  1. I think Dorsey is figuring some things out for himself still. Unsure if he’s ever going to be “the man”. But there are some things I like about this offense that I found frustrating under Daboll. For all the “Josh can’t do it all” Daboll asked Josh to…well…it all.
  2. That’s on Evans. It wasn’t perfect. But that’s still a drop.
  3. Baker is a guy I didn’t like in Cleveland. He just had/has this punchable face. But I find myself rooting for him to find some success and catch on. He seems to be a pretty gritty player who isn’t giving up on his career.
  4. Just in general I think we need to get our TE involved in the passing game more. Just based on snap counts we seem to be running a lot of 2 TE sets. That doesn’t do much good if defenses don’t respect them as an option in the passing game. On a similar note, more plays to possession receivers like Knox, Kincaid, Sherfield, and Shakir would be beneficial. We put a lot of value on the fast and look over the sure handed sometimes.
  5. Part of “getting hot” is winning games with extended drives and ended all/as many as possible with points. If the pass rush continues to get home and Allen stays on the field with minimal turnovers and 3 points every time they touch the ball, that should be enough pressure to throw them off balance.
  6. Not just that. This is suddenly a team that only needs to “do enough” on the offensive side of the ball.
  7. I’m watching at a bar so I’m admittedly more distracted than at home; I’ll have to rewatch. It seems like we’ve been hitting on a few chunk plays but struggled with maintaining drives. I’d love to be more methodical. Too many 3rd and longs in the first. The defense has had to come out quick after either an offensive 3 and out/quick score. Not sure how sustainable that is. Here’s to no points on Washington’s first drive and a good 6 minute drive with points to open up our first possession.
  8. Sort of reminds me of a more athletic Andy Dalton. Good enough that you kinda sorta have to pay him QB money because moving on is too much of a risk.
  9. They’re averaging 2.8 per carry. Barkley is great. But if he’s the difference between a reasonable run game and embarrassing you didn’t really have a run game to begin with.
  10. The run game is 9/25 yards. Terrible.
  11. For the most part I’ve thought Josh and Daboll grew together. Some problems were on both. Some improvements were on both. They were great for each other for the time they were together.
  12. On replay that was a terrible 3rd down call. There was absolutely zero option to Jones.
  13. This is starting to feel like death by 1000 paper cuts.
  14. I think it’s two fold. Deebo is talented. Super talented. You also have to have the cast to draw the respect away. Kittle and CMC are no joke. Diggs isn’t Deebo, but I always feel like Diggs and co are talented enough to open up the screen better than we do. Part of the problem is proving to the defense that we’ll throw the ball to anybody at anytime.
  15. That feels like a safety to me.
  16. Smart kid. Very quick release. Enough arm to do just about whatever he wants.
  17. It felt like there were 10-15 free yards for the taking on that return as long as he didn’t….run directly into the effing gunner for no reason what so ever.
  18. Danny terrified of the 49’ers. It’s not just taking what the defense gives you. Reminds me of some Bills eras, a drop on first down haunts you because you can’t do anything but 3-4 yards at a time.
  19. He knew it, immediately popped up but just stood there. Ref checked in. But if the ref checks in I feel like that should automatically trigger a professional to take a look at him.
  20. Robinson looked noodley getting up from that third down pass.
  21. Good Guys - 27 Bad Guys - 9
  22. I am personally a big fan of the 1994 Bronco @ Los Angeles
  23. Does he have kids? Could his kid be involved in something?
  24. Drugs it is then? Maybe he is depressed so he has schlepping mushrooms or LSD? Pain, He has fentanyl for that! Narcolepsy? A little bump never hurt anybody!
  25. This is fair I think. As a fan I think the season is more fun to go through 17 weeks as like the 10th ranked team in the league. Being thought of as the best or second best team means that you are trying to live up to these really high expectation. And more often than not the best team in the league doesn't necessarily play the best football in the league that week. Last season I felt like a prisoner of expectations. Unless we were lights out we weren't the best. And if we weren't the best we failed. It is kind of like the Olympics, most bronze medalists are happier than silver medalists. Silver medalists generally think a lot of "well what if....then I could have won". Bronze medalists think "Woah, look what I did. That was sweet".
