  1. I don't understand this hatred for BB or the Patriots with regards to the Hernandez situation. Teams make mistakes on Personnel. Were you happy with the Travis Henry situation knowing his background and yet the Bills went ahead and made him a 2nd round pick. Teams always think that they can turnaround the life of a player within their system. The Bills have done it and will do it (Please see Derrick Rodgers) and so will the Pats. The 31 teams skipping him doesn't hold water here...In fact even the Patriots passed on him three times before picking him. The Patriots in the past have been successful in changing players with a checkered past. May be Belichek thought he could do the same with Hernandez. However, BB cannot monitor and control 53 players through 9 months and another 80+ players in the remaining 4 months in the off season. One has to actually be happy that BB and the Patriots took a decisive action of cutting ties with such a player right after the day of arrest. May be BB, the Patriots and the NFL have moved well past SpyGate and are not judged by that anymore. Spygate was roughly a decade ago. The Patriots have continued to excel even after Spygate. Let us not put Belichek and Hernandez in the same class of people.
  2. Aaron Schobel.....The guy game everything on the field with ZERO Help from anyone else.....Aaron was and always will be a CLASS ACT! He definitely belongs on that wall
  3. Why? The Colts with almost a new team went 11-5 and obtained a berth in the playoffs!
  4. Who cares about fans...The NFL players have voted him an all-pro every year except the year he was injured. The coaching staff love him. The matter ends there.
  5. And more cuts will come...Brad Smith and Lindell are walking on Thin ice as they enter training camp. Yes.Yes.Yes.Yes.....These players were let go because their skill set was in the decline and their production did not match what they were getting paid or they did not match the scheme run by the new coaching staff. You simply don't want to try to insert a square peg into a round hole!
  6. Agreed. Wrong choice as proof of roster trimming. Lee Evans was a one-trick pony (albeit a good one at that) and his status of being out of the league a year after the trade is a good indicator that it was about talent evaluation and not about the money. It is the same with Mark Anderson. Is he worth 5M a year for the result he produced....The answer was no. Did the coaches see anything different in him compared to the other OLBs...The answer was no...Those two answers made it easy for the Bills to let him go.
  7. Should we hand him a new contract now.....
  8. The problem is that these guys prepare their reports before even getting a chance to look at the players on that day. They will simply report that the Bills will come 4th once again in the 'tough' AFC East !!!!
  9. I doubt anything can beat the OJ Simpson trial. That was something out of the world.
  10. Bill The one big difference that Wood brings to the plate is his ability to provide a pocket to the QB. When Wood plays, the QB has the extra second to throw the ball. When Wood is not in the lineup, the QB feels tremendous pressure from the middle. I don't have any statistics to back it up, but have watched this phenomenon in the actual games. It is good to good to have finesse guards, but if you don't have a center that can give a pocket to the QB, then it is not much use for the current passing game. Kent Hull was more valued on those 90s line than a LT or Guard. I am not saying Wood is reincarnation of Hull, but he is pretty solid.
  11. The Peters case was unique and different than the normal tagging. The Bills had actually given him a contract a few years before and while Peters may have outlived that contract, it was not a contract expiry situation. Parker himself said in an earlier article that something went wrong in that negotiation. Still the Eagles ponied up the money and the draft pick to get him and they have been happy to have an all-pro for the past four seasons.
  12. Their defense has a well established pass rusher in Cameron Wake. They have two pro-bowl DTs playing on that defensive line. There is a *GOOD* reason why they had so many turnovers and I don't understand why you would wave away something like that as something that cannot be repeated. The dolphins defense has been consistent now for a few years. They have also added a pass rusher in the draft. This defensive line can give the Bills the shivers down their spine. On offense this is 2nd year of Tannehill and they have definitely added weapons for him. Wallace is a legit #1 that they lacked last year. He can make Tannehill now a better QB than he was last year. I am a big BILLS FAN, but I think the Dolphins have a better team *RIGHT NOW* than us and it is not a crime to state that.
  13. Or have a go with the Steeler Mascot who was caught for selling drugs!!!
  14. Miami is the wild-card in this division. They have an extremely talented defense and an upcoming offense. They could challenge the Pats for the AFC East crown. I think the Bills will be a year away from that and would depend on Manuel's development.
  15. I am sure if Byrd can get the same charisma as Troy, he can definitely make the big bucks.
  16. And the JAX too. Also, one must not forget the UK connections of current Tampa Bay Owner.
  17. Tim Tebow is another Flutie and both came from Florida!
  18. Or moving the training camp to Picturesque St. Johns!!! And finally::: Just a stinking FRONT OFFICE!!
  19. Some times is a very small chance to find good value. Often, we will continue to find the garbage like Green a few seasons ago.
  20. This is a very similar quote that Mike Tomlin said at the beginning of a season opener against the Baltimore Ravens...That was an electric game...HC can motivate teams aptly. This may be a ploy by Marrone to simply let Rodgers know that he cannot just walk into this team and become a Diva..
  21. May be Maronne felt that our past coaching staff was a big problem with the players not performing up to expectations. May be he chose to not keep incumbents so that the team can get a *FRESH* start. There is nothing wrong with that. Should he have considered interviewing other ST candidates (besides the incumbent). Probably yes. Was it Mandatory...No.
  22. The Special Teams is a big question mark. However, our previous ST coach was not any good. It appeared that DeHaven had lost his golden touch from the 90s and merely was playing defense. Of course, the track record of Crossman is piss poor too. Time will tell if we will get improved play or not. Our coverage teams sucked big time last year,
  23. -1 -1 -1 -1 -1 If we can persevere, we could win 2 games against the Jets, a home game against Miami, Panthers, Bengals, Chiefs (all three at home), @ Browns and @ Jaguars. That is 8 wins that are easily achievable if the team is mentally prepared. (From the Rest, some winnable games would be home vs Patriots, and @ Bucanneers).
  24. The No-punt game... The 51-3 shellacking of the Raiders The 95 playoff win over the Dolphins - which sent Shula into retirement. The 31-0 spanking of Tom Brady and the Patriots in the Season opener. And of course the greatest comeback game of all-time.
  25. Rogers is an immature athlete. Marronne is not going to give him a free ride on the bus. Darrick would have to earn everything at OBD. And he should be thankful for this opportunity.
