  1. word is, Jauron made the final call on whom to take since we haven't had an actual GM since Donahoe was fired
  2. Your 3-year old is more mature than the losers quitting on the team and telling real fans to do the same, though.
  3. ditto...there's a reason the Bills didn't draft him...he's a cheap shot artist...I kinda wished he had played when we faced them here...Richie could've paid him back for all the crap he's pulled on the Bills in the past
  4. Peters quit on the team in 2008...was the worst pass blocker in the league and was directly responsible for the sack that lost us the game against the Jets...how anyone can back the guy is a mystery to me. He had 3 years left on a contract that was already a very good salary that, by all reports, would've gotten reworked eventually had he not QUIT on the team. Walker wasn't cut due to money but performance. If the Bills hadn't tried to go to a no-huddle, which Walker couldn't hack, and still cut him, one would have to wonder why he was cut because he was solid for us in 2008, far better than that lazy slob Peters.
  5. To suggest that they aren't trying just because they aren't successful is ignorant There is no sure-fire way to succeed or else every team, including the Bills, would be doing it. As far as Ralph opening the wallet, he's done that. Players are getting plenty and as far as coaches, they're getting what Ralph feels they're worth. Jauron was the 10th highest paid coach in the league in 2009 after the extension he signed after the 5-1 start in 2008. Ralph's a businessman and he'd go bankrupt if he automatically paid everyone ridiculous sums of money when they haven't earned it. He's known to be willing to throw $10M per season at Shanahan...I would think Cowher would get close to the same. If a cheaper coach gets the job, it will have nothing to do with money..guaranteed.
  6. Mind telling me the name of the head coach of the Ravens? Because like in the case of Mike Smith, I'm talking about an NFL Coach in his 2nd year with no previous NFL head coaching experience Here..to help you out a little http://www.baltimoreravens.com/People/Coac...n_Harbaugh.aspx
  7. hiring Schonert as QBs coach in the 1st place was idiotic...he's been poor at that job his whole career but as far as AVP taking over, at that point in time, it was the only move that could be made Regarding Peters and Dockery, they were awful last year, Peters because he's an unprofessional slob who tanked it on purpose Walker...if we hadn't been trying to run a no-huddle, would likely still be here
  8. I wasn't aware you were part of the decision-making process with Marv and Ralph
  9. players notice that coaches like Mike Smith and John Harbaugh are successful. Let's say we get Frazier...there's a lot of players in the league that like and respect him as a coach...that's a selling point to them as far as proven, the only 2 with SB rings are Cowher and Billick. Cowher's looking like a longshot and for whatever reason, Nix doesn't seem to want Billick. Maybe he knows him and doesn't think they'd be able to work together....and if your GM and head coach aren't on the same page, you're guaranteed to fail
  10. our last head coach had experience...for all we know, Frazier (if he's the choice) could be the next John Harbaugh or Mike Smith We've been spending money...Dockery and Walker got some fat contracts...and as far as coaches, Jauron was about the 10th highest paid coach in the NFL this season at $3.5M per year players leaving...some had to, like Clements and Peters, others...were the result of stupidity on the part of Donahoe and Jauron. Nix has said he wants to get players in here to develop and keep..unless you wanna call him a liar.
  11. I think the draft and free agency will tell us a lot...word is, Jauron had the final say as far as what players were actually brought in. Now it'll be Nix...and he was key in bringing in Florence and I'd wager he had a lot of say in selecting Wood and Nelson as well, being from the southeast
  12. anyway, you missed some earlier posts...no coach has ever won SB's with 2 teams...so bringing in Cowher promises us nothing...and they're doing everything short of putting a gun to his head to try to bring him in anyway The so-called best coach in the NFL just got beat in the playoffs by a 2nd year head coach....so a coordinator CAN work. A commitment to the fans is doing what they can to bring in the best coach they can, who they feel will work...and they don't have to agree with you, me, or anyone else here on who that man is. My choices were Shanahan, Cowher, and Gruden...2 are out and the 3rd is a longshot right now. Guess what? I'm not gonna be a baby and cry and abandon the franchise if I don't get my way because you know what? I know I don't know everything...and I know that you CAN'T FORCE COWHER TO COACH HERE!!
  13. quoted for truth...only thing being done is drawing attention to yourself...and not in a positive way
  14. link? never said that...but I sure as hell would turn a blind eye to it if someone did something to him
  15. look at the opening paragraph in your post...you'll give up on the team if they hire a coordinator instead of someone who's proven.. why? You seem to think you know we'll fail if we don't get a proven coach so that suggests psychic powers...if you ain't using them to win the lottery, you're wasting them. Oh, and if you're gonna start calling me names, you better be man enough to do it to my face instead of from behind a keyboard like a coward
  16. You're bitching about personnel moves like a little girl...man up and realize you don't know everything Are you wealthy off the lottery? Because if you ain't, there's no !@#$ing way you know that Frazier or Harbaugh or whoever else we may hire will work out...give it a rest and grow up.
  17. as all true fans are...because if you abandon your team just because you disagree with some personnel moves, you were never a real fan in the 1st place
  18. no kidding...anyone who doesn't realize that the Bills leaving WNY would make our economy even worse than it is is beyond ignorant As far as getting a proven head coach in here, short of holding a gun to Cowher's head, the Bills are doing everything they can to bring him in...can't force someone to work for you. Besides, no coach has ever won Super Bowls with 2 different teams so it's not like we can count on anything happening if we do get him. Meanwhile, a 2nd year head coach led his team to a victory over who most think is the best coach in the NFL earlier today. If anyone is actually full of himself enough to think he can tell the future and say no current coordinator can turn things around here, then he damn well better be rich off of lottery winnings or else he's just plain full of crap.
  19. Being ranked #1 in the league...the fact that Flutie played awful that year...the defense was easily the biggest reason for the 10-5 record
  20. Yeah...there were a bunch of pass interference penalties...on both sides, though. He's retired now and I can't recall the name, but the referee for that game was known as someone who generally threw a lot of flags...we had 12 penalties ourselves. Luckily, that was back when our fans were smart enough to shut up when the offense was on the field so getting false starts at home were rare. They got a lot of false start penalties, though...maybe 4 by their LT on his own
  21. possible...but Fina started the game http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxs...00001080oti.htm As I recall though, Fina went out in that game and they moved Dusty Zeigler over to LT and brought Jamie Nails in off the bench to play RG
  22. 22 penalties..and don't say it's just because the 49ers didn't mentally show up that day. I've had seasons for 14 years and that day was the loudest I've seen that stadium on a consistent basis in that time. Their LT was frazzled because it was his first start, he was facing BRUCE, and he couldn't hear the snap count. We even had Steve Young so frazzled that he lined up behind the G at first on one play
  23. I'm reminded of Michael Irvin and Leon Lett with this whole thing. They were accused of rape at a party at Lett's house and considering their history, everyone believed they were guilty. A week or so later, the "victim" admitted she made it up. Quite honestly, I'll wait til the facts come out on this one but if the accusations are true, dump him. Criminals should be in jail, not making millions playing a game
  24. Here's a fact Johnson and Flutie both sucked...as QBs and as teammates. Neither could do the job onfield and neither was mature enough to put the team first because they both brought the QB controversy to the media in a childish manner anyone who doesn't realize that is living in a fantasy world
  25. 2 things I don't believe in Leprechauns and coincidence Besides, I think Buddy mentioned something about bringing in Drayton in one of his interviews last week
