sounds trite , but Rome was not built on a Sunday in the fall. McBeanes via McDermott had a vision that Defense was the first priority as it was Sean's area of expertise i might guess. I think this seasons work solidified my opinion. Even though they have made some efforts to bolster the Offense over two seasons , it remains incomplete. And that could be an understatement : ) Long row to hoe building this team. I think the defense is formidable and will competitive at the top level with this years additions. albeit an never ending work in progress. Offense is surely trailing. My friend i have lived and visited many places. I have friend sall across Rochester and its surrounding area. Consider also Bills may not have all the Coaches they want yet. Some might feel ( me ) that Dennison was a stopgap. They made a number of changes on both Def and Off as well. This past draft is NOT the defining moment of the Team long term. I hope Pegulas are more patient. Unless the Team goes off the track ala Ryan Bros , it will be hard for me to set a date for Beane to realize success. certainly not 2019 and probably not 2020. I might bet they agreed on a five year goal with some metric inserted.

From my experience some folks here have a track record of being rather knowledgeable. Some have dedicated seasons to the study of players. Some might well have been Scouts, or Coaches and over NFL players. One or two might be associated with GM material. Bill has shown over time that he knows more than most all of us when scouting. And he remains humble about it. I am comfortable deferring to him. even when i don't like his evaluation : ) I think the number was 4 actually vying for the top QB picks. As to success rates? So muuch is circumstance as in the Team that picks them . Their ability to develop him proper , and then surround him with players to increase his confidence and long term health. One of the reasons i sure hope they are doing as appears and letting AJM or Peterman hold the reigns as long as possible A rare day when a QB is a sure thing !
