  1. Tora Tora Tora. Doesn't give me a good a good feeling.
  2. Knock off the wacky huge loss sacks and fumbles. Put the ball in the receivers hands where they don't have to break stride, reach too far, and otherwise disrupt their ability to run after catch. Thankfully, he seems to know that, as has mentioned it as an offseason goal, but it is an accuracy thing. That's one of the things about Brady. He puts it right on the numbers in the receiver's stride. Josh doesn't, but he usually gets it there. Weird thing, he usually nails the sideline routes like nobody I've seen.
  3. I heard an interview with Thomas last year or so about that song. He said that in order to get the nod to do it, Bacharach and David told him to sing it without any "styling" input. Just do the song, or we'll get somebody else.
  4. BJ gone? I just can't help believin'.
  5. Very cool, and timely, as covid has spiked gardening interest.
  6. Dak could have used a little "arm arrogance" when he threw that pitiful one hop swing pass against us on the fourth and goal Thanksgiving pass. A beauty that.
  7. Not to weaken the astrophysicist's argument, but the Russians and Chinese already know a great deal about our F-18's radar and FLIR systems. They shadow aircraft carriers and have been for decades. It would far more valuable an intel "get" to find out they were operating drones off the SOCAL coast.
  8. You're my aunt! Finally, after all these years, I found you.
  9. James Harris, ex Bill, could get it there. Just always didn't know where "there" was. Kind of like a SCUD missile. Always get airborne, just not sure where it lands.
  10. I have a slightly different opinion. The Bills offense benefits immensely from two components, and it explains a lot of long third down conversions which we've we've all seen and enjoyed, especially since the Thanksgiving Dallas game. First component is Allen getting out of the pocket and buying time towards the sideline. Second is the receivers recognizing the scramble drill and getting open when the initial timing of the play is disrupted. I think the Bills are extremely good at the scramble drill passing offense, and especially Diggs and Beasley. Josh gets them the ball because he has the ability to throw from many arm angles, even if his balls aren't super accurate. So far, works for us.
  11. I'm shorting Star after this press conference.
  12. Been to China recently? Don't try to buy dinner with yen.
  13. I should have mentioned, if you need to replace that part, its a fabric gasket. Ten minute job to replace. Pull the old gasket off, use a chisel/knife/ blade of whatever sort to get the adhesive off, and put the new one on. Let it sit for a day and your back in grilling business.
  14. Not sure about other brands, but I replace the seal on my Primo about every three years. Regular low and slow meals don't cause any wear and tear, but pizza and other things I do at about 500 degrees do. Easy and cheap to find on Amazon or on any user forum for the particular brand.
  15. My response is, I really wish I wasn't behind that guy.
  16. It's very difficult to judge or evaluate IR video from a HUD camera. I've flown many sorties at sea using FLIR and you get some really strange images. Even the accurate ones are suspect unless you know the range and heat source. I doubt one in ten would be able to identify an aircraft carrier at 60 miles using FLIR with appropriate magnification unless you knew what you were looking at. It's an odd, distorted image.
  17. And that doesn't include the Israelis.
  18. The land is of inestimable value. It is simply impossible to value it without regard to Jewish history.
  19. And the Arab world's treatment of the "Palestinians" throughout history is another interesting subject. Only works when they are leveraged against israel.
  20. Plenty of US blood has been lost as the result of Iranian action. A US retaliation against that regime would not involve significant US troops. It would be air, and it would be effective.
  21. Christian Wade can do everything he can do better.
  22. Glad you made your decision and are pleased with it. As I said, I've been cooking on a Primo XL for years, and if there is one bit of advice I would offer, because I think it's invaluable, is to purchase some kind of temp controller. If you want to do long cooks, like brisket, pork butt, or ribs, it is essential that the temp be controlled accurately. Same with turkey/chicken. It is way too much work to actively control it with vent placement, and even then the temps are not accurate. On my Primo, I cook brisket and pork butt at 225. In order to get 225 in the cooking area, where it matters, the dome temp indicates 305. In other words, the dome temp is useless if you care to cook precisely. Controllers are not cheap, my DIGI Q is about $125, but it holds the cooking temp within two degrees without any work, or opening the lid, on my part. I get it stabilized at the cooking temp for 20 mins then don't open the thing for ten hours until done. Pays for itself after about five cooks, and I wouldn't operate without it.
  23. I've owned a Primo XL Kamado for years. I use lump charcoal only, and control the temp with a Diqi-Q controller. Not a cheap combination, but works great and I really enjoy it. I always use a meat thermometer to check for doneness. Those are quite inexpensive and very accurate. I've cooked just about everything in it. Not sure about your non ceramic question. The benefit of ceramic is that they really hold moisture in, as long as you don't keep opening them, which you never have to with a controller for the pit temp and a meat thermometer.
  24. I have an even/odd thing with gas also, but it's octane based. I will only allow the fuel to be an "even" total octane. Sine the choices are 87, 89 or 93 octane, I have developed charts that I carry to blend to three in hundreds of potential volume options so that it averages 88, 90, or 92. Takes a bit longer at the pump, but peace of mind is pricless.
  25. Did a five day thing there as well. Nice place in the desert Southwest, but the new age stuff, to use your phrase is a bit, well a lot, over played, in my view.
