salary seems a little ass-hattish.... Then there's the whole public speaking thing... Outside of his natural abilities, how coachable is this kid?
  5. So... a kid who couldn't play for a big 10 doormat, can START in the SEC? -Doesn't make any sense... Not doubting your creds, but something's missing. -Gonna need to check out his combine.
  6. Played good enough for somebody to make him a starting SEC QB... -And get a combine invite, despite you protests.... 60% completion percentage and only 2 picks his senior year... Yah, -you're definitely exaggerating.
  7. Awful is complete exaggeration but whatever.. Kid played in a RB focused, pro-style offense at LSU... Didn't throw a lot... No real eye-popping stats. Seems mature and focused... I'd like to see how he does at the combine.
  8. I really like Chark and Cedrick Wilson as WR's... However, Danny Etling, and Brett Rypien deserve at least some rcognition for this production as well... Etling, IMO, is a day-3 steal in this draft.. Rypien, is playing another year at BSU, but the kid has played some great football.
  9. Maybe that's why he doesn't give a s__t.
  10. Jackson leaves college with no diploma, more interceptions, and a worse completion percentage than Colin Kaepernick... If you're awestruck by that, I could make you chase a laser-pointer.
  11. True... And here's the statement again.... Which is STILL bullsh_t... For whatever reason. (Played longer, etc..)
  12. Hm. -Doesn't sound half bad... As long as you get away with not taking Jackson at 21 or 22... If you can't beat 'em, -change the subject. From a cumulative body of work standpoint pre-draft Lamar can't touch pre-draft Kaepernick... If there wasn't all this money on the table, I'd recommend Lamar stay in school.
  13. You burglarized a conversation but got stuck in the chimney. Here's what I said Re: Jackson I was being general on purpose, and I wasn't alone because: Which, even generally speaking, is total bullsh_t... Anyway, that's when I pointed out: Kaep also threw less INT's than Jackson did in college, but the point was made... Cumulatively, Kaepernick accomplished way more than Jackson leading up to the draft. To your other point: The real question is, "who played for Nevada"? Besides Kaepernick, Virgil Green, and Rishard Matthews, Nevada had BUPKIS for talent on that roster. Yet in 2011, they managed to supplant a juggernaut in Boise State, -embarrass a Pac 12 mainstay in Cal, and out-duel a Boston College defense that featured Mark Herzlich, and future 1st rounder Luke Kuechley...
  14. Yah.. We agree on your "he won a Heisman" bullsh_t being laughable.
  15. You know how many BUSTS own a heisman? Sh_t, they gave Manziel a Heisman... Doesn't mean jack squat... Kaepernick passed for more yards with a higher comp % Kaepernick threw way more touchdowns. Kaepernicck rushed for more touchdowns, Kaepernick GRADUATED with a degree in business management And, this was all after being drafted by the Cubs as a pitching prospect! Pretty ridiculous and reprehensible if you ask me..
  16. If I'm the Bills, -hell yes... With 2 first rounders in my pocket, I'm already sitting pretty... I'd certainly take a risk in Rd. 2 if I still needed a QB and I really thought I could make Jackson into something... It certainly wouldn't be a terrible pick there. And to clarify, what I actually said was NOT EVEN 1/2 of what Kaepernick was.
  17. In what universe? Marvel? -Or DC?
  18. When I think of Lamar Jackson, I think of a shiny bronze bust in the bust HOF... He's not even 1/2 of what Kaepernick was coming into the draft, and I consider them very similar stylewise... STAY AWAY unless he's there in the 2nd...
  19. I can't believe someone actually thought we were "far along".... -I sure didn't. McDoomed must do more than state the obvious here... He's got an owner who believes in him... A GM he knows and understands... And, as much as I hate to reflect on it, -A wildcard football team... That's should be more than enough to build on... Git R done McD.... NO EXCUSES.
  20. So, a life in politics better suits him?
  21. It's a move that could turn alot of organiztions off... -And Maybe that's the point... Kid DOES NOT want to end up in Cleveland.
  22. And it wouldn't be his fault, IMO... Lamar Jackson is being MADE a bust by the talking heads that over-hype his ability... The kid is AT BEST a late 2nd, -Early 3rd round pick... He's got a powerful arm, but weird mechanics all the way around... A muscular, but slight frame... Doesn't know how to protect himself as a runner... Inaccurate as a passer.. -It just seems unfair to take this kid in the top ten... Him , AND Josh Allen should stick around until at least the late 2nd.
  23. I like how Ward always turns around to track, and make plays on the ball... Kid can't be out-worked... 5' 10" 191lbs is small, but Vontae is only 5' 11"... Most mocks I've seen have Denzel between 12-16... Lotta talent there. It's the tree-trunk legs... Reminds me of Trent Richardson... SO MUCH hype and high expectations... Barkley's got BUST stamped all over him.
  24. So, he busts out because he' doesn't really have the size to compete at the next level... -Good to know!
  25. All I saw was video of Da'ron benching 460lbs in high school...
