You know what's the difference between Jerry Jones and Ralph Wilson? Super Bowl Rings. -
Bill Polian's last four drafts
NaPolian8693 replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's obviously talking about Manning. The last few drafts have not been Polian's best. He's been an NFL GM since 1986 and before that won CFL championships with multiple teams. Over the course of the last 30+ years, it's certain he has made some mistakes. No one would argue that - it's impossible to hit on every pick. The bottom line is that he has a proven history of doing a better job of amassing talent on his teams than his competitors. -
Cam Newton would probably make a better NFL running back than CJ Spiller

are we done talking about fitz!!

Carson Palmer sucks, he never was good again after Kimo blew up his knee and basically destroyed their whole rising franchise in that one playoff game. Fitzpatrick should start the rest of the year, and stay around in the future to mentor the new kid and be a valuable reserve. Looking at him as a franchise QB is just blind fan optimism. -

Here is a brief history of games in which Ryan Fitzpatrick saw most of the action. For each year, a summary is given of how many Good, Marginal, and Bad games he had. 2005 1 Good, 3 Bad 2006 None 2007 None 2008 3 Good, 2 Marginal, 6 Bad 2009: 2 Good, 3 Marginal, 4 Bad 2010: 3 Good, 1 Marginal, 1 Bad --- Even bad QBs have good games sometimes. -
I am a fan. I know I've been to more games than most posters on this board. I just think that getting the top draft pick is the best chance for this organization to turn it around.

I think that it was an overly optimistic knee jerk reaction in the first place by some to think Fitzpatrick should be the future of the franchise. I like the guy, and think he's a great competitor. I think he should finish out the season as the starter, and stay around to mentor the new kid coming in and serve as a valuable reserve. I just can't get on board with the idea of passing up our best opportunity to land a real franchise QB with the number one pick in the draft.

How about Moorman's awful shank near the end of OT to set up the game losing drive?

bobobonators: Wow. Know when to say when. -
The main positive to me is that the Bills continue to control their own draft destiny.

Okay - what do you think the realistic percentage chance that Lindell has to make that kick in those windy conditions? Maybe 30%? The coaches understand that is a low percentage attempt. They all know he's going to miss that kick a fair amount of the time. Trying to blame this on Lindell is really a bit silly. -
What does CJ Spiller have to do to be Jamaal Charles?
NaPolian8693 replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh come on now. He clearly has some ball security issues. That's not to say he can't get them corrected, but I sure hope it's something the coaches are working on with him. -
Kelsay and George Edwards exposed

Kelsay's position is not designed to generate a lot of tackles in this scheme, he is more of a containment guy. -

NaPolian8693 replied to 13player's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nope. That was a very low percentage field goal attempt. A long kick in very windy conditions is not one he is usually going to make. No one expects him to make that most of the time. Lindell has never been a long range guy, anyways. He has an amazing percentage inside of 40 yards and that is his primary value as a kicker. I don't see how that is confusing. However, the expectation is there for Fitzpatrick to not just lose control of the ball and gently loft it right to the other team. -
NE shows how it should be done.

Did anyone else notice that New England was starting FOUR rookies on defense? -

Kelsay played a solid game. No one else could tackle them, either. -

In fairness to Kelsay, Matt Cassel does have some devastating moves.

No. Perhaps my post wasn't clear enough for you. It was called "choking" when he floated up an awful interception in the clutch moment. -

NaPolian8693 replied to Mr. T's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills have a tough schedule. They also have a bad team. These two factors combine to produce a winless football team. It's not like it has to be just one or the other. If the Bills had a softer schedule they might have a win or two at this point. -

NaPolian8693 replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not sure I understand your point. Obviously Charles is a much better NFL back than Spiller. Also, Walter Payton is better than Spiller. -

NaPolian8693 replied to 13player's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How can you say the ball slipping out of his hand was somehow "not his fault"? Well then whose fault was it? It's called "choking". The game was on the line and he made a mistake lost his grip on the ball. Mistakes happen, but it's definitely his fault. He wouldn't try to blame it anyone either, let him own it. I support Fitzpatrick as the QB for the rest of the season, and retaining him as a future depth player. I just want to see them draft a new QB with true potential to build around
