  1. I thought with he release of MW & EM we were like $10-12 mil under the cap. But I guess EM has not yet been formally cut either. Still, with Sam's cut, we should be like at least $8-10 under as far as I knew
  2. From WGRZ's site today, this can't help building a stadium: Buffalo Tops List of Cash Strapped Cities State Comptroller Alan Hevesi analyzed 61 cities outside of New York City and found that Buffalo was the most fiscally stressed metropolis. Buffalo stress
  3. That's much more likely that what I posted
  4. So long as we are a winner, and my ticket prices & taxes don't increase, I'm OK with it. But don't count on it
  5. No, it was Lancaster. Walden avenue, 1/2 mile east of Transit road
  6. You know that Cottrel stadium would have been long gone too as it was only going to be about the size of the Astrodome. We would have had to have built something more in line with today's needs as far as suites and size. That Cottrel stadium would be way too small for today's NFL
  7. I believe his estate settled for like $6-7 million in the end. And he was dead way before he ever saw the money. Maybe it killed him, the stress of it all. His suit was all about wanting all the future earnings, and future earnings of additional development he said he would have done. IE: the hotel, the mall, the restaurants, etc, and over decades they would have grossed $$$ so I want all that which could have been. He got like 1% of his original suit, and legal fees probably killed that
  8. See my problem with all this is that stadium construction creates some temporary good jobs, but anything after that is low-paid part time work. Most people go to the stadium, enjoy the game, and leave after that. Not sure what that would do for the city. Lastly, I believe the stadium doesn't create wealth in Buffalo, it just re-distributes it. So what if businesses move from the suburb to the city. Doesn't create anything new. And if a new stadium is necessary to create more revenue, well where does that revenue come from? There is only so much in the area, and only so much to be spent on sports. If a new stadium means my tickets go from $720/yr to $1,000, well I walk. And if suites go up 50%, I'm sure many suite holders would walk too
  9. When did it go UP?!?!?!
  10. You beat me to what I wanted to reply. $500 mil is probably an under estimate too! How about taking $500 mil and use that as incentives to bring businesses and jobs to WNY
  11. V Davis looks great in those combine work-outs on NFL Access. But we have our TE, and we need line help much more K Everett
  12. Yeah, he's not the same guy, and he seems to get hurt more now too
  13. Yeah, I know, but it is what it is
  14. Agreed, but the other guys are not even average. Replace then first. Well not Preston or Peters, keep them Geez, some movie is on TBS now with Alicia Silverstone. What a body!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. RW is going to want bigger $$$$ and be a fraction of keeping Eric M. Besides, I would be suspicious that RW's success is more because he has Manning throwing to him , than RW is great
  16. That's right. Teague was a whipping boy much as Glen Parker was in the 90's. He is better than than most would believe. As good as any OL guy we got. And losing him just creates another hole on a team that has a lot of them. Gandy is average at best, Chris V can't stay on the field, MW sucks along with Bennie A, and Preston & Peters are in-experienced. Keep him!
  17. I'd rather have his defensive co-ordinator come back to Buffalo
  18. Kind of hard to judge a guy until someone can consistently get him the ball. Still, I think he can become very good and has shown flashes. Wish he was bigger though like a TO or Moss
  19. To be brutally honest................yeah
  20. I would rather have a killer than wins a Super Bowl than a killer than wins nothing = OJ
  21. After that Edmonton game, I always thought the idea of a game at RWS would be great. I'd go for sure BTW, there are 6 guys next to my Bills seats that come down from Toronto for every game. They're OK, every game at least once, for a cheer they start yelling "GO LEAFS GO"
  22. The most important position on the clubs is goalie and QB. The Sabres have a STUD!!! Ryan Miller, if he progresses more, may make us forget about Dom. The Bills have JP, and we don't know how good he will be. But so far, not much Vanek looks like he is going to be great, again another guy if he keeps progressing. He may very well in 1-3 years be the top guy on the team, other than Miller
  23. My view on fixing the games: 1) The conspiracy would have to be so wide-spread, it would impossible to keep it secret 2) The Colts and Pats were the AFC media darlings. If the NFL was fixed, they would have gotten in before Pitt 3) Go to other team's message boards on any Monday during the season. I swear every team's fan base believes all the calls were directed against them and the opposition got all the breaks
  24. It's interesting how decisions play out in the long run. How at the time they look great or bad, and turn out the opposite. I remember being in the Jim Kelly club party on draft day (2002?) when they took that stud OL guy Mike Williams, anchor for a decade. Then minutes later followed up with the QB to take us to the SB in Drew. Guess not on both moves Conversely, D Regier lets arguably our 2 best players in Satan & Zhitnik go, and look where we are. Probably no cup this year (too young), but in 1-2 years they should be a force to take it all
