It absolutely means something when you have a QB who is incapable of throwing for that many yards in a league when just about everyone can. The point isn’t that throwing for 300 yards means you’re going to win. It’s that sometimes you’re going to be in games when your QB is going to need to put up a ton of yards and points and up until Allen we’ve shuffled many QBs who couldn’t do that.
