  1. Nice! You beat me to it. I think his hands are worse than TO's and Stevie.
  2. You sound like a candidate for a job at OBD. You can talk to Nix and Gailey about your thoughts and how hindsight makes you smarter than they are. So, you don't like this past draft? Spiller is turning out OK too. You should apply for a job at OBD. They really need you. Hindsight,Hindsight,Hindsight,Hindsight,Hindsight
  3. I like dareus but I wouldnt have had a problem picking Green and Dalton after watching them play together all year It's comments like this that really piss me off. Nix doesn't have the luxury of hindsight. For all you Nix bashers, take a look at the #1 overall pick in the draft history and tell me what the odds are that this player will be all world. By the way, IMO Fitz would have taken the Bengals to the playoffs this year. He's better than Dalton at this moment. Ahh, the power of hindsight!!! There are a few QB's that can lead a bad team to the playoffs and Dalton is not one of them. I'm glad we stayed where we were in the draft. I like the past draft of ours alot. I'd rather have Marcell than Dalton any day. Argue all you want, it's a waste of time and makes him sound like a whiner. Please understand that Nix and Gailey do not have the luxury of hindsight like you do.
  4. "I'm not going to dig it up"- That is too funny. So, it was clear that the accountant made this trade? Not Lee's lack of production?
  5. I posted a month or so ago some numbers through the 1st 7 games to show that this D, when healthy was creating turnovers at a rate that was at or near the top of the league. This was no accident. We didn't have a lot of sacks, but was creating pressure and causing turnovers. We still gave up a ton of yardage, but we knew we still needed LB help. It wasn't just int's, we had a few fumble recoveries too. Once we lost Kyle and Merrimam you could see a differnce in the lack of pressure. So now our NT spot is weak, so we put Marcell in that spot, weakening the DE spot that was Marcell's.Now you throw in the loss of Troupe, Mcgee, A. Williams(for a few games), and G. Wilson for a few games. When healthy, the D helped win games even with a lack of top talent and depth(look at the turnover #'s and Def. TD's in the first 6-7 games). He got the most out of what he had to work with. Right now, he doesn't have much to work with. Now if we could get someone like Phillips, I'm alkl for it but I'm willing to give hime another season.
  6. We do have the option to franchise hime like SD did with V. Jackson. Can we trade a player that we franchised?
  7. as long as he comes cheap, otherwise, f'em. And then you complain when he signs with the Pats or Jets how Ralph is cheap. I remember a guy who had great hands, awesome speed, and never did or said one wrong thing. Also caught about 5 tiems as many td's as johnson has in his career and we just gave him away. Do i need to say his name? He's been in the league alot longer, I hope he caught more than Stevie. It's not like Lee's a Probowler. Let Stevie go and you are writing the same thing next season. Show me where we have a more talented receiver that we can afford to let him walk. We already dicussed FA's won't come here, so lets get rid of whatever talent we have and replace him with... oh yea, no one wants to come here.
  8. Why?!? Why not. If he is one of the top 53 players in camp he should stay on the roster. Parrish, when healthy is better than what we have out there now. It's a gamble that any player will stay healthy all season. IMO Roscoe is worth the gamble. Did you see what we are rolling out there for receivers? Roscoe would probably look good out there right about now. What is funny is that Buffalo fans want Buffalo to get better...yet we are never willing to give up on players. Whats funny is that when we do give up on players people complain about that(Willis, Lynch, Maybin, Poz,Fletch, etc). Receivers are a dime a dozen anymore. I say keep him and see if it works out. We needed more than a dozen this season. We have a dime to spare. Right Ralph?!
  9. I know he's on IR, but I believe he's a FA after this season. Given the state of our wr's, I say bring him in and let him fight for a job. We could use his speed, and he looked good in the slot 'till he got hurt. I know he hasn't stayed healthy much, but we need all the wr help we can get. Hopefully Easley and Roscoe can provide some help to this depleted postion, almost like 2 free draft picks. We need it. Thoughts?
