  1. Mort's been a tool for years..starting when he proclaimed that Jim Kelly wasn't retiring but instead going to play for Pittsburgh Schefter lost some of his sources when he moved to ESPN
  2. I won't actively root for an injury to anyone...nor would I be happy if Tom Brady suffered a season-ending injury...wasn't unhappy about it when it happened, either. However, while I don't root for them to get injured, I would get a bit of a chuckle out of it if scumbags like Vick, Wilfork, Peters, and McGahee's careers ended
  3. they didn't advertise it ahead of time...instead they said there'd be a postgame show after the game
  4. funny...I thought that anyone who doesn't realize that Schopp is an obnoxious blowhard was the mentally challenged one
  5. They also aired it, at least in Buffalo, after the Bills-Redskins game a few weeks ago
  6. I'm seeing it on his main page...not sure what the problem is for the rest of you
  7. I'm hoping we pick him up...I know his fiancee would love it...she'd love having a reason to move back home
  8. There are plenty of professions in which you can't get a job as a convicted felon, though. Considering the fact that the NFL is the highest profile league on the entire planet, it really needs to be one of those professions. Convicted felons can go play in the UFL or the CFL or something if they really wanna get paid lots of money for playing a game. Allowing any convicted felon back into the league is a black mark on Goodell's tenure as commissioner...especially when you consider early reports were that he was going to be known as tougher on trouble makers. When it came time to really step up in that regard, he folded like an inexperienced poker player
  9. If I were to call you a rapist, would that make it so? They didn't even press charges against him let alone was he convicted....try to pretend you understand the legal system at least as well as a 12-year old
  10. my thoughts? It's ridiculous to try to compare the two You have 1 guy who was convicted of a felony You have another who was not only not convicted, but not even charged of the crimes Don't think about the crimes they committed and you'll see how ridiculous the comparison really is That being said, anyone convicted of a felony should automatically be banned from the NFL for life
  11. the majority of 08? He sucked most of the season...allowed a league high 11.5 sacks and clearly had no interest in playing that season
  12. Luckett couldn't have overturned it whether a flag had been thrown or not...it was way too close a call to try to make on replay Truth be told, Luckett's gaffe he's most famous for, the coin toss, actually fixed a glaring mistake made earlier in the game. The game should've never gone to OT as the Lions had a clear TD called out of bounds. Not sure, but I'm thinking it was Johnnie Morton who caught a pass going out of the end zone. He clearly had both feet inbounds but the officials called him out. Had the TD been called correctly, that game may have never gone to OT with the Lions winning in regulation
  13. not seeing a real major benefit to going 1-15...who wants another Jamarcus Russell? I'd rather have an Aaron Rodgers, who was drafted 24th overall. The only positive out of drafting high is more choices...the negative...stuck with a ridiculously high salary which could set the team back for years if he doesn't pan out. With a good GM, you don't need a high pick to get an impact player and it's ridiculous to want it.
  14. same replay rules as today. A replay has to show definitive proof that the call was bad in order for it to be overturned. Luckett couldn't have overturned it whether a flag had been thrown or not. Replays available weren't conclusive enough to overturn it
  15. Coleman I can understand...he was the referee in the Just Give It To Them game...add Terry MacAuley to that one...he was the official who threw a flag on Henry Jones on the Hail Mary in that game Luckett I don't get, though...it's true he was the referee for Homerun Throwforward, but in all honesty, the camera angles were not definitive enough to allow him to overturn the call...he couldn't have overturned it even if a flag was thrown, either. The real official at fault for that play was Side Judge Byron Boston (father of Bucs WR David Boston) who, as the replays show, was behind the play by 5 yards when it happened. Had he been in the proper position, a flag would have likely been thrown and we would've won the game. Luckett's not at fault for that one...only Byron Boston
  16. Yeah...enough of a fan that he cheap shots our players every chance he gets now...I remember hearing he was a fan...apparently he's bitter about not being selected by us As a player, Vick isn't worth thinking about....as a human being, he doesn't fit...he's total scum
  17. McGahee and Peters...I don't think about players from other teams enough to hate them...though I will admit Bruschi is annoying as hell...and though they aren't players, Jerry Jones and Robert Kraft are the 2 owners I do definitely despise...Jones and Kraft both for trying to ruin the league for the regular fans with their pricing and Kraft especially for the fact that his teams have been cheating since 98 at least
  18. anyone who really think we NEED a new stadium can pony up the money for it. The stadium is great the way it is...maybe a little remodeling in the restrooms and concourses but other than that, leave it alone...we simply can't afford a new one in this area
  19. he said away game....can't go to the game if you're in town and the game is in Miami
  20. The Aud Sports Bar on Transit...last year, it was the host for the 103.3 The Edge away game parties and considering how well they did with it, I suspect they'll hold them again...lots of TVs all around to watch all the games..though obviously the Bills game gets the most and best TVs as well as the sound. If they do host the away game parties again, there's giveaways all season long as well as a TV at the end of the season that you'd be drawing for. Anytime the Bills score, a pair of Buffalo Jills will be going around the bar giving out entry blanks for the year end drawings
  21. The worst part is that WGR listeners still get to hear that obnoxious act of his carried on by Schoop...I won't even listen to WGR unless the Sabres are on while I'm in the car or it's the weekend
  22. I love how Chan handled it and I love the fact that Nix hired him more and more. I've never been a fan of heckling players on your own team even at a game and I've seen it more times than I can remember. 1 idiot even threw a box of popcorn at Terrell Owens after a loss early last season (thinking it was the Browns game). All it is is negative reinforcement...the players usually feel bad enough after a bad play or a loss and the coaches get on them enough as it is. It's our job as fans to support them...the only reason I can think for being pissed at a player after a game is if he was clearly dogging it and not trying...like Jason Peters was guilty of frequently in 2008. That being said, I can understand why some fans heckle at games....but at a training camp practice? Talk about a group of idiots! He only told the players to avoid that area of people...not all the fans. I know if I were at camp and those douchebags were near me, I would've moved away from them soon after they started mouthing off...if people thought their stupidity was ok, then they're not much better than those idiots, IMO
  23. Whether people look at the front page or not is really irrelevant, IMO. Posting the link to the article in the forum allows people to discuss the article...that is what the forums are for after all...discussing the Bills...threads don't need to be completely original thoughts
