Is Chad Kelly not Jim Kelly incarnate?
Jauronimo replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chad would indeed have a big support network here, just like Patrick Kane. You need that kind of support if you're going to beat up cabbies and carry home drunk chicks. -
Then there is the issue of tie breakers. Some studies have suggested it may be beneficial to lose to NFC opponents.

I had a teacher in jr high tell me that Korea wasn't really a war. She was in the military and asked if any of our family had served. When I answered, she dropped that knowledge bomb on me. It was only one of the largest military conflicts in human history, but since the U.S. never formally declared war, it doesn't count. I'm sure the Koreans and Chinese will be interested to know.

Is Chad Kelly not Jim Kelly incarnate?
Jauronimo replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
More like stereotyping people who leave the stands and run on to the field during highschool football games to participate in brawls, which I think is a pretty safe practice. If Kelly is going to succeed in the NFL, its not going to be in Buffalo. On a scale of 1 to Patrick Kane playing in Buffalo, I think the notion of Chad playing pro ball in his hometown falls somewhere between Chernobyl and Water World. -
Tyrod last games a bill, will be against the BENGALS

Why do so many of you want to be in on the ground floor of stupidity and personal embarrassment? Is there a premium associated with being the first one to champion such a ridiculous take? TBD is full of closet idiots that could serve as a fine example for you moving forward. These people rarely post, and when they do, they stay within themselves and avoid making a spectacle. As a result, we are largely unaware* of their breathtaking idiocy and the unfathomable depths of their ignorance. in time, that could be you. You don't have to self-declare your staggering deficiency at every opportunity. *Except for DC Tom who knows just how dumb we all are. -

What were we doing the last 4 years? -
I didn't see any suggestions to revamp or improve. I saw a dimwitted and heavy handed "fire everyone! It couldn't get any worse! I gots perspective since I'm 23 and have watched significantly less losing football than the rest of the board and I'm fed up!". What value do you find in these types of rants? I've read hundreds of these poorly conceived, reasoned, and written knee-jerk diatribes void of nuance or meaningful analysis. It can always get worse. Anyone paying attention for the last 17 years should be intimately familiar with that fact.

I think Jim is just a bit past his prime. I do think we should trade Ole Miss a 4th round pick for Chad Kelly and a backup guy for depth, however.

But if we bring Watkins back then we can't bring back AW and Shaq has to go back on IR, right? Was Watkins even designated to return in the first place??

Things I overheard while boyst was voting: "Sir, you've been in there for 35 minutes" "Someone smells like cow s@#$!!" "Sir, its a polling booth not an outhouse" "Sir, you need to put your pants back on or we will not let you vote" "Sir, I do not care if you are a farmer, you need to put your pants back on"
-
I'm not going to go back and read this whole thread, so pardon me if its already been asked, but doesn't putting Aaron on IR with a possibility to return mean we can't bring back Watkins and Shaq??? If so, that's a bad move by Whaley. I thought Shaq looked good last week.

I'm concerned that he may kill himself like Dareus did. -
Freudian slip or autocorrect, that's an interesting mistake.

Disappointing day, but after careful consideration...
Jauronimo replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
True. But I think this year more than so than in past seasons, less separates the middle of the pack from the top. The only team I see that looks capable of winning out and marching to a super bowl is New England. Cleveland, Chicago, San Fran are clear cut losers. I am still having problems believing that Carolina is as bad as their record. After that, I don't see many teams that represent a de facto bye week. -

I agree. The Pats are the closest thing to a complete team this year. Every other team has glaring weaknesses and question marks: Seattle - Russel Wilson is playing hurt and it shows. They're struggling to put up points and are not the same team we've seen the last two seasons. They continue to win (or not lose) by the narrowest margins. Minnesota - Their offense is garbage and they just lost to a rookie QB and an up and down Iggles team. Denver - See Minnesota. Great defense(not as good as last year) but they turn the ball over on offense and who knows where their points are coming from week to week. Picksburgh - Big Ben is hurt, mounting injuries (suspensions) at skill positions and their defense is weak. Even prior to Big Ben's injury they were crushed by the Iggles 34 - 3. Dallas - Starting a rookie at QB and winning. Lets see how Dak finishes the season with more film out there. They have impressive wins against Cinci and Packers but there are major question marks surrounding both of those teams. Atlanta - Softest team in the league. Just lost to an underrated San Diego team who normally finds ways to lose. They have elected not to play defense again this year. Oakland - They play about as much defense as Atlanta and have squeaked by some pretty average teams in shootouts. They're one or two plays away from being the Chargers. Iggles - Playing tough D but they're starting a rookie QB who is coming back down to earth lately. Impressive win vs the Vike but not so impressive losses to the Skins and Lions who have been up and down all year. Green Bay - Rodgers has not looked like himself this year. They're now starting WRs and Kansas City's 10th string RB due to injuries. The Rest - I have no idea what to think of NYG, the Skins, the Lions, the Phins who are coming alive, the Chiefs who are turning it around, the Chargers who were never as bad as their record, the Bungles who are wildly inconsistent, and the Bills who looked tough before injuries and faltering in Miami. The AFC South - Its just horrible but someone has to win it I suppose. The NFC South - Also horrible except for the feather soft Falcons. -
