I guess i have this ringing in my ears. Bills have never really developed a QB. And lets for sake of argument leave J Kelley out of this for now. to me, Allen needs the Old guys in the room. This season especially was key. But i certainly will not argue that a QB has it or does not. regardless of circumstance. with proper mentoring i think folks ramp up quicker and more complete. I wish Anderson was AJM and Barkley? maybe Peterman, when the season started. who starts a rookie QB season with only one QB from the fifth round who has shown severe traits of mistakes when passing the ball ? and everyone , i think at least , considered Allen a project. and for fun. : ) who was the mentor crap you note ?

do you think the team might have gotten off better if Anderson was on the Team during preseason ? QB Coaches are not the end all. And perhaps ours is not that good. spending to keep a 3rd QB not dressed is not going to kill the budget nor the Roster at this point. Bills messed the the situation up hard in trusting Peterman was viable, and letting AJM go. been a bit of a train wreck since then. i would have gone into the season with 3. one to mentor and cover a game if needed. one to start the season who was not epic fail proven.

I would start Barkley. just because he will get killed soon enough with this O line ( it was the jets people) and then Allen can come in. Natural progression trust no one. and certainly not me well done. and I like your location. Takes me back in time. should i give it away ? it would be easy to do i would ride the horse till he came up lame. then i would shoot him. Because they shoot horses don't they ? and then start Allen. and let him know, Buffalo Bill is willing to shoot a lame Horse

I agree about keeping both at this point, there is no key player we need to keep on STs over QBs right now !

we need to separate Knowledge and mentoring from talent. they are not the same things. A guy can know exactly what a Coach wants each play , but be unable physically to execute. Teaching is done many ways 2ref.

where do you folks come from all of a sudden ? But you are correct. There are more than two types of learning of course. But kinetic is certainly one of them ! No reason not to put Barkley out there. he might get concussed like Anderson was his first game in ?? or accidently wet himself ala Nate. He just won us a game huge , showed poise, plus awareness +he ran the Offense as intended by Daboll. That was how it IS done. with the O line and WRs still a ? mark ? i would prefer to sacrifice Barkley over Allen. but who knows, maybe just maybe .. last week against a team that had given up (Jets) is a trend. process trumps all though

I would reverse the theme Barkley is the back up Anderson is the mentor.

Thompson should be a steady route runner and good effort player. Be nice to have for Allen (?) or Barkley and Foster is going to be a good fit moving forward. dig you point about opening up the field vertically. Been the bane of the Bills for two years now. Defenses don't care about the deep ball

Derek Anderson is likely Coaching ready IMO. should have been brought in day after they drafted Allen if only to mentor. Having Barkley her now who can do a bit of that as well, and play is likely one of the highlight of the season in the QB room. He is a smart dud e from all I have read. and Barkley appears to be a viable backup you can put on the field with some degree of hope. good question yeps

I had to watch him of course. First play he was looking for someone to pummel. he made it to the second level i think ! on a pass play ! away from him. Over aggressive perhaps. But they also smacked some guys around. trending up already I think i fell in love. He played with attitude all game and perhaps inspired Bodine a bit. love the Bills underdogs

if we recall McD's running commentary about Nathan up until Anderson joined the team , and now Barkley being brought in to start? He talked very highly of his skills in practice and such. this move says to me, OOPS ! just kidding !!
