  1. There's heaps of Bills fans in Australia. Mostly because of the teams success of the late 80's early 90's.
  2. Im from Australia been a fan since I 1st saw Thurman Thomas, Jim Kelly and Steve Tasker on tv. I love the history of the team and the blue collar attitude. I love the NFL and the Bills more then any other team in the world and I have never been to Buffalo.
  3. I love Chan's attitude. We should be expecting to win the division. I don't like losing! We were going pretty good early this season. With more depth through the draft and FA why not?
  4. I have a lot of time for Buddy. He is a football guy and I love the way he talks football. As a couple have already posted. He will be cosidered great if he gets us back to the playoffs and contending for a SB. I believe we are on the right track. He has said we build through the draft and place FA where necessary. He has kept his word. If we can sign Williams we can perhaps address other needs at the #10. Buddy has said there is plenty of value at DE/OLB but perhaps not at #10.
  5. I understand what you are trying to say. But I'd rather win then lose. If that means a lower pick in the draft then so be it. You can still get great players lower in the draft.
  6. I think Chan has some big plays particularly designed for CJ. No he is not an every down back. But he has some serious speed. He creates mismatches for the opposition all the time whether in the backfield or lined out wide. Using him smartly as Chan has been beneficial to the team. His YPC are up this year though he probably isn't carrying the ball as much as he would like due to Fred's form. Against Oakland because of his damaging play it actually set up the win when 2 Oakland defenders went straight to CJ which left Nelson wide open. I think as the year goes on he will be used more effectively in Chan's offense. We are seeing a more consistent CJ this year. As to trade him why? Who will replace him with his speed? The upside is too great and I trust Chan to get the best out of him.
  7. I like Chan. Can't believe fans are so worried about what he said? Of course he should be as positive as possible? What would you prefer him to say that we suck? He knows it and I know it that the playoffs this year are a long shot. I like his optimism and his direction in moving this team forward. We have a long season in front of us and it's going to be difficult but his attitude is refreshing even if he is telling porkies.
  8. Seriously we are still talking about this guy? He was a good player (did not live up to expectactions of the number 8 pick) he has moved on and so whould we!
  9. I wouldn't be emabarased. He is a blue collar kinda guy! Just like Buffalo! If he can pass along the commitement and leadership to other players that he showed last year then we will do a lot better this year! He is not Peyton but hey Im glad he is our QB this year.
  10. Agree totally. Give the guys some time. It's not a quick fix situation we want it to be! I want the Bills to win the Superbowl, I wan the Bills to win playoff games but first of all we need a competitive team each and every week. Nix has said we are going to be Draft focussed. Free agents are not going to want to come to a team unless we pay above and beyond. We reportedly tried to do that to Clabo? But he chose to stay for around the same money with a Superbowl contender. A no brainer really for him? Was there any other OL free agent worth the money? I like Buddy and I like Chan. I love there passion! They are football people! They have had 2 drafts and one proper season. It's going to be a tough season to watch. But there are positives to look forward to. Have faith Bills nation.
  11. Hey wether you like him or not? He certainly deserves to be in Hall of Fame. His TE numbers back that up along with his Pro Bowl and Super Bowl rings. Best quote of the night was from Shannon "I'm the only guy in the Hall of Fame who is the second best player in his own family".
  12. Totally agree. BTW, I think I'm one of the rare few who love all three versions of the helmet...the white with the standing, red bison...the white with the charging logo...and the red with the charging logo. I would have been happy with any of them but I really like this one. As mentioned by someone else, they just have a clean look. Very sharp. As long as they didn't radically change the logo or the color scheme, ala the Sabres' "goat head" fiasco, I'd have been happy...loved all of the previous unis, too, except for those decade long Donahoe-era fuglies. I'm really happy they finally put some identifying marks on the jerseys to make them recognizable as the Bills. I would've preferred blue pants for the unis but that's a small complaint...can't have it all, I guess. I love all 3 too. They all great in there own right. Lots of history for good or for bad. But this white helmet with Charging Buffalo is awesome. So much better then I thought it would be. Looks great in photos and can't wait till it's back out on The Ralph!
  13. Coming from the Tampa 2. It was a difficult year watching Buffalo try and run the 3-4. I guess we expect miracles. We didn't have the right players to play that scheme. We were too small in certain positions and we looked confused. With a extra year and adding the right players who can play 3-4 such as Barnett, Merriman (both if healthy)and Dareus. This can only help this transition even more. Coach Edwards is definately under pressure but with Wannstedt in to guide him in the right direction. I think we can definately improve a lot over last year.
  14. What is wrong with all you people? I hate losing as much as anybody else. No the guy is not a RT or LB which we need. Apart from Clabo there was no one really worth going after? Should we blow the bank on a part time RT or LB. Have faith in Buddy trying to build through the draft. We have got rid of some of our bad choices in the draft under previous adminstration such as Whitner and Poz. Yes it will take time and probably too much time for even my liking. I like the players we have drafted the last 2 years. Everyone is expecting miracles. But I like what I see with Chan. No it's not a big agent free signing. But Davis is a depth pick at best. Not going to cost the earth. No harm in seeing what he has to offer.