  10. I guess we agree to disagree. Replace Welker with Stevie and I think you'll see Stevie is a better option(think about it, Brady to Stevie). I already mentioned Brady and the TE's, but that line is not alot better than ours, not even close to being alot better. A good running game? Come on! That Oline is aging. As for the coach, no argument there. I don't think the Giants beat us in the SB if not for Bellicheck being on the staff. That D sucks like ours and for the same reasons. They don't have the LB's to run a 3-4, so Bellicheck is running mostly a 4-3, while we run a "hybrid". As for the rush D for the Pats, you have to pass to keep up with that offense, and why run when passing on them is so easy and picks up bigger chuncks of yardage? That team is not by far better than us. Brady, the TE's and staff are where they have us beat. Pretty even after that.IMO.
  11. I agree with you on the Jets, but that window is closing pretty fast. I think they have 2 yrs left after this one to win a Super Bowl.
  12. No drafted QB will succeed in Buffalo as it is currently constructed. Not here to argue, but I watched the Pats replay on NFL network and couldn't help but think that the Pats are only a few players better than us.I know, I Know, I must be on crack to say such things. Take a look at the replay, they couldn't stop the Skins(who we shut out). They have no running game and no deep threat for Crists sake and that Oline needs help. The only major difference I see is Brady (the obvious one)and the 2 TE's(esp. Gronk)that make up for the lack of deep speed. But really, Brady is what makes them run right now. Without him the Pats are the Colts part II. This team would run so much better with a franchise QB, but since theres only 5 or so of them out ther, I agree, keep building this team. I think I'm gonna like what I see next season.
  13. You would pay Crabtree more than Stevie?! Mike Wlliams?!Out of this list, I would only take Dez and maybe Reggie(he's alot older). As for the rest maybe Tate and that's a big maybe. I can't see those guys doing what Stevie did to Revis. With a better compliment on the other side, OR a nice pass recieving TE, Stevie would put up #1 type numbers. Most people say this now, 'till we get rid of him and complain when he does well elsewhere(Maybin, Mcgahee, etc.). By the way, you say you place him at 32. How many teams are there in the NFL? If my math is right I count 32. So you have him at 32 and he's definetly not a #1, right?!
  14. And why, on this board of all places, where every other post seems to be a "Ralph is cheap" post, would anyone care how much he is paid?
  15. I didn't read the contract, but maybe it was front loaded. Quit reaching.
  16. Hell, don't forget to add Bruce Smith, Thurman, and Cornelious Bennett. They all left for more money(past their prime), but were extended while here. That last statement was not relevent to the topic. The topic is not extending black players. Not whether a white guy's contract was worth it(even though we all know he's not worth it).
  17. That's a loaded question. When was the last time we had anyone worth extending? Starting QB's are highly paid throughout the league(deserved or not), as are DE's. When was the last time we had a black QB worth extending a contract to or black DE worth extending?
  18. This topic is not that controversial, it's actually a non-topic.Pretty sure this franshise has made as many black millionares as any other. Now, if all we did was draft white players, then you are on to something. The OP is either a racist himself or an idiot. Maybe both. But thats just my opinion.
  19. So, because Johnson's agent didn't get what he wants, Ralph is racist?!?!?
  20. This is the same staff that drafted Vernon Gholston with a top 10 pick(I believe) and couldn't utilize him properly. We are not the only team with busts.
  21. Do you mean the future Hall of Famer who is now healthy and would do that to just about anyone when healthy?!?! So you picked him and it didn't work out too well?!?!? Some talent evaluator you are. Sounds familiar, huh? The Bills staff is not the only one who gets burned by injuries?!
  22. Thanks for clearing things up, but these guys will find something else to B word about.
  23. Yea, I sense a trend. A lot of babies on board who need a life. QUIT CRYING! We know, we know already!!! So whenever an ex player does well we're going to B word. Get a life people. I heard Mario Hagan recovered a fubmle for a TD somewhere! Oh no, what a mistake that he's not here anymore. Nate Clemments made a tackle last week! Oh no, what a mistake he's not here anymore. I saw Takeo make a tackle against us too, oh no!!! You all wanted Maybin gone(Ok 95%) and now the front office made a mistake!QUIT CRYING!
