  1. I'm rewatching the game now and that exact throw was just made it and it has plenty of zip and was a quick decisive throw
  2. I'm pulling for Cyrus more so than others cause I loved the ability he kid has if medically cleared. However, you can't bust second rounders like that. The second round in today's nfl is more or less an extension of the first in terms of the gap in talent. Especially when you consider how deep this recent class was.
  3. With bradham not being able to suit up week one I think that def helps lock in Johnson
  4. Very good assessment. I would like to add that Watkins obviously left the game early and Mike Williams didn't stay in the game long at all. Removing two key targets doesn't help. Big Bens big play was to his #1 WR. Keep that in mind.
  5. The kid has looked very good throughout the pre season. Given the kid is against backups, however, he is a seventh round backup him self. I'm not saying throw the kid into the starting lineup right away, however, you can't argue that the kid has potential
  6. If you ever watched those Gruden camps, you see him talking to young QBs about the value of checking down and taking what the defense gives you. QBs like Rodgers, Brees, Brady, etc... All utilize it. Heck Kevin Faulk extended his career by at least two years for the pats by being a check down option when the defense blanketed wrs. That aside, Idk why people keep referring to those passes by Manuel as check downs. They really weren't.
  7. I don't know why you would say that, Manuel's arm is the last thing that should ever be questioned.
  8. What's funny is how people are throwing Big Ben on their shoulders because brown (a top ten WR in the league) took a slant to the house on a blown coverage. big bens second td was a beautiful throw but we needed Gilmore to have better coverage on that, regardless the guy has been in the league for ten years now. You shouldn't be the least bit surprised by a quality performance. That aside I think Manuel looks fine. The line wasn't exactly stout which forced the kid to make some forced decisions. However, the one thing I would like to see fixed is how Manuel handles that pressure. I.e. The intentional grounding play
  9. I can understand the frustration from a second round pick whom has two national championship rings, however, I am willing to be more patient. Everyone wants to compare the kid to Henderson, we'll Henderson was a first round talent whom just had various off the field issues. Look at burfict of the bengals or honey badger of the cards, players with elite talent that fall due to concerns. Henderson is every bit the talent we think he can be so to compare the two is unfair
  10. Manuel made some very good passes and made some bad ones. However, if you look at both woods and chandlers stat line from a half of football hard not to be incouraged.
  11. I just don't see them keeping two kickers. I think they will keep an additional LB they sign as an UDFA.
  12. This might end up being a bigger steal than the Glenn pick. Honestly, if teams were scared off every time a player had an injury in their draft year the draft would be pretty dull and boring. Honestly, a lot of players have had injuries that never effected their pro career or at the very least didn't cause them to miss significant time. The game is not for everyone and injuries are part of the nature of the beast.
  13. I don't know what makes you say that. Bayer is nothing more than Lee Smith with better hands. I don't see how Bayer of all the tight ends in this class would be an improvment over what we already have on this roster. I would take Gragg over Bayer seven days a week and twice on Sunday. Ebron is a jack of all trades but those whom don't want him ignore that. Ebron can be lined up anywhere on the field and create mismatches Ebron can block, there is evidence of it. Blieve me the kid can blow up defenders and can get good pad level just does not do it consistently. That is something I firmly believe Marrone could coach up. Ebron has better hands than some want to give credit for. For every drop, there is an outstanding one handed catch or a catch in traffic with a defender drapped all over him. The kid is, at this point more of and athelte than a complete player. I will agree to that but that is one of the reasons for the drops. The kid is not well versed in the route tree and relies too heavily on his athletic ability to make plays. Causes lapses in concentration. Again an attribute that can be coached up. This is why, not only do you have a head coach but POSITION COACHES. I would much rather work with the body kit of a Ferrari than that of a reliable Honda. Maybe you can't put the Ferrari as eaily, but when you do watch out.
  14. If Manuel fails it wont be for lack of trying and work ethic. Everyone knew Manuel was "RAW" coming out of college. The talent and the tools are there but they need to be coached up and developed. Thing is, most players coming out of college have boat loads of talent and ability. Few have the drive and determination to succeed. I feel that is one of the main reasons that Manuel become a first rounder in Buffalo's eyes. You will see QBs of similiar build and similar tool sets like Manuel go later in drafts. The reason Manuel asscended (among other things) was because Buffalo knew that they could get Manuel to that level because he him self will do whatever it takes to get to that level.
  15. As they should be. Spiller played a lot of the season last year hurt. A high ankle sprain is very hard to play through especially at a position that relies so much on agility and burst. I think Spiller will re gain form and a lot of people will be eatting their words about Spiller.
  16. A very good point but I think the left tackle position is just fine. Cordy Glenn is developing nicley over there. I think if Buffalo wants to draft a tackle it will be a right tackle. That being said, yes Watkins is that good. IMO, the kid reaches AJ Green type status. Might not possess certain strengths that Green does but he excells where Green doesn't. You get the ball in Watkins hands and the kid is the most phyiscal WR I have seen in a long time. His speed and agility alone are enticing but like I said you add his power and tackle breaking ability... There is nothing wrong with not wanting to give up picks. I fore one would rather more than less in this class. But Watkins is indeed that good.
  17. I am sorry if I tried to pass off what I was saying as fact. I never said I had a source or that I am writing that I have inside information... 90% of what I say is opinion based and the other 10% would have a link or something to back up what i was saying. Thus, by saying i am sure Nassib is the pick is opinion not fact, In the same regard it doesn't take a whole day to recognize sunshine. The paralleles are there for Buffalo and Nassib and we are the only team being linked to Nassib. Much like the Dolphins were the only team really linked to Tannehill.
  18. But but but matt has a weak arm and wont be able to throw the ball in Buffalo's apparent sub human weather.
  19. Well Green Bay should look to get rid of Rodgers then. Heck, that Tom Brady fella was born and raised in Cali... He will never work out in NE if you ask me... Those Cali kids just don't pan out in the NFL.
  20. I wish I wasn't so sure about it believe me. Look at my avatar lol. However, that being said, I didn't need my post fixed but thank you anyway.
  21. 1) If anything I think the Jets would take Geno Smith 2) Buffalo is taking Nassib regardless of any team's interest in the kid
  22. The Bills need to come away from this draft with Barkley. Then, as the Colts did last draft, add every weapon you can round after round to support the QB.
  23. For the last time man... I'm not on your team.. For anyone that has even seen the Chappelle show.
  24. I wouldn't do that in back to back rounds. Especially when you look at it things from the angle that, we basically drafted our backup QB this year in trading away the pick for TJax. I fore one would love to draft Barkley in the first and then in the 5th someone like Sorensen. Moreover, I would like Buffalo to take Indy's approach to this year draft. They took Luck followed by Fleener, Allen, Hilton, Ballard, a DT, then Brazill... They basically focused their entire drat around getting weapons for Luck. If Buffalo does take a QB at #8, they need to follow suit and get as many weapons for the kid as possible. Do not Sam Bradford the kid and leave him on an island with subpar talent to try and work with.
  25. I don't think it helps things that Murphy last night was saying on his radio show that he doesn't think the Bills are very high on Barkley.
